Such a great list ive recently installed gears 5 and titanfall 2 and am blown away by how well they run on this device. I'm going through ac rouge for the first time also and happy to say its maxed out at 60fps love this device. Dropped a sub also keep up the great content

I’m playing Max Payne 3 on the Ally and is amazing. Forgot how much fun that game was when launched on 360. Also playing Octopath Traveler 2.

Steamdeck is my first love as far as a switch like PC... I just got the rog ally and that screen.... The screen an that z1 extreme apu are a monster mix together.
Love my Ally! So far the game I have played the most has been Fall Guys. Native Windows means any launcher is a go, 10w silent mode, it's running at 720p low settings getting between 80-90fps! Plugged in on Turbo, 120 fps on high settings. The back buttons are set up exactly how I had my controller plugged into my PC and its a dream. It's also great for fighting games on the go as well! If you want titles that you can keep at 10w 720p, Killer Instinct, Skullgirls, and Ultra Street Fighter 4 will run like a dream. Want to use performance mode or turbo, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 11 all run in 1080p very nicely with medium settings for main gameplay (Street Fighter 6 open world will not hit 60 on any mode so be mindful). I think relearning controller for FPS games will be next for me to try taking Apex Legends and Call of Duty on a handheld.
I love Fall Guys! I play it on PS5. It’s so bloody funny. I am actually terrible at it though 😂 I bet it looks so nice on the Ally screen with the bold colours

I redeemed my game pass that comes with the ally. I downloaded halo inf. WOW it took ages!!! I’ve played, dead by daylight, fallout 76, left 4 dead and 2. Dead island and riptide definitive editions, dying light 2 and a few others. But I LOVE playing clone hero in docked mode!
On my laptop I play Warhammer Darktide free on Gamepass. It's a great gritty game. I would love to see if it runs on the Ally.

What settings did you use? 1080p, 720p, medium or high quality? Makes a huge difference especially cyberpunk

Tekken 7, Tekken 8 (Closed Network Test), Dying Light 2, Elden Ring, Armored Core 1-5 emulators. Just waiting on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

I got most of these games and totally agree, but I want to ask you a favor since you mentioned that you use the XBOX game pass and (( need for speed Unbound )) is among them could you plz download the game and try to run it on the Ally?
I can't play it and I've looked everywhere for a way to do that but no luck.

Replaying gta5. Battlefield2042 runs really well was very surprised so playing that. Also fifa and forza my normal xbox stuff. Rog ally very capable lil machine
I just play some lightweight games at 10-15 watt like Planet of Lana, Ori and also original Dead Space at night for immersion 💀 for heavy and latest AAA i play it on pc.
Have you tried World of warship on Asus Rog ally?
You should try MGSV Phantom Pain. It's so good, currently playing it on my ally 😊

Are the buttons FULL sized on the Ally, or are they small like the Switch or Steam Deck?

Love my ROG Ally - just wish that The Armoury Crate App wouldn't start loading up on the screen as soon as I switch it on!

I've been using the mouse and keyboard that I cant play any 3D games on handhelds, especially shooters. Its sad. I use my Ally mostly for 2D games..eek

What's the thing on the back of your ally?
It’s part of the DeckMate system so I can attach my battery or kick stand. They annoyingly released a white version before I committed to sticking the black one on 🙈😂
HoL is a great game that needs a longer sequel or even batter royale mode
You said the colour is better on Ally over Steam Deck, is it software or hardware?
Hardware. Massive massive upgrade/advantage that people seem to overlook

I'm sure you could in terms of power. I'm not sure if it is better with track pads though. In which case the steam deck might be a bit more suited!

Thank you for some good, honest feedback on the ally and the steam deck. So many fanboys/girls hating on the ally without really giving it a chance. I do think the steam deck is a great semi conle like experience with pc games in your hand but given the Ally running windows and not being out for long has been a great experience for me. I think youre review today since a month ago with your steam deck vs ally has changed for the positive. Not saying its changed to where one is better than the other but just more time with the ally you start to feel and see its charm. So much that i sold my sd. Not because i didnt like it but because i just prefer it and i can play all of my games on it without dual loading window's and even then it still wasnt the best. I like them both and am glad each exist but for now my 2 handheld package is the switch oled and the ally. I really dont have to use windows much on the ally and when i do i typically just dock it and im good to go. The display, speakers and fan noise are just that much better after playing them side by side. Sure i dont have that suspend feature and it does get worse battery life in some titles but i do think with time windows and asus will keep continuing support and making the experience better and better. Just like when steam deck launch it had a crap ton of flaws itself and thankfully after a year valve has really done great with its updates and making it the best it can be. Awesome review and wonderful content as always. I have been playing eastern exocist because it was in game pass and i had it on my wish list on steam so no need to spend more money. I've also been playing anno mutation, fortnite, cod, doom eternal, dave the diver, and many others.
Since making this video, I confess I have probably only picked my Steam Deck up like twice 😬 the Ally is just wonderful and so sleek and I am totally in love with the screen quality! I still love the Steam Deck and all it has accomplished for the handheld market!

i mean i like FPS shooter, im getting my ally tomorrow and i will try borderlands, rage 2, but i think that are not good games to play, if u say the "PERFECT Games". Maybe more something like Palia, Baldursgate, FinalFantasy, Assassins Creed, Diablo4 etc Spidermen could also ok, if it runs okay, but just my opinion, i dont think shooters are a lot of fun, but maybe im change my mind (: @@Emily_Lowrey

It’s my favvveee I’ve wasted so many hours of my life on Warzone 😂 got 97 wins in Verdansk before they changed everything. Haven’t bonded so much with the newer maps since but it’s still awesome

did you get tired of the "just play" not really working out....or not being able to hold 60fps with 1080p and the pointlessness of having a 1080p screen and not being able to hold a good frame rate.
sorry but 30fps is 15 years ago....i dont expect hd but really ....the rog struggles to do 60 fps gta5 at 720p....pretty pointless device.
yes i have the rog....sick of people like this makimg one or two videos biggin up the rog when they should say the truth....both the rog and steam deck is really poor... legion go....dont be fooled by its 1200p screen....same story.... struggle to do 720p at 60fps.
Does the ally have its own store to buy games? I know you can play game pass,steam, etc
No I don’t think so. Just their Armoury Crate software makes it really easy to access all the stores from one central place 😁
