Hahaha I actually have big hands. Well above average size. I was thinking the same when reviewing the footage. It's the lens. It's a wide angle and distorts reality.
Great video! I have an RTX 4080 gaming laptop and I'm considering getting an Ally. Do you think it's worth it?? I know that you also have a gamer laptop so I believe you can solve my question
Yeah absolutely! It allows me to have a large laptop for heavy lifting tasks and the ally for just use when lounging or when I don't want to carry much. It's a great companion. I won't trade your 4080 for it though.
I have the Spigen shell case for carrying, a chinese rubber grip case, the rog 65w dock, the raiju mobile for blutooth controller, jbl flip 5 for speakers, and I switch between my samsung buds pro and senheisser overears.
The sd card reader they used wasn't meant to handle those kinds of thermals. Definitely an oversight on Asus. But the APU is very well protected with fans and liquid metal
Travel case looks very soft, although its waterproof but im more afraid of damaging the Ally if I drop it. Not recommended. Wireless controller seems fair as I've tried playing the ROG Ally, my hands gets cramped after long usage. I prefer an actual dock rather than a charger dock. I'm not sure how my laptop and phone is able to detect my wireless earphone but not the ROG ally which is weird honestly. Power bank with high power capacity and output is highly recommended. I've played OW on 15w perfomance and my batt becomes low after 5-6matches straight, 12-15% per game. Using a bluetooth speaker for the ROG ally is dumb really. The device itself has really good speakers, I was surprised to how loud it was. Having a portable monitor is perfect for those without a PC but it will look even great if you place it on an actual dock unlike in 14:09. Overall nice video, but really alot of miss opportunity to provide full experience on the Ally. ROG Ally is a protable PC so it should be expected to showcase things like mouse and keyboard suitable for travelling and gaming, external harddrive, etc. Give your Ally the proper setup.
Is anyone noticing he put the ally inside the case backwards. The way the indents for the sticks are placed, the ally goes the other way around. I have an ally and the same case and I realized the cutouts are meant to have the ally the other way then shown in the video
Using the case wrong... will make your analogs drift. About the Cetra... I just hated them... Lost connection, just one ear working, noise cancelling producing noise...just returned and got the Airpods Pro gen 2. The best choice.
You wanted to put cards in the official carrying case? Bahahaha the Ally needs to be able to use cards lol My Allys sd card reader completely fried and no longer works. LOL
The card readers can't handle the heat unfortunately. Definitely an oversight on Asus's part. But the cooling and thermal tuning on the AMD APU is really good
@@consumertechwarehouse have you tried assigning a back paddle to a combination of keyboard buttons - crtl+alt+c ? that supposedly opens the command center when using a keyboard.
When I bought my Ally last week I ended up buying the same case (mostly because it was really cheap like $10 USD). The case is alright. I wish that it had two zippers so that you can charge the device. With one zipper, it only halfway zips up so it could fall out of the case... I used an old sandisk micro sd card I had laying around one of the 160MBps speed ones. I cant play games off of it at all because it is so slow I tried to play Metro 2033 and it kept stuttering so bad. Not sure if I did something wrong but given the gae of the game and 160MBps being close to HDD speeds idk what to make of it
Earphone lag on a gaming system is completely unacceptable. I understand they are giving you this shit for free, but you need to deliver criticism where it's due.
The earphones I paid for with my own money. And the lag is inherent of any Bluetooth device, even if they have a game mode or low lag mode. That's why the new ROG cetras come with a USB dongle. I can't criticize just this one product, it would have to be the entire Bluetooth standard. I should have specified that though.
Why does everything look so small in his hands lol

“ASUS knows how to deal with temps” while 1000s of Ally SD card slots are literally melting lol.

Ya he’s not lying if you have fans on a dock it really does help significantly.

Hey, I’m having issues connecting my new raikiri pro controller to my new ally x, can u help me?
Hi there. May I kindly ask you to list all accessories and their functions in the comments so I can start shopping around? 😊

Mine broke too after I did this video.
Got the control on sale price match on best buy
Excedrin for pain
while using the uperfect monitor. does the monitor on the ally shut off completely?
You can set it to. And that's what I did
(UXbox E4-18inch 1080p 120Hz Monitor Gaming For XBox Series X / S) OR (UAlly K7-2560x1440 Monitor 17.3inch HDR Gaming 144Hz IPS Display)
the you had the case stand up side down not put together right
great video, just don't ever say "Clutch" again. ok thanks!
Noted! 😃

For portable battery anker 765
dude i cant see half of the products that you hold up to the camera!! nothing is in focus except the ROG ALLY itself
Does your Raikiri pro open the Comand center on the Rog Ally? And when you open it can you navigate it with the dpad? Thanks
No. The command center on the ally is unique to the ally and doesn't pick up accessories yet. It does on the desktop app though
