I recently bought this and it's fantastic. I just did a review on the site I bought it from and here is a copy/paste of that for anyone that wants this extra info: >The power cable length isn't mentioned here but it's 20ft. If it's too short (depending on where you put it) just extend it with an extension cable as that's the best method. If you make a hole in a wall (like I did) for it you will need to make it about 12mm to fit the micro usb connector through. The cable itself is 4mm in width. Then seal up with putty or something once it's run through. If you do this, leave a little slack on the outside in case you ever want to move it! >The quality is pretty decent, not the absolute best but should be good enough for most people in home use as long as it's not looking too far away. Mine is about 10m from the central focus point and sees details just fine. >The motion detection works great. Haven't had any false triggers yet, it's only triggered on spotting people (us while testing. Have it set to human only). The car coming up/down drive didn't trigger it, bugs didn't, nor has any vehicle on the road triggered it, day or night. >The night vision is good but as I found out after first night, if your mounting on a wall and you have white walls, keep them out of view of the camera (the part that is right next to the camera at least) otherwise the night vision will see it very bright and make the rest of the image too dark as it messes with the exposure. >You can use continuous recording, which I would recommend getting at least a 64gb micro sd card if you're going to use that. Approx values on how much it will store: 32gb - 3 days, 64gb - 6 days, 128gb - 12 days. Continuous recording is just in 1080p to maximise storage. It will still detect motion and notify you though which is good. >Mount it high, as the camera is only attached magnetically to the base, so any unwanted people can't reach it. >Spotlight is good but depends on how far away from focal point the camera is. You can set schedule, or have it auto come on with motion but if it does, the camera will switch to colour mode instead of night vision and if it isn't enough light you won't see much. The alarm is loud should you want to use that. The speaking through camera comes out well but is a bit laggy and cuts off the voice sometimes. Hope that can help you.
The camera is overly sensitive. I don't know what your situation is, but a headlight from up the road will trigger it. A passing car will trigger it, and the funny thing is that the camera is not pointed at the street. Shaking leaves on my tree will trigger it. A small child walking will trigger the motion notification, but the child will NOT trigger a "human" notification. I have the setting at it's very lowest, and the results are always the same. Even rain will trigger it. So is this camera something to consider? Make sure you can return it after trying it!
@@surgemas Well either yours is faulty or you didn't set it up right. I've had mine for a few months now and can count on my hand how many false triggers there have been, and they've only happened at night in the night vision. It's also never missed a person. Mine is quite high up looking down towards a crossing point of our drive. It can see the neighbours house below and the road to the right. You need to make sure you also set the detection area if you haven't. Mine is also on the default medium sensitivity. Of course a lot of people are going away from Eufy right now due to the supposed scandal but I couldn't care less about it.

I was dead set on getting the Wyze setup. After watching this video I purchased 2 of the Eufy Pro 2k cameras. I got lucky that my local Best Buy had them on a flash sale for $69. I bought them just in time. There was less then 3 minutes to go on this sale.

Although Beta, the Pet detection works well.

After watching this this review, I got 2.set Of this model 2 set of S40 2 set cam 2C pro. 1 set doorbell Dual camera battery powered.Just finished mounting them all 3days ago have been been trying to review all of them, over all I prefer this little C2 is very amazing greater than all this expensive ones , I have inverter with steady light so I don’t care about the battery, I mounted one on my living room, and one at my garden. Very impressive! Because it is always "ON" the response time is super quick, the 15fps at night looks pretty good, and audio is good. The overall picture quality is very good. In one week we had in our neighborhood 1 attempted catalytic converter theft and one theft of a catalytic converter. In front of the same neighbor's house! My wired lorex couldn't pick up the thieves because the cars were going to fast and my Reolink eco which is on a street sign was too slow to pick up the bad guys. I am convinced something powered needs to be right next to the street to identify the bad guys. This might be a home run. Thanks again for everything!
@LifeHackster is there any major difference in the 1080p and 2k. They look almost identical to me on video quality. Is it worth getting the 2k or it the 1080p just as clear?
Just grabbed one of these cameras. Just what I was looking for. I have it facing our condo's parking lot which has a decent amount of lighting. Was worried it wouldn't go into night mode and then the spot wouldn't activate with motion. The good news is since its not a starlight sensor it does go into night mode (wyze v3 does not) and the spot light does come on with motion. But if I turn auto night mode off, the color picture is still good at night and the spotlight still goes on with motion even not in night mode. Like LifeHackster said I just wish it had a more secure base than a magnet.

How much can you turn the camera on the mount? I would need to turn mine about 35 degrees in order to get the view I want... Just wondering if the entire camera is magnetic as it turns or just the back?

Would be great is you would test motion with a direct on-coming test.

I just got the Eufy Security Outdoor Cam E210, but a memorycard is not included, in fact the instructions does not mention this or what kind of memory card is needed.
You did not show the installation from the outside to final plug-in......how do you get these powered and have a concealed wire? Are people going to drill a hole through their inside wall and have a cord hanging down their inside wall and plugging into an outlet? I don't get it.....
I didn’t show it because there are 1001 ways to do it. Attic install where you run an extension cord in your attic, wall or wire through a window install, or install the wires outside to a power outlet and with a cord cover, conduit, PVC pipe etc… use your imagination. Anyways, I will eventually make a video showing wiring options for this plugged in cameras. It is worth it to have a wired vs battery power. Battery power is my last option.
Hello Lifehackster, I appreciate the information you provided. I have a question regarding the outdoor Cam E220. You mentioned that this camera has internal storage and can record up to 12 days 24/7 with a 128GB capacity. My question is, can we connect the E220 to Homebase with a 6TB internal storage in order to record for more than 12 days continuously, or is it not possible to connect to the homebase for continuous recording? Thank you in advance.
I've been waiting for a full power option with mains power so happy to now see one. But for me the biggest let down is the unit storage is only local to the unit via SD card and NOT to the Eufy Homebase storage unit! Why this? The security of the camera is compromised having SD card only option. Having video storage away from the camera makes so much more sense on the homebase, plus it keeps all your recordings in one place like a professional system would be. Eufys Indoor cam 2K also has only SD card option which I dislike when I already have the homebase option!!
I was also wondering about this. If this camera only stores recorded video locally in the SD card how can you watch the recorded video on your phone? Is this only available if you pay for cloud storage subscription? If you can watch recorded video on your phone without subscription how long does a video stay accessible in the app?
Thinking of buying this camera based on your detailed review and explanation of setting options. Did not see an option to choose the duration of a video event duration. What are the duration options and where in settings are they set?
Is there any good solutions for power source (not including solar)? I am not a fan of having to run just a standard wall plug outside. It would make much more sense if it could be hardwired.
HOW LONG ARE THE CLIPS? DO THEY CUT OFF AFTER 30 SECONDS ETC? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COME BACK ON IF THEY CUT OFF AFTER 30 SECONDS? IF YOU HAVE CONTINUOUS RECORDING, CAN YOU WATCH JUST THE PARTS WHERE THERE WAS ACTIVITY?

Is the long lead weather resistant? I am going to have to run the long cable down the front if my house through my front window?
Yes, as long as the power end is inside or in some weather-proof power plug then it's fine to have the whole cable outside.
Another great review, Can the camera stay on 24/7 to use as a monitor on a tablet ect
I have not tried it but I have a feeling that it will time out after a few minutes. It is not designed for continuous streaming.
Yes
Hello Lifehackster,
I appreciate the information you provided.
Does this work with Google Nest Hub to view the content ?
It should.
Thanks - Great video. Is the power to the camera USB? Do you have to pay subscription for the motion alerts?
Can the alarm be turned on manually from the app?
Yes.
Great review as usual. Do you happen to know a way of connecting the alarm with extra speakers??
Can I trigger the alarm at the cam automatically just by human detection (not motion detection)? Also at night?
Where can I buy the cam?
Yes... amzn.to/3vxyRba
Good night, does this camera works in Mexico? Thank you 😊
nice eufy outdoor camera 2k
Does that worth changing my wyze cam for those ?
Can you create alexa routines based on motion detection?
Yes, you can.
But you’ll get the video feed on your phone don’t you? So even if the cameras stolen you can view on your phone? Am I wrong lifehackster
I was also wondering about this. If this camera only stores recorded video locally in the SD card how can you watch the recorded video on your phone? Is this only available if you pay for cloud storage subscription? If you can watch recorded video on your phone without subscription how long does a video stay accessible in the app?
This camera support rtsp, you can stream to for example raspberry pi
Does it have a multiple units or cameras option like 3 cameras one app something like that?
is it better than reolink lumus ?
@9:19 for 2k....this appears fuzzy to me....but my monitor can only display 1080....crap.
Thinking of buying this camera based on your detailed review and explanation of setting options. Did not see an option to choose the duration of a video event duration. What are the duration options and where in settings are they set?
It is automatic and not configurable but it will record as long as there is motion.
@@LifeHackster Thank you for your quick response and excellent reviews. You are a valuable resource!
Hi there,
Is it possible to connect the outdoor cam pro 2k to homebase 3? thanks
Is there any good solutions for power source (not including solar)? I am not a fan of having to run just a standard wall plug outside. It would make much more sense if it could be hardwired.
There are now USB ports on like lamp sockets or floodlights that you can plug this in.
Can the Eufy Outdoor Cam pro be synchronized with the Eufy Homebase ?
I plan to have a 3C for outside application and the Outdoor cam over the porch.
Does this camera still not record at 2k during 24/7 recording?
HOW LONG ARE THE CLIPS? DO THEY CUT OFF AFTER 30 SECONDS ETC? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COME BACK ON IF THEY CUT OFF AFTER 30 SECONDS?
IF YOU HAVE CONTINUOUS RECORDING, CAN YOU WATCH JUST THE PARTS WHERE THERE WAS ACTIVITY?
Does it upload videos to the Eufy HomeBase? I don't want to use SD-cards.
This seems like an upgraded 2C. I may have to get this! Big Eufy fan here.
How would this handle with the sun?
I think it would handle it without issues.
