Honestly i think this could have been a pretty god rival to those 90s japanese cars, and even the styling screams japanese 90s street racing vibe, it gives off that feeling that its being released to the wrong people at the wrong time at the wrong place...... To me this car screams mitsubishi elipse, with a bit of toyota celica and other late 90s and early 2000s cars. it doesnt scream alfa romeo guiletta, it seems like the type of car to be the next toyota supra or the next skyline R34 or the mazda Rx7 Rival, where did they go wong? Not making the SRT4 model and killing it.

Yeah they had a lot of options and they were using engines across fca cars so it’s not like it was a huge cost just to grab some of those and try a dart version

To the last questions you asked: Yes, i own one (Limited) And yes, I would love for them to redeem the dart once more with something special like that, using the fascinating model we currently have. Its what drew me in to get one in the first place. The dart is very stylish and naturally aggressive, but i wouldve loved to make some people eat my dust instead of constantly seeing taillights flashing lol
I would buy a SRT Dart, love the styling. I would stop investing resources into more widebodies though and develop this segment to its fullest. What a disappointment. Surely FCA has something else up there sleeve.
Ironically, there are tons of upgrades that you can get for the Grand Caravan 3.6, and HP Tuners has PCM programming available for it. Us Journey owners....we just get crickets chirping. Sigh.

I’d like to see it happen. The Fiat expertise in compacts fell far short of my expectation at launch too. Styling wise though, the Dart was a looker inside and out.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Dodge. Sad to see the state it’s been in the past few years. Owned a Dodge Neon when I met my future wife. We had plenty of road trips and memories with our Dodgie.
buddy had a glh and i had a shelby charger. dealer pissed me off and i didnt get an SRT neon. caliber was not on my radar cause i was rocking a dakota and had to have a truck. srt dart coudl have been a winner for me and woudl not have even needed AWD to help keep weight and cost down

When I was 18 in 1999 I bought a 75 Dodge Dart SE 318 v8 2 barrel car. I really liked it but I was a broke dumb kid and couldn’t ever afford to do anything with it. Besides it was a Colorado car most of its life and it was rusted to hell. I ended up selling it and the kid I sold it to just abandoned it. Last I knew it was sitting in a barn of a sold property. No title for it now.
Ralph Gilles back in the day said if they could make it will perform as well or better than the original. Neon SRT4 ran 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and ran the quarter in 13.7
Guess they failed , I mean think about it , it's hard to outperform that platform especially with all the new gadgets and comforts of today's tech ology without all the added weight , and then if it was awd several more hundred pounds easily ... that car would need to be around 360-380 whp I believe to achieve better numbers

Oh man. I worked for this big landscape company in Detroit from 2008-2014. I did plant health Care for Chrysler. All the way from their world headquarters, to The proving grounds in Chelsea Michigan. I saw so much cool shit that never got released. I should have taken pictures but we weren't supposed to so I didn't. I did see them winching a srt10 viper out of a pond one time, when a test driver went off the handling course at over a hundred miles an hour. They also used to drive competitor vehicles. I think the fastest car I ever saw on one of their tracks was The supercharged c6 ZR1. That car is absolutely ridiculous for a Street car.
Shame the SRT4 never got around to production. The dart is a nice looking car and actually has a really good chassis. If they had actually put some of these concepts into production and offered the scat pack performance upgrades to the consumer, they would probably still be sitting in showroom floors
I agree and am shocked they didn’t offer the concept stuff as packages. I believe Dart owners would have been very happy with the performance upgrades and they looked really good too
If they had produced the Dart SRT now they would have the opportunity of using FCA’s current 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder that is offered in a few FCA models like the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio that is the best 4 cylinder from FCA in my opinion
The problem wasnt the weight it was the choice of engines at the time. A 2.0 160 hp engine is great as a base engine. That wasn't bad. The 2.4 was ok as well and should have came on the car as an option on the lower trims. The big problem was this car had no performance option like the other cars in its class. The GTS 210 should have been standard on the GT. I would have utilised the 1.4 turbo with a ecu tune for premium. Stage 1 tunes on the 1.4 are usually 190-200 hp and 250 ft lbs. If you could get the dart GT with standard 200 hp 250 ft lbs people would have been happy. Give it the abarth exhaust. Would have sold well. The 250 ft lbs would have got the 3200 lbs moving and then the 200 hp was more than enough up top. Would have seen mid 6 second times. Then above the GT you have the RT with the 3.2 pentastar from the cherokee. This engine would go great as an RT option because dodge is known for bigger displacement and this would work well because it was the sane underpinnings as the cherokee. The RT should have the choice of the 8 speed ZF or a 6 speed manual. The car would see mid 5 second range times to go against the GTI and the focus ST with a price of 30 k. Then you could have the SRT. Use the 2.0T from the cherokee and tune it to 300 hp 310 ft lbs. You coukd also incorporate the awd from the 200. The srt with this engine and a manual with awd would have been epic.
Bro me too, I want a dodge dart srt but I made my one based in a dodge DART GT. But my would be the dodge dart srt hellcat with over 425 horsepower and 475 feet of torque damn just to think about it. Sounds amazing that's why I will buy . My own dodge dart gt and made it. Just like the srt hellcat version

I currently own a 2013 Dodge Dart rallye. I honestly thought nobody gave a shit but after reading the comments, seeing many people wanting an SRT4 version of it surprises me.
That GLH concept is BADASS as hell!!! I would totally love that!!! Make it 345 horses and then you have a killer car! 4 door sucks, but I like the smaller frame than the bigger Challenger. You can always custom build one!
I loved the dart. I had one, but the performance was just so lackluster. I defiantly would have invested in a srt version though. The exaust note of the car was really good for what it was, it just had no punch :/ so went for a challenger instead
I was going to go for a Dodge SRT4 (own a SXT Rallye atm) after college no matter what. When I heard the whole lineup was cancelled the SRT version dead I was really bummed out.
You like one, build it! Ive allways liked the looks of the first gen Neon, but I wanted a 2-door SRT that didnt exist. So I have to find a 2-door R/T, swap in a 2.4 DOHC (PT Cruiser donor?) with a decent turbo with appropriate support systems and drivetrain upgrades. Presto: a 1st Gen SRT-4.
They should push for another attempt.. I love my 2013 Rallye but AWD would be Heaven! The Subaru legacy AWD and the Mitsubishi Lancer AWC are the model competition IMO. They rocked their AWD models and basically did what I expected out of the next Dart. If they separate what Alfa Romeo is doing they'd be fine. I think the 2016 Chrysler 200 AWD hit the mark, rather confusing me with Dodge. I think the body work doesn't need an much an update rather than a new grille and bumper concept. I'm curious to how affordable it can be or at least under $30k.
My mother was buying a compact car in 2014, so naturally I suggested to test drive a Dart. She never even set foot in a Dodge dealership because the car had over 2 inches less leg room in the back seat than every other competitior in the segment. She test drove and picked a Cruz LT 2 RS automatic. The real reason this car failed, imo, is the raw numbers. Nothing on paper was enticing about this car beyond the gizmos and look.
i wonder if most of those Dart concepts are still around in storage or crushed. i had a 2015 SXT i loved it but the oil consumption was hell on the 2.4
Lost my dart in a car accident on my first day to school. Some kid ran a light. I loved my car and I wish it was faster. It was compact and the uconnect system with great sound system was great. It was sleek and sexy. I got a 2007 SRT 300 now I love this thing it's way faster and it's all around just badass. I will say if an SRT Dart released, I'm turning my 300 in and get that no doubt. They should release it to compete with Ford Focus RS.
This would be great as a Ford foucus RS comparison. Like a 4 cylinder twin turbo AWD would be perfect for this car. Backed by a 6 speed for rt model and a 4 speed manual for a RS (rally sport).
I have a dart Rallye 2015 bought 2.4 litter engine with tiger shark. new in 2016 And have no problems. I like it. good car! No midsize engine for dodge anymore.

Really I love my 2015 dodge dart sxt have had it over 2 years and Been on 6 trips that was about 1000 in one day never had a problem so don't know why they say there not reliable cars there like any car you love it take care of it and not beat it she will get you home and be ready to go again
No matter what you buy for a car there is always going to be something man I was at a garage a few months ago and this guy went and got a new truck off a dealer it had like 15 miles on it and the oil pan was already rusted to point it leaked so I rather pay what $12000 and take a chance of fixing a few things then pay $30000 to $40000 on nothing special and still have to fix shit no factory made car or truck comes out perfect
It dodge darts are so bad why can't I drive 3 miles down the road with out seeing someone driving one there is even dodge dart meet ups so if there shit and so unreliable how come you see people driving them all the time I have seen almost every kind of car broke down on the side of the road but no dodge dart yet anyways

7 seconds is GREAT for the compact segment and for you to be a major mopar channel for you not to point out that this was the best car in segment at the time (top regular trim VS top regular trim) is just crazy.
I am getting a Dart Soon maybe. Replacing my 01 Dodge Neon. She went strong for 18 yrs.*I had her for 10yrs ;( No problems only 1 PCM issue. That was all. She is still going strong at 220K miles. Ima miss her. A lot. :(
I always said they should of made it a WRX fighter. With a Base model impreza type. Base model: NA 2.4L 184hp FWD. Trims would be SE and SXT, auto only ZF8 spd. These would be the volume sellers Performance model: 2.0L Turbo AWD making 250 to 270HP. Trim would be the R/T. Manual as standard with auto option ZF8 spd SRT as the halo model: 2.0L Turbo or 2.4L Turbo making 300 to 330hp with AWD. Manual as standard and auto ZF8 speed as option. This cars biggest problem was the planning.

Dart SRT-4 = Chrysler 200S Same PF platform. A.W.D. (with tigershark engine) 298hp Pentastar V6 (9-speed) So.... I doubt the V6 would have made it too heavy. Or else they wouldn't have made one. Lol. If you want a 300hp V6 and/or A.W.D. Dart. Buy a wrecked 200. And um make one. Lol. I just might.
I currently have a 2015 SXT & im looking into bigger and better hp but don't know where to start. A few coworkers told me that its possible to slap a charger/challenger R/T motor and tranny while swapping the rear so it'd be a RWD as opposed to FWD. Im skeptical because I'm not finding anything on the custom map for inspiration but if anyone has anything please let me know. Great vid by the way. I learned a lot and trying not to write an angry email to Dodge about abandoned projects left on the table lol.
Man I really wish they'd just release an SRT model DART already! I love my DART as far as looks, styling etc goes. But it really lacks in the power department. I have a 2013 RALLYE 1.4 MultiAir turbo, which although is only 160hp. Stock, does put out the same Torque as the 2.4liter which is 180ft lbs. I love the car but as stated it definitely needs some more power! I'd prob even be happy with just even 200hp. With around 200ft lbs torque, it needs more on the "get up" & go, it takes too long to come alive IMO
What do you get when take a fwd econo box and put a turbocharger on it only to slap on the name of a entirely different car like that of a muscle car? You get a GLH.
FOR ALL DART AND 200 OWNERS OF 2.4L TIGERSHARKS, just go to a junkyard, find an old caliber srt4, take the header and turbo off of it "they both work and fit with the flange", run intercooler piping and shit, upgrade the trans cooler and rip out the trans thermostat, keep the boost under 10lbs, and get the road race motorsports spectrum tuner used off of dart facebook pages " optional" , and you can make a turbo kit for your tigershark for under a grand. On the dodge dart forums lookup project Chupacabra, he did this exact same thing with his dart and he is making around 270-300hp. The 2.4l was made for turbocharging and their are 2 kits out for the engine to turbo charge it " over 4k and overpriced imo"
My 03 PT cruiser has an SRT4 standard and gets 240 HP. That was in 2003. It's over 10 years later and it would appear that dodges standards have fallen a little bit. I don't really understand how a full decade goes by and dodges compact engine segment loses a 100 horse power over that decade. Your old cars should not be able to smoke your new cars.
From what i've heard and seen about the Dart and what has been mentioned in several comments before me is that the Dart was a very underwhelming vehicle. Like the video said it just wasn't really great at anything, just an average sedan. Had Dodge had a proper performance oriented variant available at launch I feel like the car would have sold quite well. I still occasionally see a few Darts pop up at local car meets but they are hated much more than a riced honda. The RT, SRT, and GLH Dart trims would have been cool to have around.
When the Dart came out, I had a 2012 Dodge Avenger that I loved, and I have NEVER been into American cars (I'm a Nissan/Infiniti guy). The Dart would've been my next car, to upgrade from the Avenger, and I would've bought an SRT4
I have the SE model with to 2.0L with 6 speed manual I'm trying to make it in to a SRT4 but it would have nice to see one in the SRT4 neon was good idea but if they more to I'm going to try to make mine push for 300 to 350 HP some ideas would help but dont want to crazy with it just on looks for now any ideas would help
my mom had a dodge dart 2015 and we drove it brand new o the lot and put 193,000 miles on it keep the og motor and trans the only problem we had with it was the a tire pressure sensor the car was die hard..... I'm not saying your wrong the dart was bad like really bad but there are the good ones out there that just go I'm just asking people to not make the dart so hated I love the dart myself I plan to build a 2015 I think people should give them another shot and great vid I've always love your vids
I wish I had kept my Caliber SRT-4. Someone talked me into selling it to him, so I bought a new Dodge Dart GT. While I love my Dart (and all its fancy gadgets), even with the 6-speed manual it's too slow...and I'm NOT a hot-rodder.
There's a cool but a lot of those upgrades that you were talking about for the car that the manufacturer is going to make just buy one and do it yourself just customize it
The V6 was the only viable option. They built a V6 prototype but they could not get the V6 to fit in the engine bay on the assembly line. The original 2003 SRT4 only.came about because the 2.4 Turbo was used in the PT Turbo and the Mexican Stratus. They didn’t have to create a new engine from scratch for.a low volume car.
"Flaws" did not cause the drop of the Dart. It was 100% lack of sales! Sales were low due to lack of profit on the dealers end so when a customer came into a dealership looking the sales staff would "upsell" them to a model where the profit was better. Had nothing to do inabilities of the car itself.
I currently have a 2013 Dodge Dart 1.4 L Turbo if the SRT Dart happens and it is in fact all wheel drive with 300 horsepower I will definitely be trading in my 2013 for one in a heart beat!
A limited 2017 run of 500 SRT darts would have made many future cult classics.

Guess they failed , I mean think about it , it's hard to outperform that platform especially with all the new gadgets and comforts of today's tech ology without all the added weight , and then if it was awd several more hundred pounds easily ... that car would need to be around 360-380 whp I believe to achieve better numbers

Oh man. I worked for this big landscape company in Detroit from 2008-2014. I did plant health Care for Chrysler. All the way from their world headquarters, to The proving grounds in Chelsea Michigan. I saw so much cool shit that never got released. I should have taken pictures but we weren't supposed to so I didn't. I did see them winching a srt10 viper out of a pond one time, when a test driver went off the handling course at over a hundred miles an hour. They also used to drive competitor vehicles. I think the fastest car I ever saw on one of their tracks was The supercharged c6 ZR1. That car is absolutely ridiculous for a Street car.

This car could have sold very well. It was roomy and had a good ride and was quiet on the highway for its class.
Shame the SRT4 never got around to production. The dart is a nice looking car and actually has a really good chassis. If they had actually put some of these concepts into production and offered the scat pack performance upgrades to the consumer, they would probably still be sitting in showroom floors
I agree and am shocked they didn’t offer the concept stuff as packages. I believe Dart owners would have been very happy with the performance upgrades and they looked really good too

If they had produced the Dart SRT now they would have the opportunity of using FCA’s current 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder that is offered in a few FCA models like the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio that is the best 4 cylinder from FCA in my opinion

The problem wasnt the weight it was the choice of engines at the time. A 2.0 160 hp engine is great as a base engine. That wasn't bad. The 2.4 was ok as well and should have came on the car as an option on the lower trims. The big problem was this car had no performance option like the other cars in its class. The GTS 210 should have been standard on the GT. I would have utilised the 1.4 turbo with a ecu tune for premium. Stage 1 tunes on the 1.4 are usually 190-200 hp and 250 ft lbs. If you could get the dart GT with standard 200 hp 250 ft lbs people would have been happy. Give it the abarth exhaust. Would have sold well. The 250 ft lbs would have got the 3200 lbs moving and then the 200 hp was more than enough up top. Would have seen mid 6 second times. Then above the GT you have the RT with the 3.2 pentastar from the cherokee. This engine would go great as an RT option because dodge is known for bigger displacement and this would work well because it was the sane underpinnings as the cherokee. The RT should have the choice of the 8 speed ZF or a 6 speed manual. The car would see mid 5 second range times to go against the GTI and the focus ST with a price of 30 k. Then you could have the SRT. Use the 2.0T from the cherokee and tune it to 300 hp 310 ft lbs. You coukd also incorporate the awd from the 200. The srt with this engine and a manual with awd would have been epic.

I currently own a 2013 Dodge Dart rallye. I honestly thought nobody gave a shit but after reading the comments, seeing many people wanting an SRT4 version of it surprises me.
That GLH concept is BADASS as hell!!! I would totally love that!!! Make it 345 horses and then you have a killer car! 4 door sucks, but I like the smaller frame than the bigger Challenger. You can always custom build one!
I loved the dart. I had one, but the performance was just so lackluster. I defiantly would have invested in a srt version though. The exaust note of the car was really good for what it was, it just had no punch :/ so went for a challenger instead
I was going to go for a Dodge SRT4 (own a SXT Rallye atm) after college no matter what. When I heard the whole lineup was cancelled the SRT version dead I was really bummed out.

You like one, build it! Ive allways liked the looks of the first gen Neon, but I wanted a 2-door SRT that didnt exist. So I have to find a 2-door R/T, swap in a 2.4 DOHC (PT Cruiser donor?) with a decent turbo with appropriate support systems and drivetrain upgrades. Presto: a 1st Gen SRT-4.
I like the dart's design, was about to buy one... But the one I was looking at had a check engine light on with 0 miles on it at the dealer... Ouch...

The Subaru legacy AWD and the Mitsubishi Lancer AWC are the model competition IMO. They rocked their AWD models and basically did what I expected out of the next Dart. If they separate what Alfa Romeo is doing they'd be fine. I think the 2016 Chrysler 200 AWD hit the mark, rather confusing me with Dodge. I think the body work doesn't need an much an update rather than a new grille and bumper concept. I'm curious to how affordable it can be or at least under $30k.

I always thought the Dart had the SRT4 trim level. I guess what I saw around my neighborhood was just the Rallye model
My mother was buying a compact car in 2014, so naturally I suggested to test drive a Dart. She never even set foot in a Dodge dealership because the car had over 2 inches less leg room in the back seat than every other competitior in the segment. She test drove and picked a Cruz LT 2 RS automatic. The real reason this car failed, imo, is the raw numbers. Nothing on paper was enticing about this car beyond the gizmos and look.

Lost my dart in a car accident on my first day to school. Some kid ran a light. I loved my car and I wish it was faster. It was compact and the uconnect system with great sound system was great. It was sleek and sexy. I got a 2007 SRT 300 now I love this thing it's way faster and it's all around just badass. I will say if an SRT Dart released, I'm turning my 300 in and get that no doubt. They should release it to compete with Ford Focus RS.
This would be great as a Ford foucus RS comparison. Like a 4 cylinder twin turbo AWD would be perfect for this car. Backed by a 6 speed for rt model and a 4 speed manual for a RS (rally sport).
I have a dart Rallye 2015 bought 2.4 litter engine with tiger shark. new in 2016 And have no problems. I like it. good car! No midsize engine for dodge anymore.

Really I love my 2015 dodge dart sxt have had it over 2 years and Been on 6 trips that was about 1000 in one day never had a problem so don't know why they say there not reliable cars there like any car you love it take care of it and not beat it she will get you home and be ready to go again
No matter what you buy for a car there is always going to be something man I was at a garage a few months ago and this guy went and got a new truck off a dealer it had like 15 miles on it and the oil pan was already rusted to point it leaked so I rather pay what $12000 and take a chance of fixing a few things then pay $30000 to $40000 on nothing special and still have to fix shit no factory made car or truck comes out perfect
It dodge darts are so bad why can't I drive 3 miles down the road with out seeing someone driving one there is even dodge dart meet ups so if there shit and so unreliable how come you see people driving them all the time I have seen almost every kind of car broke down on the side of the road but no dodge dart yet anyways

I always hoped they would have done it, especially as a previous Neon SRT owner. It's a shame. 2.4L Turbo with sub 300hp would have taken the market by storm
7 seconds is GREAT for the compact segment and for you to be a major mopar channel for you not to point out that this was the best car in segment at the time (top regular trim VS top regular trim) is just crazy.

I am getting a Dart Soon maybe. Replacing my 01 Dodge Neon. She went strong for 18 yrs.*I had her for 10yrs ;( No problems only 1 PCM issue. That was all. She is still going strong at 220K miles. Ima miss her. A lot. :(
I always said they should of made it a WRX fighter. With a Base model impreza type.
Base model: NA 2.4L 184hp FWD. Trims would be SE and SXT, auto only ZF8 spd. These would be the volume sellers
Performance model: 2.0L Turbo AWD making 250 to 270HP.
Trim would be the R/T. Manual as standard with auto option ZF8 spd
SRT as the halo model: 2.0L Turbo or 2.4L Turbo making 300 to 330hp with AWD. Manual as standard and auto ZF8 speed as option.
This cars biggest problem was the planning.

I currently have a 2015 SXT & im looking into bigger and better hp but don't know where to start. A few coworkers told me that its possible to slap a charger/challenger R/T motor and tranny while swapping the rear so it'd be a RWD as opposed to FWD. Im skeptical because I'm not finding anything on the custom map for inspiration but if anyone has anything please let me know. Great vid by the way. I learned a lot and trying not to write an angry email to Dodge about abandoned projects left on the table lol.
Man I really wish they'd just release an SRT model DART already! I love my DART as far as looks, styling etc goes. But it really lacks in the power department. I have a 2013 RALLYE 1.4 MultiAir turbo, which although is only 160hp. Stock, does put out the same Torque as the 2.4liter which is 180ft lbs. I love the car but as stated it definitely needs some more power! I'd prob even be happy with just even 200hp. With around 200ft lbs torque, it needs more on the "get up" & go, it takes too long to come alive IMO

FOR ALL DART AND 200 OWNERS OF 2.4L TIGERSHARKS, just go to a junkyard, find an old caliber srt4, take the header and turbo off of it "they both work and fit with the flange", run intercooler piping and shit, upgrade the trans cooler and rip out the trans thermostat, keep the boost under 10lbs, and get the road race motorsports spectrum tuner used off of dart facebook pages " optional" , and you can make a turbo kit for your tigershark for under a grand. On the dodge dart forums lookup project Chupacabra, he did this exact same thing with his dart and he is making around 270-300hp. The 2.4l was made for turbocharging and their are 2 kits out for the engine to turbo charge it " over 4k and overpriced imo"

My 03 PT cruiser has an SRT4 standard and gets 240 HP. That was in 2003. It's over 10 years later and it would appear that dodges standards have fallen a little bit. I don't really understand how a full decade goes by and dodges compact engine segment loses a 100 horse power over that decade. Your old cars should not be able to smoke your new cars.

From what i've heard and seen about the Dart and what has been mentioned in several comments before me is that the Dart was a very underwhelming vehicle. Like the video said it just wasn't really great at anything, just an average sedan. Had Dodge had a proper performance oriented variant available at launch I feel like the car would have sold quite well. I still occasionally see a few Darts pop up at local car meets but they are hated much more than a riced honda. The RT, SRT, and GLH Dart trims would have been cool to have around.
When the Dart came out, I had a 2012 Dodge Avenger that I loved, and I have NEVER been into American cars (I'm a Nissan/Infiniti guy). The Dart would've been my next car, to upgrade from the Avenger, and I would've bought an SRT4

I have the SE model with to 2.0L with 6 speed manual I'm trying to make it in to a SRT4 but it would have nice to see one in the SRT4 neon was good idea but if they more to I'm going to try to make mine push for 300 to 350 HP some ideas would help but dont want to crazy with it just on looks for now any ideas would help
my mom had a dodge dart 2015 and we drove it brand new o the lot and put 193,000 miles on it keep the og motor and trans the only problem we had with it was the a tire pressure sensor the car was die hard..... I'm not saying your wrong the dart was bad like really bad but there are the good ones out there that just go I'm just asking people to not make the dart so hated I love the dart myself I plan to build a 2015 I think people should give them another shot and great vid I've always love your vids

I wish I had kept my Caliber SRT-4. Someone talked me into selling it to him, so I bought a new Dodge Dart GT. While I love my Dart (and all its fancy gadgets), even with the 6-speed manual it's too slow...and I'm NOT a hot-rodder.

There's a cool but a lot of those upgrades that you were talking about for the car that the manufacturer is going to make just buy one and do it yourself just customize it
The V6 was the only viable option. They built a V6 prototype but they could not get the V6 to fit in the engine bay on the assembly line. The original 2003 SRT4 only.came about because the 2.4 Turbo was used in the PT Turbo and the Mexican Stratus. They didn’t have to create a new engine from scratch for.a low volume car.

With just a few bolt on aftermarket parts the 1.4 L turbo destroys the 2.4 liter tigershark. How come you don't talk about the 1.4 liter
"Flaws" did not cause the drop of the Dart. It was 100% lack of sales! Sales were low due to lack of profit on the dealers end so when a customer came into a dealership looking the sales staff would "upsell" them to a model where the profit was better. Had nothing to do inabilities of the car itself.
Wasn't there an SRT8 Charger in 2013 too?
I currently have a 2013 Dodge Dart 1.4 L Turbo if the SRT Dart happens and it is in fact all wheel drive with 300 horsepower I will definitely be trading in my 2013 for one in a heart beat!
