Coming from Ireland it's a long time ago since I seen them first, I don't mind it. I like it 😁 nice clean look.
Same as the VW badges that lift up 😊
I use it as an example to apprentices, don't ever think you know everything because it may happen you won't be able to open a boot, door or bonnet standing in front of a customer. Everyday in the independent sector has the ability to humble us.
Hope you are keeping well mate. 100% catch up soon 🙌💪👌

You are right. I don't know why they test us so much with all these things. I've been caught out before trying to figure why the VW Golf wipers wouldn't work until I fully closed the bonnet. As if we didn't have enough to remember and figure out! ☹️🤔

I couldn't find the fuel cap release on my 2007 E350 Mercedes when I first bought it an pulled into servo to fill up. I had to call the guy I bought it from, his response was it doesn't have one, you need to push it open manually. Who would have thought a Merc not having a release button 🙂

A lot are like that now. They are locked with the ignition turned on or the vehicle locked. When the ignition is turned off, it releases the lock, so all you have to do is press the flap to open.
What was wrong with a simple lever and a cable? They seemed to work just fine. 🤔

LOL, I had a 407 , it had a button on the inside, I didn't find out about the button in the badge until after I sold it.

French cars are very different. My sons Peugeot 208GTI requires one to read the handbook 20 times before it makes sense.
