    It's always interesting to see how similarly or differently the OEMs do things. Some use the regulator to generate suction that fills the plastic container the pump sucks from.

      Correct. Some use a 'suction jet' to transfer fuel from one section to another.

      @@MiracleMAX I can't seem to find one. Our kids ix35 has just started cranking long before starting. I don't believe this filter has ever been changed, so I was going to replace the whole unit (2 birds with one stone mentality), but for the life of me, I can't source one anywhere.

      If it is a petrol engine with an in-tank pump, then yes, that should be the same
