Super super useful, informative and detailed. Thank you! A couple differences on our 2011 Touring: (1) The big metal collar/ring that holds in the fuel pump was not fastened in by a bunch of 8 mm bolts instead it was threaded. Remove by putting a screwdriver in one of the holes and tapping the ring counterclockwise, once unthreaded the fuel pump pops up as in the video. (2) Once you get everything apart on the bench, there was also an o-ring and plastic spacer underneath the fuel filter, that had to be transferred over. So one o-ring on top as shown in this video, plus one [o-ring + plastic spacer] underneath

You scored on this one! As you know, some vehicles you have to pull out the tank because the manufacturer is too cheap to outlay the couple of cents it costs to cut an access panel in the floor.
    Good job as usual! 😊

Thank you so much man I have the accent but it's also in the fuel assembly. I bought an after market filter, it was an inline style so naturally I assumed it was somewhere between the tank and engine. Well after several hours looking I found a diagram showing it's indeed in the assembly.

Where is the fuel filter located at because I looked at three different sources and all three sources said different locations... It's no where by the fuel tank... And one said under cer by where feet are when driving.. and if that's the location is there like a secret compartment that opens up so you can access it kind of like the fuel tank pump cover.... Hello and thank you for this very informative video. I own a 2013 Hyundai Tucson w/105,000 miles. The car has started feeling sluggish when accelerating at times and also takes longer to start car ( I need to hold key during ignition a bit longer).
Are these signs of a bad fuel pump or filter? Do you recommend to change filter and or pump because of mileage? Im willing to replace fuel pump assembly assuming that its easier and not have to take old existing assembly apart to access filter. Thank you for your help and opinion.

I know from past experience that when ordering service kits for many cars the parts supplier sometimes says it has a lifetime fuel filter in the tank (therefor not required to be changed) and then this can be confused when they say its fuel filter is in the tank.... difference being it will need changing like this video shows at some point in its life but often not done.

Hi Gerard I love your video' I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. For no apparent reason it just cuts out and I have to coast in to the side of the road and wait a few minutes. And it's starts up again and is ok. It goes in to limp mode and engine light comes on. The last time it happened I decided to put in some diesel and when I opened the fuel cap a big gush if air came ou, and when I started it up after putting in the diesel the engin light had gone out and it was ok again. I am waiting for it to happen again. I have replaced the fuel filter with genuine Hyundai filter. I have fitted a new fuel pressure switch and new glow plugs. it perfect around town plenty power and starts easy. So what do you think is happening Donal Joyce Galway

It varies on different models, 60,000km is the interval in some Hyundai's, realistically there is no such thing as a lifetime filter on anything, it's just a service plan cost reduction implemented by the dealers to make a purchase look more appealing especially to fleet companies, estimating the vehicle will be out of warranty before any issues arise.
If it has a filter it will get dirty over time, how could it not?
