In the years following Alexios' mysterious disappearance, many young men resembling him tried to claim the throne. In the end, none of those pseudo-Alexioi managed to become emperor.

Alexios did become emperor but his mother was disliked by the people due to her western heritage, allowing Andronikos (who was Manuel's rival) to become his regent and later murder the young Alexios by strangling him with a bow string. Andronikos himself would end up being torn apart by an angry mob a few years later, but that would not be the end of the Komnenos dynasty

10:10 dawg after playing this game for a good while, I can feel your anger because ik how stupid some of these game events and how long it must have taken you to find a way around it man. It was even worse in the older patches, where literally a year after I made a custom character (I didn't have kids) I got the bs falling off your horse event with an 80% chance to kill you, so my run just ended. After save scumming for literal hours, I figured out you can avoid the event entirely by doing an activity like a feast or something.

If you do a part two, I think you should Hybridize with the Georgian Culture adding Metalworking and Castle Keepers to the Greek Culture. Then upon cool down reforming to include Only the Strong. Then your Knights/player character Prowess should consistently be in the twenties 🤙🏿🍻
If you reform Orthodox to include warmonger, virtuous witchcraft and Temporal head of faith. You should have holy war casus beli on all religions. This could allow you to put in the seventh and eighth slots of your super culture: Sorcerous Metallurgy and By the Sword. You will be able to have infinite kingdom holy wars so conquering Europe and England will be more manageable
I recommend adding witchcraft as virtuous, because I do believe there are witch coven events that can unlock the Immortal Perk. So you will want the Piety Bonus of being the head of faith and head of coven. Just my thoughts this video was rad 🤙🏿🍻
Good stuff, just don't underestimate the diseases. It's fairly historically accurate how entire Empires will go into a tailspin with one ill timed death.

u can defeat rum very easy if u just build 2 stacks of siege weopens and conquer the capital which takes 4 to 6 months after u have done that just push his army and u immediatly win the war takes like 2min but nice video non the less
I was kinda upset because you missed your opportunity to conquer Rum with your first ruler and thought you'd miss you chance with Saladin with the 2nd but then you stackwiped 50k men with like 100 casualties 0.o
