I actually had such a similar story to the first one, however this happened yeeaaars ago. I think it was 2011-2012 I was 7-8 years old and having a sleepover with my older sister in her room. I vaguely remember that it was around 3:14 am when we heard constant door ringing and loud banging on our front door. I remember I rushed out of my sisters bed and hid in the closet while my sister, brother, and my parents checked the door. They opened it to some guy yelling for help and saying he was hurt. My parents and siblings said they didn’t see anything, not even the man’s face. We had a sliding lock and I think the man was trying to get in. The man left. As I hid in the closet, I thought my dad was the one screaming. I got scared, but later found out it was just some dude. We called 911 but there was no more trace of him. This all happened when I used to live in Arkansas too.

Everyone is talking about how stupid the guy in the second story is. But no one's talking about how in the first story they didn't call the police the first time the guy tried to break in.
I think it’s weird how they let an unarmed man ( assuming because they didn’t mention one) sit up in their house while they hide. There’s at least four of them and just one of him.

Although most people probably wouldn’t have fell for it, I do feel bad for the person in the second story. It’s so sad how many thieves, scammers, etc. take advantage of the COVID situation to play on people’s sympathy. I feel like a lot more people are more aware of other’s needs and circumstances now, so these people know it’ll be easy to trick someone out of their money or assistance.
The person in the second story was inconsiderate like okay she got eibbed but she also got her roommate and brother robbed. Her stupidity caused multiple people to lose valuables not to mention the roommates jewelry could have had sentimental value to them. Risk your own belongings not other peoples.
Shout out to the dad in the first story who was willing to hide in his own locked bedroom while leaving his son to fend for himself in his unlocked one. Dad of the year right there.

It seems stupid, but he likely knew the guy didn’t have a weapon. Sure, he came back, but that doesn’t guarantee he grabbed anything to defend himself. He likely knew anything the guy had would be used to hit someone. If he’d had a gun, he likely would have stormed through the house loudly, thinking he had the upper hand. If he had a gun but didn’t want to shoot anyone, he would’ve been a lot quieter, as not to wake anyone.

I can say for a fact that I work in customer service and some of the regulars that come in (usually very polite and chatty) aren't so much now, they've gotten so paranoid and verbally aggressive because of this virus. In the last couple of months I've seen a lot of true colors come out in people😔

When I was a kid, about 10 years old it was summer break, my mom's friend came over for personal reasons and they were talking. It was about 12:30 and my mom told me to put my sister to bed, she was 3 years old at that time. I read her a few stories and turned off the light. I told her if she was scared she could just call me and I would come. A couple minutes later I was grabbing some water, then I heard this tapping noise and my sister called me screaming at the top of her lungs, "Come outside" I said shakily, no response, I was a kid and didn't know what to do at the time, I ran inside and grabbed her, and called my mom, my mom grabbed a kitchen knife and went to go check, "Stay here in the kitchen girls," she said as her friend followed her, she came back and said it was probably the AC, but her face said different. Later that night, I was helping my mom fix our bedroom lightbulb, and then as soon as I was done doing whatever she asked, I hear a plastic type of noise as if it was a candy wrapper or something, I jumped in bed and yelled, it was coming from the closet. My little sister was fast asleep, my mom didn't hear it. I know what I heard and my little sister remembers it to, she said that she saw a person behind the door tapping on it as she looked back, I don't know if I was just being dumb and paranoid or it actually happened.
I get scared really easily. I will binge a bunch of these videos, then get scared, won’t watch them for a month or two, then come back. It’s a vicious cycle really.
