Someone once said that that every other vehicle in the 4runner's class beats it on paper, however the 4runner is still the better vehicle. That makes sense when you think about it. You dont buy a 4runner for the technology or gas mileage. You buy it for reliability, endurance, great re-sale, and bullet proof engine/transmission. Personally I love the vintage look inside. I love big dials and gauges and that digital clock is so freaking cool. I hate the current trend of all digital displays. They look like a video game and it looks cheap IMHO but I know that is the current trend.
Thank You for entertaining us through 2021. Like last year ,this year couldn't have been that much easier and I for one appriciate your dedication. Have a great festive season and new year. Regards, Dafydd
Something I've noticed between the Tacoma and 4Runner... toyotas mentality is almost "if it isn't broken, don't fix it". People purchasing those two don't seem to be in it for the tech, but the longevity they instill. My buddynhas a 2021 4Runner Trail, drove it the day he bought it. Ordered a 22 Tacoma TRD Sport for myself. Something to be said about a proven design.
That is true, basically my thoughts behind if you don't need the newest tech, buy this one, because the 2023 will be all new. And there is definitely something to say about proven tech!
I have a ‘23 TRD Sport and heated mirrors are standard. They come on with the rear window defogger. Heated seats are not available on that trim level - at least in the U.S.

True, however if I can get all of that with a more modern engine / transmission that gets me more power and better fuel economy, bring it!
@@techgooch If you get all that with the reliability and resale value of the 4runner then you have won the game :)

I truly appreciate that! I hope your New Year is as great as I hope it will be!
4runner update is 2024 not 2023 now. Should be getting exact one you reviewed in about a month at MSRP. Really looking forward to it.
