Thanks for the feedback, I just checked my SR22 and the base of the front sight is LESS than 0.5" above the center of the bore, so any can 1" or smaller should be fairly clear. Fatter cans will hurt visibility though, and benefit from taller sights.
I'm very interested to see the threaded barrel, ESPECIALLY pricing.

At 10:00, that looks like a TOTALLY defective magazine, or magazine retention latch. Not "a bad feature" nor a "poor design" at all. I can't get mine to have that problem... even if I tried. My mags cleaning/quickly/firmly lock right into place. It's either 100% in or 100% out. No pounding, no 6 tries, no partial latch, no pushing forward/back, etc. I DO have the "forward/back play" that you mention at 10:52, but no issues with it. "Defective" is different than "poor design" or "bad feature".

It was not a terrible point to make, there are many possible reasons. The first one I thought of was someone going shooting with their children. To teach them, they'd prefer to change out the grips to facilitate much smaller hands if they otherwise would shoot with the larger grips. This could mean changing every week.
Second, the word "whatsoever" is a single word, not three.
And lastly, the Ruger SR22 doesn't have a clip, but I'm glad your magazine catch is more secure than mine was.

Have you be able to remove the front sight? How? Just forcibly push it off? (You make, by far, the best gun videos in terms of "official sounding announcer" style. I mean that in a very good way!) At 2:13, you say the front sight is yellow dot. None of ours are yellow, only white. I looked at several other SR22s and they are all white dot. When you say "it's hard to see on camera" why not hold it NEAR the camera so we can see it?

At 14:51, threaded factory barrels are now being offered by Ruger. Yeah! Ruger! (They weren't, back in April 2012 when the video was made.) A great place for a new RUclips caption/balloon update right over the video!

The only problem I have with the loaded indicator slot is: Far too small to see anything useful. (And it obviously can't be made huge.) Can you REALLY see the round in that tiny thing? And do you very often use it? If I don't know if a gun is loaded or unloaded (that's pretty bad), I would pull the slide back and make 100% sure.

Nice review, But I think you are wrong about the site, It will clear SS Sparrow, the diameter of the Sparrow is1.062" and the length is 5.08" will clear much better than P22, Also you are right about the large grip for the mag, try the small grip is much easy to insert the mag, Hope Ruger come out the threaded barrel soon..

At 15:06, regarding the pricing value: Online they are now only $289 + free shipping. And that already includes all the money you'd spend on the $30 extra mag, 2 extra butt plates, $20 extra grip, lock, case, etc. Easily $60. All the things Ruger COULD have left out, but they included for free. (If I were buying 1 today, I'd gladly spend the extra $40 for the threaded barrel model, instead of the extra $150 (ugh) for the aftermarket barrel from some non-Ruger company.)

At 8:58, "case ruptures are very VERY common in 22"? Are they really? How likely is a "very VERY common" event? Every 10,000 rounds? Every 1,000? Every 50? Do you get a huge number of those types of failures? But since you are talking about *RIM* ruptures (not casing ruptures).... how common are those?

Very nice review man. Very much appreciated. In the future it may help viewers if you were to slow down a little bit. You were talking a little fast. Im being an ass or anything, just saying that it may be helpful.

The mag problem you mentioned is the same on the 22/45. If you dont move the bottom of the mag forward it will not latch in. I think you are a little bit nit picking with your review, but thank you for it anyway.......
