How do you remove the butt stock??

Thought process on how a long trigger pull is MORE useful in high stress situations? Wouldn't that be a disadvantage? It could cost you your life, the seconds it takes you to pull the heavy trigger?

Dang that was a fine rifle design. It is a larger version of 581. Dang ! It would have been great in 22 magnum and 17 HMR. One in 22 Hornet would have been a dandy.

Ihave this rifle and replaced the barrel with a Green River octagonal ,22 LP barrel RE-VHAMBERED to .22 WMR. It is now more accurate than teh factory barrel! ** To get away from the annoying requirement to partially open the lever (& bolt) to remove the magazine I took out the offending plastic cylinder, ground and filed it to a length short enough to permit the option of keeping the bolt CLOSED when changing magazines. RUGER must have listened to some damnable "risk attorney" when they designed it that way.

Can the chainsaw grip be taken off???

Instead of the screwdriver/punch to remove the trigger pin, cut a wood skewer 4 inches long and cut enough of the pointed tip to fit in the pin hole to drive/remove the pin. This way you don't mark the gun or pin.

This is the "Gun Knowledge" channel but he uses incorrect tools to take the gun apart. Folks, if you want to keep your guns looking nice and in good condition, use the proper gunsmith punches to remove take-down pins, don't follow this joker and use a screwdriver.
