What Happened Immediately After JFK Was Shot?

  • On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Arguably the crime of the century, Kennedy's murder stunned the American people and set off an outpouring of grief around the world. But the days after JFK's assassination also involved additionally shocking events and dramatic moments.
In the immediate aftermath of the JFK assassination, Kennedy's alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, was shot to death live on American television. Oswald's background as a former resident of the Soviet Union, his Russian wife, and connections to communist Cuba added a cold war component to the assassination. The sketchy background of Oswald's assassin, Jack Ruby, also quickly fomented numerous conspiracy theories that became an integral part of any future discussion of JFK's assassination - one of these even claims countless eerie coincidences between Kennedy's life and that of Abraham Lincoln. What happened following the assassination of John F. Kennedy - arguably one of the world's most important leaders - had historical, political, and social implications that still reverberate today.

I wonder just how bad she felt about his death, especially in the light of proof that her husband was known to have reportedly had an affair with Marilyn Monroe. If I was her, I'd be thinking, at least within myself, that he got what he deserved. I know that's a very cold thing to say, but if you think about it, there's an old adage that states:"You can't do wrong, and get by". Is it possible that she, in her heart of hearts, after finding out that her husband did this awful, adulterous affair, may have actually wanted him dead? My text here may be controversial, but truth isn't always pretty. It can be ugly, too. Please bear in mind that I'm not making any judgements, but, based on the facts, she really could have wanted him dead...and that she could've been putting on a very mournful front. Not judging...just kind of curious... that's all.

I was 13 when JFK was murdered. We were inclass when a girl came in from the school office and said the President was shot. The teacher got very angry and told her to never say such a terrible thing. About 10 seconds later it was announced over the intercom to the whole school. Our teacher stood up, tears in his eyes, and apologized to that young girl. We were in shock. I don't remember much about the rest of the school day. There was nothing else on tv for the next three days. I remember leaving the house on Sunday, Nov. 25th to ride my bike. There were no cars driving around. It looked like an 'end of the world' movie. This was a terrible event in our nation's history.

The reason he didn't fall forward was due to that back brace he was wearing - anesthesiologist at Parkland described it as going all the way up to his rib cage and interfering with breathing as part of the resuscitation effort issues. That's not to say that bullets didn't come from the front. In fact the Ford dealer had a demand for a replacement windshield before the car was to be seen again [USSS]. The Oswald stuff is just tribal knowledge and conventional wisdom that survived the day. The CIA had temporarily rented an office right behind the book store building on the second floor. I heard it at 12:50 pm "the president has been shot." After school, I went to the newspaper office to get my papers. I had to wait while they rewrote the front page. As I brought the newspapers to my customers, most were waiting in front of their homes. Our town only had access to 1 television station. Some said that they could not believe this had happened and that they wanted more details. On Sunday, we came home from church and I turned on our black & white set. I was the only one watching when Oswald get shot by Jack Ruby live on the TV! I went into the kitchen to tell my mother, where she was fixing Sunday dinner. I told her and she reprimanded me for having a wild imagination.

According to Agent Hill, Jackie was not trying to “leave the car” in an effort to escape; she had crawled out onto the rear of the limo to grab a piece of JFK’s skull, which had landed there after the bullet had shattered his head, sending fragments of skull and brain tissue flying out. She grabbed it just before Agent Hill got her back into the car, and she held on to the fragment the whole way to Parkland hospital, where she handed it to one of the doctors in the trauma room. Agent Hill felt that, in her shock, Jackie thought that the skull fragment was important, and that it might be needed to help save her husband’s life. Though Hill later said, that she also might have retrieved the fragment to avoid having the piece fall off the car, and the possibility that it could be found by someone who would keep it as a ghoulish souvenir.

Hill actually testified that he grabbed Jackie and pushed her back in the car which he does not if you view the film. Jackie is already almost back in the seat before Hill sort of grabs her arm. It almost seems like he is pulling her back from the seat instead of pushing her into it but I'm sure it wasn't intentional. At any rate Hill certainly does not push her back into the seat as he claimed in testimony.
Hill also claimed that there was a softball size blowout in the right rear of JFK's skull. He sort of changed his story later and moved the wound to above the ear. There is certainly no softball size blowout in the right rear of Kennedy's skull in the extant Autopsy photos.

Even the house subcommittee on the subject agreed the evidence suggested multiple shooters. They were just too spineless to state it flat out. And, several witnesses for the inquiry died at exactly the same time, in different places in the country before they could testify before Congress. Here’s something not mentioned in the video, the Soviet government was terrified after the assassination. The first question on anybody’s mind in the Soviet elite was “Did we do that?” Pretty much immediately after news of the shooting reached Moscow, the KGB launched a full investigation to see if they had any ties to Oswald. At the same time, the USSR made war preparations because they were worried that the U.S would blame it on them and go to war.

I have read at least a half dozen books and watched endless footage of the assassination, as well as every documentary I could get my hands on, and so I feel that I am quite knowledgable on the subject of the JFK assassination and all the different conspiracy theories. I even remember when it happened as I was in the first grade at the time. The one thing that is never mentioned in the analysis of the event is the fact that the driver of JFK's limo slowed down after the first shot, turned around after the second shot, and didn't accelerate the hell out of there until JFK's brains and blood were splatted all over everyone in the car. He wasn't waiting for Clint Hill to catch up, and if he was, well then he's still an incompetent fool. All that training and when he hears something that sounds like it might be a firecracker, or worse, a gun, what does he do? He slows down. We never hear about him or his name or see an interview with him. I have wondered why this man's incredible lapse in judgment on that day has never even been discussed. If he had accelerated after the first or even the second shot, JFK would not have died that day.

K.M. Haswell - He didn’t fire any guns that day. The test was negative for residue. He was in the lunch break room waiting for a phone call to give him the go ahead to assassinate JFK. The call never came. Malcom Wallace was upstairs in the 6th floor window shooting a Mauser rifle. David Morales was with him spotting. Malcom Wallace’s fingerprint was found near where he had fired and hit Gov Wallace thinking it was Senator Yarborough. Gary Marlow shot Officer JD Tippet. Weatherford shot JFK in the back left shoulder from County Records Building roof. Laurence shot JFK through the throat. Sturges and Roselli shot JFK in the head from different positions. Sturges was beneath the overpass and Roselli was in the storm drain. Tony Izquierdo fired from the DalTex building but missed because he was using a Mannlicher Carcano which is junk. Roscoe White also fired but he purposefully pulled his shot left due his angle of fire would have killed Jackie too. James Files claimed he had a 222 rifle and had fired as well but I am not sure I believe him. I know White threw his rifle to Charles Haroldson (Woody’s father) who broke it down and placed it in a tool box.

Also the fact that Oswald was never seen panting or breathing heavy when he was seen in the lunchroom immediately after the shots were fired. If he was actually on the 6th floor, he would barely have had enough time to RUN down 4 flights of stairs to barely be in the lunchroom in time for that encounter to occur. He’d be out of breathe and noticeably panting heavily. The cop and his boss never reported Oswald doing either. The Warren Commission Report also omitted all that evidence too because it didn’t fit their narrative. What a joke.

When the first shot rang out, the motorcade booked it all at the same time as an agent (I think it was a George Folley? now deceased) grabbed his ready to go AR-15 and tried to stand at the EXACT moment the limo, causing Folley(?) to fall back squeezing off a round into JFK. IMMEDIATELY, a bunch of SS agents gathered up tons of evidence...even JFK's brain, so ZERO could be traced back to the agency!!

Jackie didn’t just “try to climb on the back of the car” she tried to grab her husbands brains and put it all back together. So sad.

I’ve actually never heard of her trying to flee; was always my understanding that she was trying to get the brain matter. To those who thinks that weird; a former colleague did the same thing when he lost his daughter in a similar horrific way.

@@RoyalCaymanian imo it's actually sad people would judge a person in shock for trying to put the brain matter back in. It's so obvious they are doing it because they are shaken. People are so insensitive these days.

Jackie did NOT try to escape "in a panic," and in fact did not try to escape at all. I'm sure this sentiment has been said many times in the comments below but it's such an egregious statement and can be so quickly ascertained as false. Yet despite making this video you didn't come across the correct explanation of Jackie's actions in those last devastating seconds of her husband's life. Jackie's reason for climbing across the trunk was to collect bits of his skull-pieces of him, her husband. She acted fast and it seems to me that motivation for it was hoping against hope that he could be put back together by doctors, making it important they had all the pieces. In the immediate aftermath, let's within 2 minutes, she would have by then realized there's nothing that can be done for him.

Clint is on record saying Jackie was trying to recover the brain matter and skull parts that sprayed to the rear of the vehicle. That’s not the same as “trying to flee the vehicle.”
