Because of all this insanity, I have acquired four different guns and large amounts of ammunition. I am not a gun guy. They terrify me. But the people who have labeled me and people like me “the enemy”, I fear them so much more. I’ve even gone as far as writing up a plan for me and my loved ones, just in case shit hits the fan. Ive been quite active helping people learn about politics and voting for years, which has led to death threats this past week. I have no idea what else to do but prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I fear losing for obvious reasons (P2025 is horrifying) but I fear winning just as much. They didn’t take it well last time, they will not take it well this time. I can’t believe this country has fallen this far, this fast.
Of course things need to change. You can't just let everyone over the border. But, like the volunteer said, most are good people. Get organized, fix the system and put these people to work. There is a labour shortage. We allow these people to get out to work in Canada. They become good workers, citizens and neighbors. I know several South and Central Americans and I'm happy that they chose to settle here. They make our country better.
I know it’s hard, but we need to all watch this all the way through. Put it on mute in the background if you have to. But I think we should all watch it. What we watch shows the media, and hopefully the American media, what they need to be covering. They have statistics on it all and they will cover what sells. More American Media outlets need to be covering what a danger to Democracy Trump actually is.
