But this was a different perspective!!! To me, the brother -- and especially the terrifying sister -- were the most surprising bits.

    • @condorX2
      @condorX2 2 года назад

      Same here. I learned a few things.
      When i saw the news by those so call western medias, it only show the killing part. They never mention about the CIA regime change part.
      If you think about it, the CIA was responsible for Kim half brother death.
      I got curious and look up famous operations by the CIA. It seem they're well known for putting ruthless dictators on the throne.
      The most infamous episodes include the ousting of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 - whose government was replaced by an authoritarian monarchy favorable to Washington - the removal and assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba in 1961, and the violent toppling of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende, whose government was swept aside in 1973 by a military coup led by the ruthless Gen. Augusto Pinochet. (American dad made a episode on this one with the dancing dictator?)
      CIA involvement in coup 1965 is one great example on how the west took sides by supplying weapons, made propaganda and indirectly killed more than 3 million innocent lives. Their strategy is based on "divide and conquer". This document was declassified by CIA because many activists around the globe condemn the war crimes of US and their allies. Not only that, CIA overthrew the legit president of indonesia and replaced it with a corrupt Suharto who supported the US. That's how US mining company 'freeport' got hold of indonesian biggest gold mine.
      In 1954, Washington unseated Guatemala's left-wing president, Jacobo Arbenz, who had had the temerity to challenge the vast control of the United Fruit Co., a U.S. corporation, with agrarian laws that would be fairer to Guatemalan farmers. The CIA went on to install and back a series of right-wing dictatorships that brutalized the impoverished nation for almost half a century.
      CIA always worked with NED. (National Endowment for Democracy). They always try to destabilize any country with different ideology. All started way back after the end of world war 2, the cold war started. US sees other ideology as dangerous and feel the need to bring democracy to all countries, so in other words, every US presidents starting from harry s truman are all involved. Believing democracy as a perfect system that all countries MUST adopt. This made US act aggressively and invade nations with different ideology, creating wars and chaos around the globe.

    • @221b-l3t
      @221b-l3t 5 дней назад +4

      It's actually pretty clever. So the cheeks are most sensible to VX, 25 times more so than the palms of your hands. So the same amount of VX on your cheeks will lead to 25 times higher blood concentration than absorbtion throough your palms. It's deadly in very small amounts so they can carry multiple fatal doses each on their hands and themselves be at relatively minor risk. And the first thing they did was dash to the bathroom and wash their hands extensively using cold water which absorbs VX much better than hot water and by using two first of all they had a higher chance of sucess and each was only carrying some multiples of a lethal dose, reducing the risk to the attackers.
      Had Nam known what was happening and immediately washed his face with water and gotten the correct medical care he would have been fine. It's extremely lethal but survivable with medical care. It's just that medical care would not be available if they dropped it on a city and by being so deadly a relatively small amount delivered by an number of means such as airburst artillery shells, can blanket a city and kill millions. Many people think nukes are the worst, I would argue chemical weapons are just as bad and biological weapons are way worse. The CIA could infect someone in Australia with a bio weapon and it could end up wiping out the US population.
      Of course North Korea made somewhat of a hobby out of making VX, as sort of an insurance against the very expensive and cumbersome nuclear program not working out. I think they have 5000 t of it and a few kg could wipe out a city, if you factor in most of it won't be effective if your just dropping it everywhere.
      Finally one of the women did begin to vomit shorty afterwards which is a symptomof very light expose and VX is not volatile which explains why the ER workers and medics did not get poisened. Like they said this was very old school cold war stuff.
