For all of those who think it is ideal if Muslim women are not financially dependent on men:
Would it be ideal if Muslim men were not sexually dependent on their women? For example, would it be ideal if men could purchase (at low cost) harems of docile life-like forever-young sex robots?
How would you respond to Muslim men who justified this by saying such robots are necessary to give men true independence, such that they are not forced to stay in relationships with women who are rude, jealous, controlling, manipulative, fat, old, or ugly?
How would you respond to Muslim men who said that Muslim women need to "step up their game" such that men choose to be with them instead of a robot that is more friendly, beautiful, young, and thin?
The cop out answer is to say sex robots are haram, but there are other conceivable halal alternatives that would do the same thing: flood men with cheap alternatives. Obviously, such alternatives would weaken and ultimately destroy marriage because it takes away the dependence that men have on women for sex.
But that is literally what giving women financial independence does; it makes them independent from men. And that's why no society or religion ever did give women that independence, except for our current dystopia.

Esp the section where he confronts Saudi ministers about Kshogii’s killing was so mind blowing. You could see they didn’t have the replies and couldn’t leave as he had so much respect.

They only showed him what they wanted him to see. I hardly call that access. The more he pressed the more elusive they were.
Tyler Potts he means that he had “remarkable access” by having the personal number of MBS and how the journalist also had access to many high ranking officials. This is in part because PBS and Frontline are well respected. But it’s also because Martin Smith, the journalist, is also highly respected. From your other comments under this video it seems that you enjoy being contradictory or playing devils advocate. Don’t be such a downer :)

one of the most detailed documentaries i have ever watched, one thing i am surprised about is the abundance of access the reporter had
just to prove that Saudi tries to prove their innocence to the crowd that already made up their mind. They've actually covered alot about Yemen and Saudi's influence in the region in another documentary known as Iran Vs Saudi Arabia.. This documentary i believe was particularly made in order to trail the murder of Jamal Khashoggi..
Frontline has done at least one documentary covering the Yemeni war. Do a Frontline search and you should be able to find what you’re looking for.
I think in addition to being a major point of interest, Khashoggi was also meant as a plot device to illustrate the documentary's central theme of MBS's rise to power and the controversial implications thereof. The War in Yemen is rolled into all that, but its totality is beyond the scope of this film. As the other commenters have mentioned, it gets the attention it deserves in other PBS documentaries in which it's the main subject.
Saudi is a different country. Not like ours. They have different culture, life, beliefs, laws. So as not to offend them, leave them to what they are, respect them and be aware....
Filipinos are workers there, their families are being fed with Saudi money. They just have to be careful not crossing the line...thanks God.

I watch a ton of Frontline videos/docs several times a day at the moment. Love Martin and Will Lyman and the unbelievable reporters!!! I literally soak myself in the subject I'm interested in. So recently I went from The Mayans on the Peter Kelly channel here on yt so good, to The Gilded Age read many books, then on to 9/11 and what did or didn't happen. Then all those docs on Zayn Abu Zubaydah they so lied about him, Manhunt How does the women of Alec Station get bonus' from a job well done at the Thailand Black Site called "Green".

Why do so many idiots find the first argument logical and compelling, while they find the second argument illogical and absurd? Aren't both arguments illogical and absurd?
