Sounds like a wounded child without love from his father, his mother gone and a child with low self esteem that became an adult. He needs deep Therapy and healing. Wounded boys often become dangerous men
@ you're really late. I was expecting this days ago. If Jesus hadn't risen from the dead then why would the witnesses who saw Him willingly die for their witness. No one would do that.
Great documentary! I've been watching alot of N. Korean documentaries lately, and learning alot. And this one was eye opening but straight to the point, and very informative!
This is a captivating video that delves deeply into the life of Kim Jong Il and how he was constructed as a "god-like" figure in North Korean culture. It not only provides detailed insights into the personality cult but also sheds light on the complexities of the dictatorship. A must-watch to better understand the region's history and politics.
Fact: Kim Jung Il killed his younger brother by drowning in pond. Later he killed his father Kim Il Sung by causing a heart attack by insulting words about him and he delays the medics to cure him. Reason why Kim Jung Il killed his father because his father recognize that he'd been lied him all the time that the economy of the country is goes well but in reality that he ruined the economy of his country. And when Kim Il Sung recognize this truth, he gets furious and argues with him and with the anger and betrayal of his own son, he gets a stroke and heart attack and died miserably.
I love the fact that Nat Geo is putting out a fascinating documentary about Kim Il Sung's legacy and people are triggered by "the son of god" in the title.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Power needs checks and balances. If they're are none, even the most well-meaning person will gradually slide into a dictator's mindset.
OK I believe some of the propaganda is exaggerated, but there's still a lot of truth to it. I very much feel very sorry for the North Korean people. And are living in a huge jail...
I think that this is not too dissimilar to "Extraordinary Rendition", except the targets are not suspected terrorists (although civilians are the majority of the targetted in both events).
No matter how many North Korean documentaries I watch, I always feel like the story is incomplete. I crave a more in-depth and comprehensive narrative.
This was a great special, but the amount of advertising they threw in here was terrible. Jeez guys, why do we have to break in with ads every few minutes? Couldn't we do this a different way?
Lol why is the spotlight at 4:56 not even on the lump? Did your editors not watch this before it was released? It must have been old footage that was already edited poorly
I think the upload of this particular episode just after the toppling the regime in Syria has historical parallels of how the father's dictatorship passed unto the son in comparison to Jong II and now Un who came into power just nine months after the Syrian Civil War began March 2011. Both have used their controlling propaganda perhaps much more effectively than President Assad did to maintain a status quo which hasn't resulted in civil war due to an overthrow movement despite many defectors. Per this period I think they narrowly avoided conflict without retaliation despite trying to kill President Park (omitted from documentary is how he was then assassinated by his own CIA director in 1979) and especially orchestrating the death of 115 people on Flight 858. With the finale centered on the Supreme Leader and President Trump's summit, I presume analytical observers will wonder if a similar outreach attempt will occur during the 2nd term. With impeachment averted after a failed martial law attempt, I believe President Yoon unlike Moon will probably not meet with Un amid paranoia of destabilization fears but if he resigns as Prime Minister Han is trying to arrange, I believe then Han might do so as the successor or the next President might if Trump asks.
