Hi great vid but wouldn't bet on there being a excel show next year and if government get there way in UK a compulsory resit test at 65 might just see the beginning of the end of bikes in uk with the massive fail rate of new riders already

    • @thatbikersimon
      @thatbikersimon  3 месяца назад

I do thinks the future of bikes is doomed in the uk. If you look at the demographics the people with most money to spend is the over 65s, and the younger generation are floating about on electric scooters, so they will never buy a motorbike. After speaking to a guy at the London show he was saying you can’t get insurance on some bikes because of theft, which is also a massive problem in the uk and if you do a re test then a lot won’t help the situation.

The same way a car driver buys a 500 thousand - 1 million dollar car that's capable of racing on the track, people buy these ADV bikes not necessarily for what they will do, but what they can do. Remember the the sportbike craze? How many of those sportbike riders with the low handlebars actually took their bikes to the track? They bought those bikes for looks and what the bike was capable of doing. After a couple of hours of riding, you had to pull over and get off just to get blood circulation back in your wrists and bum. 19:03

Jaisi...Affordable bikes from Royal Enfield India..I just wish I wasn't so poor that I could actually afford one..all I can afford is very second hand ex Pizza shop rejects Honda ANF125 Innovas..wow..tatty old 2010 rusty runabout..but is has Fuel Injection..I can't complain at owning a bike that's technically advanced beyond a carburettor..125MPG/29MPL and almost 10 Brake HorsePower..but I'd love 350 Meteor or a 350 Classic..except for the oversize exhausts when I stood next to them..

Hello mate; I am here since the other shows you posted before. I mentioned that you look a like a guy from a band,,,anyway; Yamaha for sure sharpened the pencil of their designers, looks pretty better than previous years. No one of those models here BMW new line looks enhanced too. KTM always cool and powerful. HD too big but nice. Triumph always fine. Strange about Honda. What about MV Agusta; Husqvarna? I have a Triumph thruxton r. Thank you

Hi, yes I remember you. Honda & Ducati where no shows. MV had a couple of bikes but I ran out of time over the day. I know there’s a lot of disappointment with this show some general feelings, but it did feel like a nice vibe and always better to leave the house for the day and experience it for yourselves. But yea I agree with you. Triumph seem to be very popular across the board with there bikes, such a diversity and cater for all.

    O went there Saturday
    Wont go again
    Horrible rip off food
All the sellers were selling 3 year old gear ,dont buy a painting from the motorsport art stand
Went 2 years ago still waiting for it to be delivered
We confronted the bloke a dark hair cockney with glasses ,on no it weren't me
    It was anover geezer.
Not many will go back next year .
Although Charlie & Henry were awsome

That’s a reall shame. I didn’t have any food so I can’t comment and that’s not good about the painting guy. I guess for stands selling clothing it’s hard to compete with the internet and pay for a stall. It was really busy on Sunday and I felt a good vibe but you’ve obviously had a different experience to me. Thanks for the comment it will help others be awake of issues. 👍

Drugs are bad m'kay. Whatever these manufacturers are smoking cannot be good for humanity. As for the prices, Cf moto well done , Enfield ,,, the classic maybe ..Triumph the thruxton , but not at that price Good luck bike industry you will need it

The amount of electronic on the bike doesn’t help the price. A lot of bikes
Are putting electronic suspension on as standard which bumps the price up, which I don’t think it necessary. Back to basics.

But in some ways that’s unique to them. I guess you either like them or not. I’ve never riden one but thier suppose to be really different to any other bike. My next video is showing a more close up look. I like the v4cr 👍🏍️💨💨💨

@@thatbikersimon yes you are right, definitely unique, bit of a blast from the past, but the modern design is far more severe design. The shorter leg it would suit. I do prefer the more modern warp round design, especially when cornering 🫣😂👍

@@thatbikersimon That’s incredibly expensive for an extremely disappointing exhibition, you were robbed, go to Milan with “Mr GrumpyAir’ and have a lovely long weekend. I haven’t visited Excel or NEC for years, everything about the London show seems to be tacky and about extracting as much cash as possible from the visitors, the charge per square foot for exhibitors is probably eye watering. I’ll stick with the continental bike exhibitions and have a pleasant holiday at the same time. I’m able to drive to Cologne in 8-9 hours from home and an entry fee of 5€ for OAP. Can you imagine either NEC or London show charging £4.25 for OAPs? The food at the Milan show is superior to anything at Excel and NEC, not bad at Cologne either, can’t compare value for money as I haven’t visited U.K. shows for years, not even free tickets would entice me to attend the London show. The BMW bike festival in Garmisch partenkirchen is exceptionally good value if BMWs tickle your fancy, other brand festivals are available.
