Last year I traded my 1200s Multi for a BMW K1600 GT for more really long rides (I live in the US, home of the 1000 mile day) but this new RS has me thinking that another Multi could well be in my future. I do love the big K bike but gosh it is heavy and closing in on 70 that becomes more of a consideration. Congrats on the new bike, beautiful
It’s sounds like you’ve already made your own decision. Yes the bike you have has ticked most of the boxes ✔️ but if you can afford a RS multi then why not? Its been created for crazy comfort rider. Its going to be garbage on fuel ⛽️ but its has the thrill factor of winning the lotto. If I could I would 🏍️💨💨💨
I have both. K1600 and V4S. Totally different machines. K16 is inline 6 beast! Super smooth and refined. Imo the best motorcycle ever made. V4S is like a bat out of hell fast but not as refined as k16. K16 is 💯 better for the highways or long road trips.
I have the PP and am trying to NOT rationalize going to the RS next year. My thought was the lower torque at a higher RPM of the RS would NOT help the in-gear roll-on acceleration when actually touring with wife, as I use the PP for--until I off-load her and then want all the rush. But everybody reports the RS feels very alive even at low RPM. I did de-restrict my PP ECU (OFT tuning) and that made a massive difference in feel, engine response, in-gear pull. SO an in-gear drag race at some point would be helpful! :)
It sounds like what you’ve actually got is everything you’ll ever need. The issue is the with the RS it kinda built for a track but not. It’s going to be a fun revy engine for single person riding, but I have yet still to ride this bike so il definitely bring you my personal opinion and a drag race might be a interesting idea 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
If it helps, the RS can have a centre stand with the upgraded exhaust. It comes as part of the touring pack as fitted to mine but available separately. All the Multistradas are superb bikes so pick what suits best. Happy biking!
I don’t think there is a issue but after the first service, we can find out and so any of the questions on here will be answered in the follow up video
I just put Road 6 tires on my Pikes Peak and it changed the bike for the better! MUCH smoother ride over the Corsa's and that translates into faster riding in the canyons.
I have a Streetfighter V4s 2021. How does the RS compare in terms of performance and feel. The SF is "explosive" and wondering if you have the same sensation on the RS?
I’ve not riden it yet but my buddy says it’s got the same feel. Il be making another video and giving my personal opinion on it. I also had a streetfighter v4s so I know what you mean. Thr RS has just had its first service yesterday so it’s ready to be Unleashed. New video coming soon 🔜 👍🏍️💨💨💨💨
I would appreciate your feedback. How would you rate the comfort for the rider and passenger on longer trips? To be precise, we take 1 to 2 trips to neighbouring countries per year, with each trip not exceeding 2500 to 3000 km. This means the majority of rides will be on country roads with occasional highway travel. I ask because the RS seems much more "sexy" to me, but when I consider it from a usability standpoint, the Pikes Peak variant seems better. I should also mention that most reviewers agree that it’s truly a bike for everything without the need for significant compromises. I would appreciate your feedback.
If it was me I would buy a piikes peak it’s still got the sporty feel and much more of a versatile bike for you and pillion. The biggest thing that lets it down on the RS is not having the ability to put a top box on for the pillion to rest on. The fuel range isn’t going to be the best on the RS if you ride it hard. If you going to hit any trails/broken roads then the V4S is a better choice
@@thatbikersimonThank you for your feedback. I went on a test ride on the Pikes Peak and I must say, my pillion felt a lot more comfortable on it compared to half an hour earlier on the V4 Rally. The Pikes Peak suited me as well, but considering that the price difference is "only" €6,000, I would go for the RS. I agree that the top box might be an issue, but the number of extremely long rides will be minimal. As for fuel consumption, it should be very similar; I expect the difference to be around 0.5-1 litre/100km.
37k! Fair play to him but Ducati have gone mad. It may do the job of the naked V4 and multi rolled into one but including almost the entire price of both is super Ducati lol, 10k or more than the M1000xr is an interesting decision, time will tell if it's £10k more bike i guess. Thanks for the tea time entertainment 👍
Thanks for the comment, it is bonkers on the price, it’s a numbered bike and Ducati can charge what they like. I’m hoping il get a little ride once it’s ran in, as we both did own Streetfighters v4s so it would be interesting to feel the difference. It’s a bike that’s out of my budget for sure 👍
I have an RS as well. I think I booger it up by putting the crash bars on it. I do have the center stand. Also no exhaust Yet. I might do a track day next Sunday though. Time permitting
@@escapeorion3741 the crash bar can easily come off, I move removed my for a track day on the MSV4S it would be interesting so see how you get on with it?
$40k usd. You kidding? 100% NOT worth it. Keeping my V4S multi. Bought it used for $19k. With only 2k miles. People who buy RS just want to say they have RS. That man will NEVER use that bike to full potential on street OR track. And they will depreciate sharply. My bet is Used RS models will Be $25k in 1 year used.
@@thatbikersimon obviously they are rich. But. It’s just not worth it imo. I’d buy RS if it was like 100hp ( or something substantial ) more then V4S but it only has 10hp more. 10hp for double the price lol.
@@E39M5SPEED I understand what your saying but if I had the money would I buy one? no but having owned a streetfighter v4s I know how exciting that engine is and for the owner that has money it’s a perfect bike for him. The bhp isn’t always the decider it’s the way it delivers it. I will still Stick with the multi v4s for the purpose its was originally designed for. 👍
Yep, I'll stick with my used 1260 Pikes Peak that cost me £14k and has just done a 9,000 mile USA road trip and not missed a beat. The way motorcycle prices keep rising is a joke. I bought a new RSV Factory in 2008 for £8,995. In 15 years they're now 3+ times as much! @@thatbikersimon

I am thinking of selling my MSV4s & DCT goldwing and buy MS RS & RT1250 for long distance traveling . Do you recommend?

I use a Combo of different cameras on the ride which clip was you referring to?
What about vibrations in the steers, seat and feets?

Good to know! I did wonder if it would make a difference on the smaller wheels 👍
What was Andrew's occupation? And its a lovely bike with tasteful additions. There's no pockets in shrouds. 🙂
He’s retired. He was a IT guy for many years.
Помимо двухстороннего маятника подвески заднего колёса Я бы установил карбоновые накладки с воздухоотводами на открытые участки двигателя. 🤔

I was wondering aswell, is this bike bigger then the bmw gs1250 ?
As in seat height? Or performance?
I am tempted to trade my 21 V4s for MS RS ( keep it for sport fun days and buy the 1250RT for long distance)
