I woke up out of the blue August 15,2012 and couldn’t move my head around. I thought I just slept weird on my neck. Had a herniated C 6/7 disc and a bone spur lying on the nerve. Had surgery in November 30th,2012. Fixed the disc problem then a few months later was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have tried everything. Pt,exercise, diet, you name it I have done it. I have been in nonstop chronic widespread pain and back going on 13 years. Before my neck issue I was in great shape, have exercised and ate well. I have exercised since a teenager. I am 59 years old now and posting this on 11-17-2024. Now I feel 85-90 and can barely do the simple things. All Dr’s are baffled and have not seen anything like it. Exercising makes it worse not better. I used to be very active and loved doing physical work outside and cleaned houses for those who couldn’t. I’m on a few meds just to knock the pain down a notch. No it’s not a cure. So frustrating beyond words. I wear a brace that’s a Godsend.

I also believe that there are spiritual reasons for pain in the body. It makes sense to me that back pain is the result of feeling stress due to too much responsibility and/or 'carrying' guilt or burdens.

Absolutely! the Mind Body and Spirit are all interconnected. There is a whole body of scientific literature that shows stress being correlated with pain. thanks for sharing that
