Brother John, that's a awesome knife you got there 👍 I really like everything about it for sure!!! Thanks for sharing and CONGRATULATIONS ON 100 SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!! Keep digging brother!!!
I love this one. It's one of my faves. Matter of fact, I'm thinking about picking up a 2nd one to have for a backup. Beautiful bone & jigging. Really enjoying your channel. Keep it up buddy 👍
It is a good one! I miss it a little bit having trading it up but they’re out there for the picking again. Thanks for watching the channel! Appreciate it 🙏🏼
Eureka Jack is one of GEC's best. Slightly under-appreciated, in my opinion. I have it in Calico Jigged Bone (Tidioute) and in Goldenrod Camel Bone (Northfield). That coping blade is surprisingly useful for a small secondary. A feature you didn't mention is how the secondary backspring curves around to fill the unused part of the bladewell, an unusual detail and one I wish GEC did more often. I find Tidioute every bit as high-end as Northfield - a mirror polished blade and a straight pull and pinched/lined bolsters don't make a better knife, they just make one with fancier details (some might even say less tasteful) - hence the Tidioute versions are often the more difficult to find and more expensive on the secondary market.
I agree with you 100% it is a sleep pattern that doesn’t get the spotlight much which is a shame as it’s a good one. I didn’t mention that about the secondary backspring your right, thanks for the heads up. But yeah I’ve seen this with a few patterns where the tidioute made knife (branded) is every bit as good as the north field versions. I’ve mentioned it many times but the 35 cattle knife is done exceptionally well and is “only” a tidioute brand. Thanks for the comment David I enjoyed reading it. ✊🏼
Great looking knife. Very nice scales. Very useful blade configuration. Thank you very much for sharing brother
