Wouldn't say embarrass, but it would be up there as an option if deciding between those cars. The updated chassis of the MK 8 GTI is apparently really good. Also the 2.0L EA888 in the Golf is a tried and tested engine with a lot of tuning potential. It has also comes standard with a really good LSD since the MK 7.5 version. I wish the Sedan N got the forged wheels and pireli tyres.
This is fast for a FWD car
Such a beautiful car, yet the top of the range still has non-led turn signals and reverse, I would have through that would have been added by now, especially as this is the ‘premium’ front lights look ugly in my opinion too
Best launch control of any front wheel drive car.
Whats with the insane Australian car prices? Have you mates gone crazy there?
Our wages are much higher and our dollar is worth about 70% of US
god dayum melted honda badged cars are faster than the real hondas now
Impressive
Mini suks im ready for an upgrade, booking this for sho👍
Okay this is going to embarrass the VW Golf GTi
As well as the BMW 128ti
But I'm more excited about the upcoming Hyundai Kona N, although its still the same under the shell.
So yeah, it's not going to embarrass the Golf GTI, but definately a respectable competitor. Haven't read up much on the BMW but I suspect it will be in a different price bracket so hard to make a direct comparison even though it's a FWD performance hatch.
@@kevildub This has LSD as well, usually the GTi gets the advantage from its DSG dual clutch quick shifting even when it makes less power but this dual clutch is rapid as well, not to mention a whole second difference to 100.
Although the chassis in the Golf is good, I'm sure the i30 N being developed in Nurburgring would still have an edge with it's better drivetrain. Clearly that guy is working his BMW M magic in this N division.
@@sizakelecomfortmtshweni9530 yes the LSD in the i30n is apparently really good. The fact that the eLSD aggressiveness can be changed with different driving modes is impressive too. I was just pointing out that the GTI also had a decent LSD. I've never driven the i30n tbh but they seem more track capable than the GTI. I've seen heaps at track days at Wakefield in NSW so it seems like they are built for it.
All is perfect!
Should I be spending 60k on this car or 2018/2019 Audi RS3 at 85k (0-100 @ 4.1sec). Has anyone driven RS3 before?
strange to see smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes.
Mi devo ricredere ! La Hiunday sia sulle piccole e medie sportive e la numero 1 , è non è + una seconda scelta ha una tedesca ( ho europea! 😭)
6:13 تسارع من السكون

Is it possible to deactivate those farthing sounds from the exhaust?
U can configure the N Mode
4:09 blue smoke 🤣
I want to see the 128ti
With a slight tune it can get 320 hp and 520 nm.
I just wish Hyundai designed it a bit better like the Kia Cerato GT as that is a nicer designed car, The interior on the i30 feels a generation behind and the exterior is a bit bland compared to its sister car, doesn't even have electric seat adjustments. Nice engine and performance tho. Not sure why people compare this to a Golf GTi, In my opinion this compares more to a GOLF R than a GTI. GTI is only slightly faster than an N-line i30 0-100
Sedan looks great.
No way a comparison to a R. That's insulting r owners.
Mk8 r 0-100 is 4.2- 4.4 secs. It would smash this i30n. R is awd.
It'll be $15-20,000 more expensive when is come out over the i30n as well.
Completely different car is a completely different category.
@@davothegreat9990 the output of the GTI is only 180kw, the output of this N is similar specs to the golf R. Thats why I would compare it to the closer related Golf R. Yes golf R is a much better car in every aspect but I think people think the GTI is faster than it actually is. The GTI is only a tad faster than a 1.6 N-Line.
The Gti and N are in the same segment (fwd hot hatch) and price wise the N is cheaper! They are direct rivals regardless of power (VW decided to price higher for less power) so why wouldn’t it be compared?
Does anyone know where is this street ?
It's a private road.
Not bad and certainly an improvement but still no match against a Golf R.
My Golf R will blow it away with 4.5 sec.
Well I'm impressed 🤷
Oh yeah!!👍🏾
