  • In this video I show y'all how make easy 30 minute air fryer baby back ribs. Cooking baby back ribs never got any easier. Save time and effort with this easy baby back ribs recipe. This air fryer rib recipe is so easy and the ribs come out tender and juicy as if you cooked them the traditional way. However, if you like your ribs fall-off-the-bone, this method will not give you that. I always like a bit of texture to my ribs so this method is perfect for the way I like to eat my ribs. Simply rub on an easy homemade rub or your favorite BBQ rub and throw them in the air fryer then finished off a a brush of your favorite and enjoy.
    Shopping List:
    2-3 lbs. baby back ribs
    For the rub: (or use your favorite rub)
    2-3 tbsp. smoked paprika
    1 tbsp. garlic powder
    1 tbsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. each kosher salt and course black pepper
    For the Sauce: (or use your favorite sauce
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup ketchup
    1 tbsp. cider vinegar
    1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. each of kosher salt and course black pepper
    Directions:
    Spray the air fryer crisper plater with cooking spray and pre heat air fryer at 375 for 3 minutes.
    Prepare the ribs:
    First remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by prying up a corner then pulling it off. Using a paper towel helps to hold onto the slippery membrane. Discard the membrane.
    Cut the rack into 3 even sections so that they will fit into the air fryer.
    Add the rub seasonings to a bowl and mix then apply to both sides of the ribs, rubbing in well.
    Although not necessary, I always found it best to apply the rub and refrigerate from 2 hours to overnight to allow the seasonings to penetrate the ribs. If you do this, take out about 30-45 minutes before air frying to come to room temp.
    Place the sections of ribs in the air fryer meat side down. Try to arrange as close to a single layer as possible. It's okay if they overlap a little.
    NOTE: DEPENDING ON HOW BIG YOUR AIR FRYER IS YOU MAY HAVE TO COOK IN BATCHES. IF SO, WRAP THE COOKED RIBS IN FOIL AND PLACE IN A 200 DEGREE OVEN TO KEEP WARM UNTIL FINISHED.
    Set to "air fry" at 375 for 15 minutes. Then flip and air fry for 10 more minutes. The internal temp should be 145-160.
    NOTE: ALL AIR FRYERS COOK DIFFERENTLY SO COOKING TIMES MAY VARY. JUST KEEP AN EYE ON YOURS
    While the ribs cook make your sauce:
    Add the sauce ingredients to a sauce pan over medium low heat. Stir and cook until the salt and sugar has completely dissolved.
    When the ribs are done, brush on the sauce on both sides and air fry a few more minutes at 400 degrees.
    When done, allow to rest 5-10 minute then serve.

      Yeah. That would work. One thing I do is just take a peek and see what they look like. I bumped up the heat during that last two minutes to somewhat caramelize the sauce. Prolly could have went a little longer but they were charring a little much on the edges. Thanks so much for watching.

    Tip Richard, & for subs/viewers. Those membranes can be stubborn, rip, tear, etc... you know the drill, i learned a trick from a bbq pitmaster yrs., ago. Room temp ribs, meat side down , & in appx. the center of the rack, work a spoon handle under the membrane between 2 bones( try not to tear membrane) . Do it on each side twinxt the same 2 bones, run your index finger in/under that membrane where the spoon handle loosened it, just lift up the rack, & gravity weight will cause both rack ends to bend downward, membrane will strip right off. Quick & easy, but the rib rack has to be at room temp not cold or the rib rack won't bend when lifted, & works everytime. I hope that helps someone.

    • @stevelogan5475
      @stevelogan5475 3 года назад

      @@RICHARDINTHEKITCHEN if you are talking about Kentucky Kernel seasoned flour, it is the only seasoned flour i use on chix, pork chops, etc... comes in a red/white checkered box, never seen it in a bag, but it is delicious, but don't use it for baking desserts cause it's not meant for that, & also makes a great roux for country/chix fried gravy, i love it. Wal mart's carries it as well as Kroger's grocery store, trust me , you will like it & not be disappointed my brother

    • @RICHARDINTHEKITCHEN
      @RICHARDINTHEKITCHEN  2 года назад +1

      Amazingly yes. But like I mention in the video, it won't give fall-off-the-bone ribs like when slow cooking them, but they are more like competition ribs which have a bit of texture. Thanks so much for watching.

  • @MrMcGillicuddy
    @MrMcGillicuddy Год назад

    they aren't tough? I usually cook baby backs on the grill at 225 F for 4 hours and then finish in the oven tightely wrapped. they come out good but I'd be interested in the 30 minutes ones. So they aren't tough at all? or is the texture different?

    Made your ribs today.
    We're good but not juicy.
    I notice your recipe cooks them to 190 to 195 internal where as on my package of ribs it's saying cook to 145° ?
    Who knows if less time makes them more juicy .

    • @RICHARDINTHEKITCHEN
      @RICHARDINTHEKITCHEN  5 месяцев назад +1

      Technically pork is safe to eat at 145, but for maximum tenderness and juiciness, it’s best at higher internal temps. Thanks for watching.

    Please remember to differentiate between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Only the USA uses Fahrenheit. If my air fryer was capable I would actually have been cooking at 707° F with a nasty outcome.

    Flipping is not necessary when using an air fryer that is just old cooking habits creeping in. Try it without the flipping and see!
