  • Hello everyone, in this video I will show you how to disassemble a 2jz engine and get it ready for your build or machining process, I am super exited to announce that RUNBC is my newest sponsor for this build and that with their performance parts for the 2jz platform I am going to be able to take this build to the next level. this means lots of boost, crazy 2jz sounds and ultimate engine reliability. check out their webpage for the many performance parts they make for various engine platforms, I have been using BC components in many of the builds and had amazing results over the years.

    I would have thought heating the crank bolt would make it larger inside the crank and less likely to come loose. Same reason you put solid subframe bushings in the freezer and in a new Cleetus video they heat the loose balancer (only) in the same way you do the bolt in this video, then tap it on really quick before it shrink fits from cold/cooling. I know opinions are like ring holes but just not sure if im missing something. Maybe if you believe you could get sufficient heat into the crank but i'd think the balancer would melt its bushing long before that occurred. Would love some constructive conversation on this one.

    I'm guessing the 9:1 compression ratio will allow you to retain a descent amount of compression/resistance for low-end torque while minimizing resistance to the forced air entering each combustion
    chamber. I have the same block sitting in my backyard and been wanting to do what you're doing forever. 😂 feeling inspired

    • @ALBERTOBIGBOOST
      @ALBERTOBIGBOOST  4 года назад +1

      Grandma3stro I am doing 9:1 to retain ability of making over 500whp on pump gas if not able to run E85 all the time. 10:0.1 would be ideal for max low end power and response but would requiere to run e85 or racegas all the time

    Curious why you switched from M52 to 2JZ? i follow all your BMW M52 videos, i have an E39 and and building the motor very similar.. But my logic was i always comfortable with the M52B28 Block being it is very similar to the 2JZ.. LMK what conclusion you came to as to why you switched, Obviously not the same as mine.. im assuming the Vanos was an Issue, and adjustable cam gears are fire.. And then if you could.. make any Videos on m52 Boosted engine management.. i have not seen one yet, unless you down graded to an OBD1 system i thought i seen once..

    For rookie engine people like me.... how do you remember where every single bolt goes to when you put it back together? I feel like if it was me... everything would be in ziploc bags and labels and I would have to take hundreds of photos with my phone just to remember where everything goes. How do you experienced builders do it?
