Those Cornets are really just as nice looking as the chargers and road runners. They need more glory.
I saw a clean blue on on the highway yesterday they are eye catchers for sure
Always likes the road runners vs the chargers and the cudas vs the challengers
I used to ride around listening to ACDC every morning before school in one of these in blue
Bring on the Mopars! They designed and built some of the greatest muscle cars of the 60’s & 70’s. Can ya tell I’m a fan?
So exuberant!!
I'd take that as an alternative to the Charger. It resembles a Road Runner, but meaner.
The Chrysler B- body platform was used on the Belvedere, Satellite, Road Runner, Charger, and Coronet. Same chassis, and suspension throughout, so they're basically all the same size and similar weight. Probably one of the finest chassis runs in muscle car history.
Everybody's saying 'sweet' so I'll just say it's darn pretty. I'm such a rebel going against the grain huh.
Lemme get a yell
68s best tail lights ever
That's one of the many reasons I got my 68 RT
My Parents family car was a '68 Coronet '500' 383, been in love with them since.
Absolutely beautiful Coronet Mopar baby♥️👍👍👍👍😁
Mentioning custom wheels and tires brings back some memories. I worked at Super Shops from 85 to 90 over in Hermitage. Jim jr. used to come over with different cars and we would test fit tires and wheel combinations until he found something he liked. He was a good customer and a pleasure to do business with.
Thats awesome
Oh man! I miss Super Shops! Had a few here in, yes, California! In my muscle car days, in the 80's and 90's, it was THE go to place...!
Great Looking 1968 Dodge Cornet
Wow!!! What a sweet Coronet, love the roar of the 383 and the map light works, and the horn works, and I love the color !!
Thank you very much!
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate hey bud, where do you purchase these cars from?
Wonder why they put a downgraded motor in it? Still not bad though.
Great restoration project for someone with deep pockets.
✌🇨🇦
That's one peppy Dodge I like that sounds good and I like the way it chirps the tires when it shifts gears.
nice representation of the car. super view is a very cool feature!
I had a 68 Dodge Super Bee in high school. What a great and fast car!
Shame this car wasnt prepped and painted by someone who knew what they were doing be a beautiful car
It would also be another $30K in price.
Doesn't justify half of the 30k....! The motor swap is the first red flag. Some of the gauges not working, and missing/disconnected switches, are another... Billy Bob's Backyard Auto Body, doesn't help either! But, it sounds nice!!!
@@harrykoyl3784 what's your concern about the motor swap? Aren't the other electrical and gauge issues easy fixes? What would you value it at then?
@@nwesterbeckmaster Mopar fan boys have this nack for wanting anything of value to be 100% original numbers matching yada yada. Worried about needing to fabricate pieces left off when the engine was out and such. Clearly not worth as much as a real “survivor” but still a nice car
Greetings from Ireland, love those old American cars. Great video's driving all the different cars, happy New year.
Got to love them Mopars 🔥💯
Its an original A/C car as well
Cool ride,I rode with a friend in high-school who had a 69 Road Runner 383 and it ran side by side to a SS396 old chev would win about 18" . Sure reminds me of the Roadrunner Beep Beep,Thanks for the ride, she won't last long on getting a new home!! Wow that's the first time I've saw your wheel selection!!! Got to get up there and look around "!!
I miss Hendersonville and seeing the cool cars that you had on your lot.
SWEET RIDE
I should have waited a few more months 😪
What a gorgeous car!
That’s a sweet ride! Love the sound.
Wow! Love it Nick! 😀👍
Thanks! 😀
I just started watching this and had to pause for the cause! YES! I'm smiling!! I do every time I hear that 2nd gear chirp!
🏁 🚗✨💨~chirp! 😁
This one does it very well
I had a 68 Charger in highschool with a 383/727 combo....it had a shift kit in it as well and chirped 2nd gear. Everyone at my School thought it was so fast but it was mostly a sled...but it sounded fast..haha
Old school American muscle cars rock ❤️ love the colour, sure is a gorgeous ride. 👍 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🙏
Holy schnikes the horn works!
Nice rides lov all those cars trucks nick grt job like ur music keep it up enjoy the holidays u and family go Bills
Beautiful Coronet!
My God, what a nice ride Nick!! Even like the 'old school' placement of the tach!!! Best friend's family had one when I was growing up! Great memories!! 383 replacement is actually a slightly more reliable block than the original 440, so not bad!! One of my favorites.... Oh, if only I had the cash. Serious contender. Will sell fast!!! 👍😎Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 everyone!
I still don't understand why someone would take out the 440 and put in a 383. Any ideas? Seems like it's taking away from the performance
@@nwesterbeckmaster Definitely a takeaway from a performance aspect!! Personally, I love the 440.... Probably took it out, especially since Coronets don't bring as much dollar as a Road Runner of the same vintage.... OR, it just got trashed and finding 383's are much easier to find!!! Lol!!! Still, it is a nice ride though!! 👍😎
Color is incredible 😍✨
That should sell quick.
Too bad 440 is gone.
That would add 8 to 10k to price..
Beautiful 🚗🚗🚗 had a 1972 coranet loved it best car ever
This is a awesome ride.
The taillights look sweet!!!!
Awesome ride.
Sick!! 🤘🤘
Love this car
Dodge Coronet/Super Bee with the 383 .Amazing car hands down .
My favorite Mopar!
Even not matching that seems pretty fair. Nice car.
Another Gem
Nick and family..... love u and anything 2help
Had a Dark Green Coronet RT and loved it! I miss that one more than the 70 Dodge Charger RT I had. 6 Pack car with an incorrect but healthy 440 Single Carb.
Thats a Dope as car, & it was hella dope how you drove through the shop like that, Nice touch 💯
Nasty. True beauty.
Awesome car awesome sound! Something about those RT badges just don’t look right. They look like the ones on my 13 RT Challenger.
MOPAR!!😎🤘🏼
Great car 🤟 glad nothing happended to you and your 👪 family from tom 🤟 🤟
That's why its $30k & not 60k....That whatch ya might call it, at the left headlamp area on the L/F fender....tells a big story....I don't discredit Nick & his cars, they are representative of the $$$ he's asking...I really enjoy his vids.....
Are you talking about the rust behind the bumper on the driver side? How bad do you think it is?
Yes! Horn.
That's a nice cornet and runs damn good. Could use a little body work and a fresh paint job but well worth what your asking for it!
Was there a scat pack decal on the rear passenger side window???
I like the car but scared of what the bondo covered up.
Sweet car
Wow that is a nice coronet. Sounds like it runs great. Love the tire chirping with the shift kit. Sounds good, looks good, and love the cam . Looks like a edlebrock intake. Holley carb ? Or edlebrock ( carter). 727 transmission. Love the thigh ing hearing the cam lift. Well worth $30k with just needing headliner and maybe a seat or two reupholstered. Sweet
Rims are spectacular 👌
31000? Seems overpriced to me. Especially with all the imperfections
Ron Turnis might want to price 1 that way you see what's out there.
right we do it daily and can't find anything. Thanks
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate exactly what I mean. Just my polite way of saying "wtf mean dude go find one!!! Especially in that condition"
I agree but at the same time if it didn't have any of these imperfections it would be at least twice as much, probably more. Upwards of a 100k if it was 100% correct and mint. Maybe even more. But what they advertise and what they take for it might be different.
I don’t see a heater box does it have heat??
A good childhood friends older brother bought one of those new. He test drove everyone on the lot to find the fastest. Those 383's were like that. Luck of the draw.
@maplemotors dude get the cars on a lift to see the undercarriage. The drive by with a light is ok but not very useful. The car is a beauty 😍
If only we had one here , I got one at my house but thats 20 mins away from work.
Is the frame rail damaged or rusted out? I noticed a piece of metal bolted to the drivers side
Nice car Nick, I wish it had a manual transmission. I will say that as you walked around the car though I really just think back to the days when cars were styled so well. These cars were everywhere in the early 70s with 318 V-8s and could be had for $850 in decent shape but this one is sure sweet!
Wow man, what a sweet ride almost makes me want to trade in my Challenger RT Scat Pack.
Yeah, this ones cool but I don't think I'd ever make that trade........ Yeah, yeah I probably would actually. :D
That 383 yelling!
I Drive This Car on CSR Classic App Game
I have a 68 dodge charger, 440 6 pack
Mopar or No Car Nick
Thats a beauty Nick. I wish , i wish, i wish
Good looking car overall. Were you shifting manually because the transmission was not performing on its own?
You have to, they put a reverse manual valve body in this car. Thanks
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Got it but don't understand. All my old cars are 4-speeds. Love your videos.
What I have noticed many of the cars that pass through on this sits are missing their seatbelts. This 1968 is missing the lap belts and the shoulder belts. Why would someone deliberately remove the seat belts. Is this R/T worth 30 grand, a closer look would determine that. It would clearly be a good entry for a start of a driveable project.
There weren't shoulder belts in 68
@@kqq4970
FACT: In 1968 - Seat Belts Become Nationally Mandated.
FACT: The first federal law mandating all new cars be equipped with both lap and shoulder belts in the front seat is introduced. The three-point seat belt had been around for nearly a decade, the law did not specify the need for any particular design. As a result, many automakers installed separate lap and shoulder belts.
Society of Automotive Engineers study at UCLA leads to calls for two-point seat belts, lap and shoulder.
U.S. manufacturers provide lap belts at rear outboard positions,
NHSB issues initial Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 208, 209, setting standards for lap and shoulder belts in front outboard positions, lap belts in all other positions (to take effect 1/1/68 and 3/67, respectively). The bottom line is many of the older vehicles that go through used car lots, have had headlines replaced. For whatever reason that person did not reinstall the shoulder harness or a previous owner took them out for no good reason. In some cases even the lap belts were removed. The vehicle in question in this case is a 1968 Dodge which was produced with lap and shoulder belts. Don't take my word for it, the information is available if you are inclined to look. Respectfully.
Great looking R/T but, it looks like whoever painted it took the doors off and laid them flat to paint them.
LoVe IT:)
👍
If the car is in drive and the vehicle is stopped fully and you have it in drive and it's not fully stopped drive or reverse you can damage the transmission and suspension and drive shaft bro so I'm just letting you know about it bro.
Nice solid coronet r/t. I had a 68' coronet 2dr when I was 16 back in the 90s. Only gave 1500.00 for it. It just had a 318 but it was a good car.
Sounds good but car has lots of bondo in it
Nice car for 20 grand no more.
M O P A R. ALL YOU REALLY HAVE TO SAY!!!😙
A test drive with the correct tire type would be much better.
what's the correct tire type?
This is my ultimate dream car, would take this over any car
I'm a Mopar man love this car!
I Like but I can't afford!!! 👍😎
I'll cash my husband in 4 this! 🤣😂She is so pretty!💖💖💖💖 love ur videos NICK!👍👍
Yeah but unless he's a real looker, you might be hard pressed to find the right gal with one to take you up on the trade! :D
I'd get a ticket within the hour in that thing. Sweet ride.
Great design. Not digging the blackout hood paint.
👀...👍🔥😍🔥👍
You silly boy bro 😂
Would you take a trade-in on this car Nick ?
Yes
that dont seem stock lol sounds and runs nice
Mopar Power!
383 can be bored to 426, and a beast. Short stroke 1/4 eater
Needs a cam
For 32k they should at least fix the wipers .
You silly boy bro 🤣
Would you be interested in trading for a 68 satellite convertible
I've never been a Mopar man but that's a nice ride for the price 👌
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHAT ONE OF YOU CARS WILL COST???
40 years experience helps , thanks
Silly boy bro 😹
It's a shame to take a car like that n not do a professional paint job n body work. It is a great car otherwise!
10 million Dollars and it's all yours....
