    Thank you for this great video. I ended up going with the Manfrotto kit. Amazing system to couple with small sliders and dolly, exactly what I needed!

    my manfrotto fluid tech foot is really loose. compared to my older manfrotto monopod. any ideas how to tighten it up? those 3 screws around the side dont seem to do jack squat.

    I have a Manfrotto MPMXPROA4US monopod and Manfrotto FLUIDTECH base. Amazon says the monopod was compatible to the base. But, I can't connect the two. Looks like the foot tip on the monopod doesn't have the same shape as the base and as your monopod in the video. Am I missing an adaptor? Is the monopod not really compatible and do I need to return it?

    Is the MVMXPROBASE leg compatible with the Manfrotto 682B monopod? Thank you!

    I've got a Manfrotto 605B1. Is it possible to upgrade just the foot or need to buy into the new system? Also, does it look like it is any better sealed at the ball joint? I shoot a lot outdoors in the dirt and it would often get dirty and create jumpy pans. Would have to occasionally open up the ball joint and clean it out.

      I don't think the new foot works on the older systems. But I will try to show a close up of how it mounts, and you can decide if it might work.

    PLEASE HELP - How in the hell do you remove the base section from the monopod? Nothing seems to work!

    I had the original Manfrotto video monopod, and found it a bit too tall.
    I was looking for other news monopods in the store. I think I will get the xpro short monopod. goes pretty low and go up to eye level too.
    I am somewhat disappointed that there is no way to adjust the strength of the drag. I find the manfrotto one a bit too light. I did not know the Sirui has a drag control. But my main issue was to get low, so I will go with Manfrotto.

    Is the Manfrotto more likely to Fall over because of the smaller feet? I would love to have the Manfrotto Monopod with the sirui feet

    Hey Mr Cheesycam!
    How are you?
    I was wondering, if the extra weight of the base and the fluid head worth the fluidity it brings?
    I mean, obviously you like the monopod when they are equiped with such tools, but for my experience i always feel that the base and the head were overated and so heavy that they prohibit some movements you might wanna do.
    I just love this tool, monopod is a thing that does everything (cranish, tripodish, steadcamish, low mode, top shot, sliderish). it's not the best at this, of course but it's so great to have a tool that does a little bit of everything.
    Any how, when the monopod weight 3.5Kg/7Lbs, it starts to be very difficult to fully use it, dont you think?

      Everyone has a different style of shooting. I don't feel the same about having a head and foot on my monopods. I have quite a few of them too.

    My Xpro4 is wobbly when locked, really disappointed. I guess I got used to using my Manfrotto 561BHDV with the screws on the base tightened, the sticking point was firm. Anyone have recommendations for a firm sticking point?

    Hey CheesyCam, will any of those monopods support the Ursa Mini? I'm looking for something with a small footprint for run and gun shooting

      The Ursa Mini stripped down is pretty light. The kit I have MVMXPRO500 can be used with the Ursa Mini.

    Hi. MrCheesyCam, I'm more into photography than videography. My question is can, Manfrotto MVMXPROA4 aluminium 4 section fluid video monopod, FLUIDTECH base with Manfrotto XPRO Ball Head with 200PL Quick-Release System MHXPRO-BHQ2 be use for still photography ?

    I just got the same Manfrotto MVMXPROC5US monopod. But I’m having trouble detach the the base from the mono pod. The menu just said unscrew the ring which I did. But there was not possible unscrew it and pull the base off since the base can’t be secured without turning. Help?

    I know this videos pretty outdated but I'm looking for someones opinion as to which monopod and fluid head to go for based on my situation. So i'll be shooting weddings, possibly real estate, and side gigs. I'd like to have something I can travel with on vacation (eventually), and will perform well for commercial work. I'm only 5'6 so I guess more compact or shorter length may be more ideal.
    Watched both your monopod reviews and I know you stated the Manfrotto XPRO stands but does it hold up the camera like the Siriu? I've never had a tripod or monopod with that twist feature but I wouldn't think it's too bad. Anyways, based on your 2 reviews I was thinking Siriu for stand feature paired with a manfrotto fluid head(xpro, 500, or 502 can't decide). If anyone can suggest something it'd be much appreciated. Budget isn't too tight but obviously i'd like to save money if I could.

    Please, please, please review the new Sirui EP-204S or EP-224S with flip lock, and compare it to the Manfrotto. And which one will you choose Sirui or Manfrotto?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  7 лет назад

      The Sirui EP-204S and EP224S has flip locks, but a different style foot. I prefer this foot.

    • @VisiVisuals

      I've tried the flip locks on the sirui, but somehow it always hurts my finger when my hand grab and unlock it, but not on the manfrotto tripod flip locks..

    anyone know if the sirui foot base can be used on other monopods? Not a fan of the twist lock collar system and much prefer ifootage's telescopic system but their foot base is really small as well. was wondering if those two things could be paired together for a super sturdy run and gun style monopod

    At first glance it looks like the build quality on the Sirui edges out this one or no?

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  7 лет назад +1

      The Sirui has a lot more 'features'. Overall it is a heavier monopod, uses locking collars, and screw in lock for the foot. The Manfrotto has less features but is lighter and faster in many ways. So it's a different monopod depending on your needs. Sirui has excellent quality, but Manfrotto does too. They are just different in terms of what you can do with them.

      MrCheesyCam thank you , it not supports to let it stand with a big camera like 5d alone without holding it right ? I mean if i will use it as just stand and take a photo

    • @MrCheesyCam
      @MrCheesyCam  7 лет назад

      +Harmony These are not meant to operate as stands and I do not suggest doing so with such big dslr cameras on this monopod. Have you seen the Libec HFMP? It is more stable than this for standing, but it would still be your judgement about letting it stand alone.
