My only regret is that this wasn't settled for about 3 times this amount and that it didn't come out of the LEO's pension, or pay for the rest of their lives; for those that did this heinous act, laughed about it, delayed care and then tried to cover it up. Yet another reason we cannot and won't trust LE any more in our great country, anywhere.

@A Davis As a paramedic from Greeley for many years in the '70's and born/raised in CO, I'm so sorry. I thought CO did away with Qualified Immunity for govt' officials. I guess it doesn't matter that this isn't a direct violation of US code 42 Section 1983 civil right violation. instead, just plain cruelty and abuse of elderly. My heart goes out to all of you. I'd like to say I look forward to officer's trial date but, police unions are so powerful they will get off with likely and slap on the hands; then rotate out to another LE job and do it all over again.

Just looked at a video of police in Thailand of cops on a welfare check. Amazingly the spoke to each other of the woman’s mental health issues.
They calmed the woman down and took her to the hospital. All the while talking about, quote we have to be gentle with the lady as she has mental problems. This happened with a language barrier, yet the woman plight was their main concern. This video shows if you put it beside American cops way of dealing with people who need special attention and help. Highlights just how uneducated and lack the most basic of humanity American cops have. The same video showed a very drunk man, treated the same until he became violent, yet showed respect until he assaulted a cop. Pushed him down and handcuffed him, all without violence. Yet again shows what a real cops looks like and is. American cops a government sanctioned thugs.

When you look at both variations of these type of video.

I'm happy to tears to see this incident not get swept under the 'blue line' rug as is the rule, not the exception! I was furious while watching her being treated in an extremely inhumane and sadistic way! I could sense her almost child-like innocence during and after this horrific crime emphasized by the cavalier behavior of the sick cops that tortured her!
I'm so happy she can go forward with so many showing their empathy and love for her. She deserved it at the time and still does, it can never be too much! She's a sweetheart as were the females that stuck by her side, especially the very beautiful woman in red who had even more beauty and passion internally!!! There is no amount of money that could ever be sufficient to render justice, but I personally want to sincerely thank all of you who helped her not feel alone, but surrounded by love! I'm almost 80 years old and her experience brought me to both tears and a wave of ferocious anger! This news was one of the best gifts I've ever received!!!

@@Newmansdad True that walmart did let her go but they were the ones to call the cops. Plus, walmart has a history of calling the cops on their customer when they could have handled the situation on their own. There is a YT video of an Austin man getting arrested in a walmart that should have never happened. The loss prevention in other department stores don't call the cops first, they handle the situation and will only call the police as a last resort or arrest.
