My first real coaster. It actually took a few summers of going there before my dad convinced me to finally ride it. Became a coaster junkie for life after that. It wasn't the best coaster ever built, but it will definitely always have a place in my heart.

The last time I went to Opryland, I rode that thing 36 times. We were on a school trip, and luckily, not many people were there.

    Awesome!!
Really hope you guys got an onride of chaos. That's the one coaster that was fully enclosed in an 8 story building.

That first drop and the head bounce from side to side during the flips, Miss that places, especially the Demon, the rock roller coaster and the little deuce coupe ride because my dad would spin that thing til we were nearly sick,

Well, thanks! In 1990, when I was 14, my mom and I were standing in line waiting to get on this, but the longer we stood there, the more scared we got and we chickened out and left the line, lol! At least now I see what we missed.

When mom used to take us to Nashville, we would go to Opryland & then the Grand Ole Opry. Jeannie C. Riley was a friend of mom's so we always had great seats & we got to meet all the performers. Fun times. 🩷

This was named after the boxcar Willie song. My great grandfather (Oswald Kirby, Bashful Brother Oswald) and Roy Acuff sung the song too and he was one of the first people to ride it.
I loved to hear him tell the story growing up. They told them just to get in so they could take pictures of them in the cart (he hated rollercoasters) and after the picture they started the ride 😏😆.
He also helped break ground on Opryland, my mom spent her summers there while he practiced at the Opry, and I have so many fond memories there myself. It's really sad it went away.

The first adult coaster I ever road, I miss Opryland! Could you add a version without the music, I’d love to hear the sounds of the Wabash Cannonball itself.

It’s really a shame Opryland no longer exists. I was born 6 months after it closed forever, in 1998, so I obviously wasn’t alive to see it in its glory.
I really wish Six Flags or Cedar Fair could’ve bought the park and make it better than ever. It would’ve gotten a B&M Flyer or an Intamin Blitz coaster. There are many possibilities on what Opryland could’ve looked like as of today had it not been permanently shut down in the late 90’s.

That doesn’t look like the right coaster. It was bobsled style when I was there.
