As a fellow jersey collector, for 30+ years, I think this era we are in now is the best when it comes to style and color. Especially with honoring heritage with the reverse retro line-ups.
My favs are Capitals, Penguins and Flames. Least are Flyers and Kraken for me.
I'm a Kraken fan and love their home/away jerseys and for some reason I can't stand the Reverse Retro ones.
@@DBSG1976 well the whole point of the reverse retro is to bank on nostalgia, which is really hard to do for a team that's only 2 years old.
In my opinion, the red line on the main jerseys ties the logo and the jersey together. Without that element, the tiny bit of red on the logo clashes with the entire rest of the jersey and sticks out like a sore thumb.
That Krakens jersey is dope
I honestly like the addition of the fight strap. Makes hockey jerseys unique.
The Canucks reverse retro this season has grown on me in a huge way after seeing it in action. I absolutely love the deep blue.
The Stars reverse retro looks great with the green that starts at the collar and goes down the arms
I would love to see Chicago and Detroit play each other with those jerseys

As a Leafs fan I bought the reverse retro 2.0 and I was not planning on buying any other teams but when I saw the LA Kings, I had to have it. In my opinion the Kings reverse retro is #1 in my book.
Shannon holding up the stars jersey with the Christmas tree lights shiny through the material emulating stars is I’m sure unintentional…but that looked awesome

The polarization of the robo penguin is interesting. I think nothing tops the skating penguin though. Its one of the best logos in sports. It tells you everything about the team if you were looking at it for the first time!

Florida is the best, totally agree. Islander fish sticks is #2 in part because it reminds me of the giant fisherman head that was on the scoreboard that would blow smoke out of it's pipe when the Islanders scored a goal (also much of Long Island has great deep sea fishing).

didn't know flames were ever first! very nice though. That being said I agree those Florida jerseys are so sick.
Seattle’s feels half finished to me, with the lack of shoulder patches or anything. Would’ve loved to see the stars from the Ironmen jersey either on the upper chest or as a shoulder patch.
Love these. I am really happy with this series of Reverse Retros. There's not many that I love, but I like or at least appreciate all of them. Chicago's and Detroits' are at my bottom but I am happy to see them. I don't think we should see the Sharks' again for a while but I again I liked seeing them. Adidas did a wonderful job.
Do you think the NJ logo is like that because it makes a mountain looking triangle? For the Rockies sake.

I love the overall Canucks reverse retro uniform; the antique-looking dull gold on the gloves and helmet is awesome
I wonder if on the New Jersey RR if the horns are connected with the outline to form a triangle as an homage to the Rockies logo? Seems like the perfect time to do that, especially the first time being on a RR with the Rockies colors.

I didn't agree with a whole lot of your list, but having the Panthers at #1, I am 100% in agreement on. That jersey is absolutely gorgeous.
Also, I thought my Blue Jackets should have been at LEAST top 15.
Is there a legitimate reason as to why Canucks are avoiding the dark navy jersey that they had in 97-2007. I remember it to be their absolute best. The royal blue / green combo they're rocking right now is nowhere near as cool.

Flames one is nice, I picked it up, I actually liked the pedestal jerseys back in the day.
He didn't mention it but there's the seam that disconnects the pedestal from the rest of the jersey. I like it but that's a bummer

Vancouver has the best reverse retro jersey and no-one can argue against it

I got myself a few RR jerseys this year and I gotta say, I love the Kings jersey! I wish they went back to purple and gold.
I still like the purple and black better.

As a die hard NY Sports fan that watches hockey in the New York metro area, Tri-State Area NY/NJ Rangers, Islanders, Devils I do have all 3 Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys and all 3 look good in person I even got the beanie knit hats to match the Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys
Can we all just appreciate the fact that this guy dropped thousands of dollars on hockey jerseys just to make this video for us.
Either that or him and Bettman are in cahoots together and it's really THG's fault for all of Bettman's dumb decisions.

As much as I disliked the Flyers' 07 fake 3D logo, I can imagine it would have looked gorgeous with modern materials and an actual 3D stitch.
Literally preordered the bruins reverse retro Bergeron on October 20th and it has yet to ship

Ducks are wearing orange pants with their RR, and it makes me wonder if they won’t adopt them as their new road whites because the Kings trainer said their old gold pants were very difficult to keep looking clean.
I love the Flames jersey enough i wish it was their main jersey lol Panthers and the Devils were my other favorites from this round.
I think the original Reebok/CCM with the flag patch shoulders is the best jersey they ever made but I'm with you, I'd rather see this reverse retro as a main then the vintage ones they wear now. There is something about their black jerseys. Even the original Koho black blasty is still a mean looking jersey.
The blackhawks and wings really grew on me

I never realized that the Montreal Canadiens throwback had anything to do with the Expos. Don't know how I missed that, getting old I guess. Florida's as number one I almost agree, except I really liked the old jersey with the " Moncton Wildcats" logo, hahaha.
Chicago’s I liked more on ice but COME ON how could we not already get a C-tomahawk jersey as a main logo?

Anaheim just needs a plum colored jersey with the D foot logo and they'll have pretty much exhausted every option they can

I really want to get the krakens reverse retro if i can find it on sale. I'd like to see them bring back the totems jersey for a 3rd or metropolitans.
Colorado's jersey colors are also an homage to the Denver Spurs, who were in the Western Hockey League, and won the championship in the 1971-1972 season.

Got two jerseys for Christmas. The leafs reversible and the Pens Winter classic jersey.
I really want to pick up a few of those RR jerseys- need a Canucks, Panthers and Caps- those are top of my list!
That same Black and Gold is also used by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

As a Chicago Fan....Detroit's jersey is great if you get a Larkin one with the Captain's C IMO. Also love the Stars jersey.

Speaking of teams owning colors, I also felt it was wrong when Tampa switched to blue and white.For the same reason it would be wrong if an mlb team had white with black pinstripes.

My favorite retros are Boston,The Rangers and Florida.
I am not usually one to buy a new jersey right away, but I had to get a Stars RR. It looks awesome. I have serious bias, but it's way nicer than the kitschy Florida jersey.

100% disagree on the blues jersey being so low. It is top 10 for me and more likely around 7 at worst
I really love the design, but I do wish the yellow was a more muted shade. I am just not fond of dark yellow. I also don't care for red and orange, though, so I think it tends to put my jersey tastes in the minority.
Every time I look at that Panthers jersey, I like it more. I didn't think anyone could beat Arizona from last year but this is the best Reverse Retro jersey.

It's so funny to me. The detroit Jersey market is so absurdly saturated with these F tier Retros, that many places are selling them in place of the regular Jerseys. My mother for a few months has been trying to get a good regular Bertuzzi for my step-dad for Christmas, but everywhere she went, they ONLY had the retros. And they always had stock xD I wonder why.
Where are they in stock at? I want to get a Bertuzzi size 52 or 54 to go with my Larkin RR. Maybe even get a blank custom stitched with Husso’s name.
@@gonuts4donuts The RRs are anywhere you would normally go in person to get a Jersey. If you want to find a regular, online through Rally House or GameDay Detroit is sometimes cheaper than the main guys. I considered the RR but the black is just so wrong and to hear the announcers say "wearing black for the first time in their history" shows me just how unprecedented and unnecessary these were

Hey Shannon! I see you have a ton of the same hanger. I imagine you have a lot of experience trying out different kinds of hangers. Which do you prefer the most for your collection? I use these heavy duty plastic ones... they're much thicker than normal and they seem to be doing well but I don't know if way down the road if my jerseys will develop shoulder dimples from being hung on those. What do you recommend? Pittsburgh's is my favorite by far! I am actually a super fan of the robo pen and the yellow shoulders/sleeves are so vibrant. They look incredible on the ice. I bought like 5 of those and had hockey authentic sew up a bunch of different players LOL.
I was probably the only Los Angeles Comic Con attendee that wore the Kings Reverse Retro jersey Last Saturday, while another attendee wore that Florida Panthers Reverse Retro jersey. Good times, even when the Kings got outplayed by the Canes that night.
The Lightning one looks so much better with the name and number but I understand your decision.

I’m not sure who has the disposable income to buy all these gimmicky money grabs the league keeps throwing at us, but all the power to them. Maybe lower ticket prices and fill some of those empty seats instead 🤔

I bought a size 54 RR 2.0 Devils to wear over my hockey equipment. The rest of my jerseys are size 50.
I'd have The Arizona, Boston and Montreal jerseys much lower.
Man, I love the Chicago one so much and it seems like I'm the only one. The only reason I am not getting it is the price because WOW. I know good quality jerseys cost decent money, but not almost $200

I do agree the Blackhawks and Red Wings is the worst Reverse Retro 2.0 jerseys of the whole line also to add the Hurricanes as well it's a nice jersey that could become their new home jersey but it's a copy of their away jersey and they just put it in a red version where is the Reverse Retro 2019 that is 3 years ago
I don't like the stitched line through the stomach on the Flames jersey that said it's the only thing I don't like. Its color scheme is brilliant and when you see the full uniform it's hard to argue they aren't top of the class this year.
As a Wings fan it sucks to see them fail on this years jersey again. I think the Bruins one is beautiful.
100% on Philly being last. As a fan since 1980, when I saw this I thought it was their new away jersey.

Speaking of that, I’d have put Vegas higher. Mainly because between this glow in the dark and their home gold, it’s about as Vega$ as you can get!!

I don't know if anything can ever pass up the robot penguin as my favorite logo. Not just in the NHL, but in sports in general. The only thing that comes close is the glorious monstrosity that is the Toronto Raptors 90s Barney the Velociraptor logo.

Anaheim’s striping on the RR is completely different than the orange. It’s based on the OG look but in orange.
I know that. I have every Anaheim jersey. It still looks like a third, VERY similar to the orange third they have now.
@@TheHockeyGuy but the orange one looks incredibly different?… horizontal striping at the base, no chevrons on the sleeves, laced collar and shoulder patches with the webbed foot logo. You’ll see a black version of this current RR as their primary home possibly by next year, 30th anniversary seasons
That's the thing though. It isn't different enough for a casual viewer of the team. The colors are the same and the logo is the same. Rumor had it that the orange was going to become their primary.
Shannon hates Detroit, and our where’s Waldo jerseys confirmed. Just kidding. Side note, I’ve always wanted a Wings 3rd jersey to have some black, black jerseys just look cool imo. But this one? I’m on the fence, but I think it’s okay. Better than the last retro
