I always add my liquid first, about 1/3 of the way up, then add glitter. Finish filling with liquid and wahlah! Less bubbles ☺️ beautiful cups hate you had to pitch a couple.
I used the Elmer’s magical liquid mixed 2/1 with majority of it being distilled water. It lets the glitter stay suspended longer than 50/50 glycerin/distilled water mixture.
I tried the Elmer’s “magical” stuff and distilled water. It did bubble badly also. It’s really thick. I let it sit and gas off overnight but the bubbles didn’t go anywhere. After watching a few more RUclips videos that recommended spritzing the bubbles with 91% alcohol, I thought I give it a try. . It totally worked. It’s been about 2 weeks and you can shake it and the bubbles don’t come back. It is a very dense solution so it moves very slowly and the glitter stays suspended , which some people like because when you have your drink in your tumbler you can’t keep shaking it. I think there might be a correct proportion of water to glue that may make it work great. Just not sure what that is yet. Thanks for doing the video. I love these comparison videos. It give us options!
This is the most helpful video everyone just mentioned the glycerin heh forget that!!! The contact solution is a perfect choice!! I'd love a video where you test coloring the solution with mica powder and also adding polymer bits to it. You helped me so so much with this thank you!
I use 2 tbls for every 1 cup of water, have never used the contact solution but I will try after watching this video, thank you for this informative video I love it.
I'm so glad you found it helpful! ❤️ I did ship one glass tumbler. I made sure to put lots of padding around the glass and it shipped just fine. 😊 I would recommend making sure that it has insurance on it though because USPS can be so rough with packages.
Hello i wonder how it different it would be with the glue mix if you put some of the liquid in the cup before the glitter was added maybe can be your next video? 😉

Aww! Thank you so much! ❤️ I definitely can't take credit for the stickers on the bottom of the cups, that is all Kari with Critter Cup Customs.. she's so talented!!! Blessings as always Mimi! ❤️
If you mess the tumblers up you can shake the liquid and glitter out into the trash. Then keep rinsing until everything is gone. Then i do an alcohol rinse after dawn dish detergent
It definitely wasn't you! Lol. Reference the glue / water, I've had a few suggestions saying to add some water before adding the glitter and that it helps. I found that I like glycerin/water and contact solution best So I probably won't be trying the glue again. Lol
Wow! Thank you for doing all the testing! Much appreciated. 💐❣️. P. S. Doesn’t the contact solution make the glitter settle quicker than the glycerin or baby oil? Thanks again! 🌻
I use the Elmer’s glue…bubbles oh yes lol I watched lots of videos and they said to degass for about 24-48 hours. I love the way it flows. Fine glitter is the devil. It clumps really bad in the glue.
Thank you! The Tumblers in this video came from a random company I found online but I did not care for them because they were all different sizes from each other. I ended up buying more from the stainless steel depot and I was much happier with the ones that I bought there.
The cups actually already came with holes in them. 😊 Since making this video, I've been ordering my glass globe tumblers from Stainless Steel Depot and they are great.
Thank you... I actually had Elmer's magical liquid but I only had 4 tumblers so I didn't try that one. Lol. I got my images on Etsy.. they are digital files that I sublimated on to the glass. In my previous toutorial where I sublimated the tumblers, I have the links to the Etsy listings in the description.
I have a question. My snow globes came with a sealer. I see that you used silicone did you do that for appearance purposes or is it best not use the seal that came with it.
You can use the seal that came with it. The ones I originally ordered did not come with seals, that's why I didn't use one. I have used some since making the video that came with seals and they worked perfectly.
Thank you! A company on Etsy called GiftmanUK created it for me but I don't think they are still selling them on there, I had it made a few years ago. There are plenty of companies on Etsy who can make awesome logos. 😊
Good to know! We mixed the glue with distilled water which is what we thought we were supposed to do. Then we put glitter in the tumbler and the mixture into the tumbler. That obviously didn't work so I definitely appreciate the advice!
@@KristisCustomCreations Yeah, getting the glitter wet with distilled water before pouring in the glue/water mixture will keep it from sticking at the top of the glass.

Are contact solution and saline solution the same for tumblers? I have been struggling HARD getting my glitter to flow. I’ve tried probably 4 different “recipes” and ruin all 4 tumblers 😢
I don't think it would be considered the same thing. I find that using the Walmart brand of contact solution, which is pretty an inexpensive, is what I like using best. Which recipes have you tried so far?
@@KristisCustomCreations the Elmer’s magic liquid, clear glue and water, water and glycerin (once equal parts and once 1 part water to 3 parts glycerin), and mineral oil.

Try putting some of your liquid in before glitter. Some have said it keeps glitter from clumping at the top.
I agree with the previous post "The Elmers Magic Slime" works the best for me.
Thanks! I have some, just haven't been able to make any with it yet. I'll try it next! 🥰

Try tilting the cup and fill in the bubbles with a syringe. You want as little air as possible in there before you seal it up. :)
2 parts distilled water and half elmers glue and half veg glycerine 😊

You should add less glue. Try lower down your glue ratio and add more distilled water. Some people like slow effect.
No idea what you did with the glue mixture. You have to put a bit of straight distilled water in first, THEN the glitter, THEN the glue mixture.
