An additional detail regarding Elena Knuckle: if you dodge her attack in just the right way, with your back to the the cliff face that the party almost falls down during the mid-battle cutscene, she herself will fall off the cliff and there's an animation of her running back up the hill to rejoin The Fray. This is still a reference to the scenario in Icicle Inn, which as you noted, if you dodge her punch there, she tumbles down the hill
