I remember mobile banks, we had one come to the hamlet we lived in once. Also mobile shops, butcher’s & fishmonger’s. We even had a mobile library and a mobile chippy come to Chilton Foliat where I grew up. Brilliant job. It would be good to put period Midland bank scaled down posters on the walls inside.

I really enjoyed this one Martin. I thought it's a kind of a funny one for Dinky to do. It was nice to see all the detail in the casting once it was stripped and cleaned. It most be a bloke, as at the time, I think Dinky would have put a long skirt on a woman. Great looking at the finish on the magic, cheers Ady.
Hello Martin not seen one of those before great restoration great paint work. I find. the. Perspex. Food. Package ing very useful for making windows for models. Thanks for the great videos hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
I finally got chance to watch this video Martin, it's a beautiful restoration, it really is. I've not seen this model before but wow, you've made it look amazing. I laughed when you said about touching up the figure. 😂😂 Hahahaha. Looking forward to your next video which I'm going to watch in about 5 minutes. All the very best. Peter.
Another Dinky vehicle I have never seen before. It came out looking great. I always learn something new watching your vids Martin. It's so very typical "utilitarian" Dinky. What kid wants to grow up to be a bank clerk?!!!! 'Dodgy Dan' looks like he's got a hoodie on. You could park one of your Jag models next to this as his getaway car!
Hi Martin wow what a transformation you've really brought it back to life. Great work on the paint work . We have been hearing a lot about the Queens jubilee over here too. I might be in Aus but I'm still very proud of where I came from and I'm very proud of our Queen and the long service she has given to the commonwealth. It will be a sad day when she go's for sure. Oh well keep safe mate and I'll catch you on the next one.👍
Hi Martin yet another one "Saved" by all the effort you "Spent" on it. We think it's a lady inside her name is Nat West a friend of Lloyds from Yorkshire. They are on a Nationwide tour ATM (at the moment). All the best from Ian b & family.
Thanks Martin - Just got into this hobby (recently retired) and I have spent several happy hours over the holiday weekend watching some of your videos. By the time I was 10/12 years old, back in the early 60's, I had just over 200 Dinky toy cars, all kept in mint condition with their original boxes. All from the 1950's. My father couldn't understand why I never 'played' with them - I just kept them on display and admired them. I kept them all until the the early 1980's when I was short of money and sold them all to a dealer. I shudder to think what they would have been worth now. Anyway, you have inspired me to buy one or two old models and to see how I get on with restoring them. Are you going to do any further 'beginner' videos - I think you got up to No 6 ? Thanks again.
Thanks Philip it means a lot. Yes I wish I still had all mine , I will be continuing with the beginners guide I think painting will be the next one I will be doing one on jewelled head lights also. I appreciate your support my friend 👍
Beautiful job on this one Martin, I love it, been looking at one of these for a while, I did think it was a lot bigger than it actually is, but you really have done a great restoration on this, I did laugh when you said about touching up the figure 🤣😂, being politically correct and me don’t go together, I’m always getting myself in trouble at work lol!! Take care, all the best, Nick.
