  • Finally, Mina goes back to school today and she shot this video before the new academic year officially begins. Yes, she only needs to be at school for 2 hours for the opening ceremony. I'd like to know where else on earth would one find another school that has the summer holiday extended all the way after the Moon festival. Hahaha! It was last Saturday.
So ladies and gentlemen, Mina thought she would prepare one more video before her summer holiday really ends, so may we present to you "Surf Rider" (cover). This is in fact the very first surf song we played when it all began. But we were playing Mr. Moto The Surfrajettes and they sort of put "Surf Rider" inside. We didn't know it was a separate song by itself back then. We never got around to play "Surf Rider" by itself so here it comes. It's a simple tune, but she DID put in effort to play the full versio. it's not as epic as the previous song we played (Caravan) but this song is a fun song to play as well.
Just in case you want to know how Mr. Moto and Surf Rider were fused together, check it out here: • Guitar Girl ベンチャーズ Mr....
Again, Mina and I would like to thank those who have been giving us continued support, enjoy watching our videos and our playlists, and we believe a good way to show our gratitude, especially to our recent subscribers (yes, you😊) is to put in even more effort in bringing you music you might like.
Don't forget to try Mina's non-stop Japan themed month of surf rock with the playlist she has prepared for you:

Ride of the Song: 1993 BMW M5 Wagon (E34)
Now, I know, it should have been a British car this week but it is a bit sad, and all the ones I really want to talk about are a bit too...hmm....unreachable (like a Phantom V to go with the occasion). So, how about something I have had in mind for decades, and something that would be considered the smallest / most compact ride for the Cotton Kids and our gear: the M5 wagon from the early 1990s. I have not seen one around for literally decades, but i remember how nice even the non-M 5 series were. Even a 530i would be so much fun to drive with lots of torque and comfort, plus refinement back then. And the M5....boy, it was back then coined "the wolf in sheep's clothing". Yes, "the" wolf, not "a" wolf. The sedan version was definitely one of the fastest sports sedans when they first came out (late 80s if I remember it right), but the wagon variant, boy, to me, that would give me the cargo space I'd need for all our gear. Of course, I have not driven any of these E34 for decades, and suspect it would not be as nice/new as the ones I drove back in the 90s. Wait, in 2022, someone still wants to get an E34 M5, that car would be totally restored thus the glory from the back would return in full. Hey, it's a E34 wagon (but M5), no one looks at you but don't forget, it's THE wolf in sheepskin.

I like this number so much.

Great cover! Nokie Edwards used banjo strings on his guitar- at least he did in the early days. It might be worth experimenting with...
I had a 95 E34 M5 wagon! Great car... mostly....I bought it fairly cheap from a motor shop teacher who brought it back from Germany with him (he had a whole garage full of grey market German cars). It ran great and handled very well, super easy to work on. But the electrics were garbage. I think they tried to do too much too soon and the technology just wasn't there. My sunroof stopped working and I never could fix it- along with the alternator light. Nothing wrong at all with the charging system, but the light stayed on all the time until I finally blanked it out so I wouldn't have to look at it anymore. Decent riding cars- felt very solid on the road and the build quality was definitely better than anything else at the time. It was my first Beamer and that's when I learned that NO AFTERMARKET PARTS work right or fit properly- use ONLY BMW PARTS! Probably should have kept as they are running $80 to 100k nowadays, but I couldn't pass up that new Jag....

what a lucky guy!!! The e34 M5 Wagon was not available in the US when I was there, unless someone like your teacher brought it there. Lucky you! Else where it was rare too, as the M5 had such a big name.
I hear ya, I was referring to a brand new one, like the one I drove in Canada decades ago. i reckcon getting one now (if I find one), it'd be a pain for the electronics to work well and to avoid the onboard computer to really not light up like a X'mas tree. I like the E32 7 series from the 90s a lot, but they are just....not "fixable" (the small things, big things are ok, but the electronics). BMW stops producing the parts too (what?!?!). So I'd say the same would happen to a E34...so i was really referring to a brand new one...how it drove, how reliable and capable it was...how refine it was and all....but realistically, unless one finds a museum condition E34 M5 sedan/wagon, it's not easy to keep it in a good shape for an ordinary car guy like me. But, the M5 wagon you find, they should be in good shape, as only true enthusiasts would owen them.
Yes, you should have kept it. It's more rare than most of the 911s...it's just as rare as the E30 M3 (which is going for insane money) but close. it's not only in the US. Any one of these found in Asia or in Europe would be snatched almost instantly, often at a much higher premium.
The Jag is nice....I saw one yesterday, despite I already have something nicer, I still want it...it was in British racing green (but had a metalic base paint) with cream leather seats. it was not the high performance version but handsome and cool enough....will see what numbers come out in the lottery. He he

@@PangPangguitarjam Yah, you know if I had the money and I could find one.... I would walk right by and not buy it. I've had lots of cars, some I really miss and should have never sold, others, like this BMW, I feel nothing for it. I have zero nostalgia for the E34 because at the end of the day it wasn't a very exciting car and the electrical problems soured me - the electrical manual was something like 1,000 pages across 3 volumes and you still needed to have dealer-only diagnostic tools to access most of it. AND you still couldn't fix the stupid thing even if you had the diagnostic equipment. I honestly believe that there's not a human alive then or now that can actually fix one of these cars properly. I would rather take the money and buy another baby-blue Firebird and use the rest of the money for gas and tires :)
