90% of that was his tone. It was super dry, fuzzy, little to no delay----not real "metal friendly other than having a lot of overdrive. Same sort of sound you get when running direct into the board......which he may have actually done. It's really hard to play clean like that

Different people like different things, making it impossible to differentiate "good" from "bad", but talent, skill, accuracy, etc., can be measured, and Max's playing on this video SUCKED. It has nothing to do with our expectations. He was failing to do what HE himself, was attempting. Peel yourself from the end of his c*** and accept it, fan-boy.
