Mud the 3 wheeler there meant for the mud and water. Like this up so he can see it plz
They are good in the snow too, we used to piss the police off every winter. All bundled up sliding around, good times.
Some are but these are sportier models with better suspension and hp and were commonly used for racing if anything i would wheel the shit out of a 200es because of the high/low box and chain drive is easier to maintain and lift

I recently got bit by the 3 wheeler bug. I went from none to owning 5 within the last couple months. I want a 200x and a 350x next. Then there are a few others I wouldnt mind owning for various reasons

Im sure he knows he just doesn't want to get into the case. Those bikes are hard to find parts for period. Not to mention trans parts.

I think some of those older Honda's had a problem with 3rd gear being weak.

I have an 86 200x with a complete dg exhaust and a 25mil carb and it’s 20 over with a high compression wisco. I love it and ride it more then my other machines.
That's a decent trike and good to get a better feel for wheelies!

The rear tires are shorter than stock and the wheels have an offset in them too. I used to occasionally run those when flat tracking for toque and stability with mine but they severely limit top end speed. Try a stock set of rears and it will be much faster top end. Great video!

Second gear is definitely the best gear for wheelies. And the 200x has really good low end torque. Not the fastest but nice for trails and all around riding

My '85 200X with stock 12/40 gearing clocked 52 mph. Recently went to 13/40 gearing and clocked 58 mph. 1 tooth equaled 6 mph.
If you do a seat cover, try and replicate your ex 2 tone seats. (Diff colors obviously) Black on top and white on the sides, fading into the white tank. That’d look sick!!
Looks like the left tire could use a lil air, looked like the machine favored that direction in a wheelie
That compression will remain high if you keep clean oil in it. 10W 40 conventional. Literally, change it every couple of hours. Dont worry about expensive oil either. Keep the air cleaner clean also, and do over rev it. I have a 1984 myself. I bought it in 1989 and have rode it for a long time. I didnt try to destroy it. Mainly hills, trails, and kept it out of the deep water. Im 52 and it still does not use any oil. No smoke at all!!!!!!

Re adjust your clutch.. There should always be a little Play in the Handle.. Which there is not after you adjusted it....
Looks in decent shape. sometimes it's hard to find parts for those old machines
2vintage the pads for the raptor 660 you gave away are the same pads for the 200x
Maxima makes a great foaming cleaner that will retain that wet look after it dries. Just spray it off.
I would replace those clutch plates probably be a game changer not sure but 🤷

My '86 TRX200SX will get 48mph, but it has one more wheel, and a few more pounds. For being a semi automatic, it will still point the nose for the sky! That 200cc Honda engine has a lot of torque for its size!
Nice video! Switch gears w/o clutch in your wheelie to keep it up without revving it so high.
Sweet machine my friend! Just one thing though, sounds like it could use some new friction disks. Clutch seems a bit loose.

I had issues with my throttle cable pulling a bit causing high idle, maybe check that first. Vibration causes it along with the clutch issues you already discovered. At least on the one I had it did.
I currently have a ttr 125 and I know for a fact the cable is being pulled. Sometimes when I turn it revs the shit outta the bike. How do you fix the cable?

Throttle cable will bring the idle down if you already messed with the carb
Only if there's tension on the cable

On some quads Honda made the quad optional, meaning you could use it, or don’t. I wonder If that’s like that.
Looks like 3rd gear is acting up. I had an 82 semi auto 180 I think and it was lots of fun back in the 90s

Early’80’s. Fun times, my neighbour had one of these and could wheelie third through fifth with me on the back! Of course I was only twelve and 70 lbs. soaking wet. My ride was a Kawasaki klt 110... anyone remember those?
We have a 1985 Honda ATC 200x that the owner before used for racing purposes and my dad built the engine and it goes 75
Top speed for my stock 1985 200X was about 55 as clocked by our car back in 1985.

Now that the compression is good maybe change that dark dirty oil so the engine could stay in a good condition what do you think?
Do you hold the throttle in on Dirtbikes too or just four wheelers and 3 wheeler for compression test

Oils actually high because you supposed to screw the dip stick in to get a correct height of the oil
That's a nice trike. Seems like it's mechanically sound with one exception. It sounds like the dogs on the third gear may be worn. Does it slip in and out of third as you're riding?
It does look like your clutch is slipping because it should engage faster than what it is doing that's why it's taking more time to get up to speed every shift
Needs more carb work for sure. These would run 57-59 stock with a light rider back in the day.
Man I am going to say this as nice as I can I have a 83 atc185s it’s my family’s baby when you check Over a Classic Honda trike and don’t mess with the trikes idol/tuneing your being left out as we are watching your videos you need to get a shop book for that bike and it will run great right now she’s yelling helllp me you will have much more Power once that tune correctly ask any trike guy FYI that exhaust on your bike is aftermarket I have it on mind so I want point somebody had to take care of that thing please look into the stuff I told you to do you have a legend in your garage Please do your best to treat it right
