I have an all original 85 honda 250sx and it was stolen, when we got it back it was painted and broke. I wanna restore it but I can't find any OEM parts
You should see all the new upgrades just done. I might just post a vid this week getting everything put back together and firing it up first time in a long time. But I’m sure the lt250r would surprise you fully built just for the street
The 200X was probably one of the heartiest machines of the era. I had two, an 83 and an 84. Neither of them broke down, ever. That's a collectors item now and worth some cash if it's clean enough.
I have an 84 200X that I restored. Three days before I was supposed to take it on it’s “maiden voyage” on the trails I ruptured my ACL. Now it’s just sitting in the garage collecting dust. They are awesome machines and an absolute blast to ride.
So i gotta say your trouble shooting is getting so good, i was impressed how quickly you got that classic to spark. I didnt think you would get it to run without tearing that carb apart but well done. My buddy had a 200x when i was a kid, i had the 84 tecate 250, lots of memories when i saw that 200x. I would love to watch you restore it. I know a 200 would be nothing compared to todays big bore bikes but that little 200 is loads of fun and fast for its small engine size.
Hell yea!! I'm goin riding for first time on my new to me 85 350x I been building during quarantine, I love these things, grew up on them, so nice choice bro!!!
I bought one of these when I was 14 and rode it almost every day for 3 years until I sold it, wish I had kept it. One of the best bikes Honda ever made in my opinion
I have an 85 250sx, I love these atcs. Hope to own every kind Honda made someday. So far I've had 3. ES, 70, SX. It'll run, ever see junkyard digs's atc build, it'll run.
Good old honda trikes. I had a big red 250es that sat in someone's back yard for 12 years and I got it running by just a plug change and carb cleaned. Another great find!
When I was a young teen I was blessed to have owned three of these . Two 84s and an 85 . One would start in the dead of winter on a cold start . The other two was torturous at times ! I still have dents in my shin bone from the recoil of the hick starter !
Nice man im 13 years old I have a '83 250r I did a lot of work to get it going I want to get more of these machines but its kind of hard to find one in Vegas and it hard right now because of money.
Yeaahhh honda 200x! I have an 85 200 and I love that thing with every inch of heart. They’re a really reliable machine and you should really restore that thing. Fun mine has a cobra too witch told me your 84 has potential
@@plaguedoctor7021 regardless the brand it is likely to blow running on old oil over long periods of time. Mine ran just to test it before I had the new oil.
Nice score dude its sick. Even has period correct cobra exhaust. That thing will rip hard!!!! I grew up on Those very fun, awesome find dude.I have a 86??? 250es hi and low, has the trunk, with front and rear racks, pull start and electric, drove it through the river and it just keeps on going, there so cool!!!!!!!!!! Surprised you don't know the switch needs to be grounded on the handle bars.
I had one when I was growing up love to have another one that don't have the money to get one praising 3 teenage kids Kind of puts a damper on a budget But when these days I'll have another one lol
That is literally the same as my first ever atv. Man that brings back memories. Badass! I put mine through hell, buried it up to the handlebars in the swamp and it just kept going! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Honda run better these machines were so dependable. I've had them all no bs had this trike before and yes its a 1984 200x freaking had so many good times on these born and raised my friend.
I had the exact one in the late 80s early 90s and I put alot of miles on mine. I still have it but needs alot of attention and a motor. This one you got is really in good shape. Mine would not get spark and I replaced the magneto and ran like a champ.
The Cobra exhaust is VERY period correct. No Key on a 84 200x. The master cylinder and headlight guards are Hondaline accessories, not standard but optional.
Love the videos man. I think it'd be cool to see a Timberwolf 250 4x4 if you find one. They're a smaller engine but really neat older quads and you usually don't find them in great condition. Keep up the content man.👍👍
You bringing back some memories with all that kicking! Mine would slip off if I was wearing tennis shoes and would come back and hit my shin oh my god it would hurt!! I had to wear boots when it was hard to start.
I had a 200x growing up it was alot of fun and was nearly indestructible except for the chains and sprockets wearing out alot in the sand here in Florida
The headlight was working when u tried to start it. I read all the comments to see if I was the first to mention it lol. But if u need more idea for quads to get, ltr 450 (very expensive for oem parts tho), outlaw irs, scrambler 400 4x4, lt 80, ds 650
200x is a very sought after bike. Love em, my favorite is the 350x. The 84 models had some flaws but we're awesome as well, first year for the Trx 4 wheelers to, same motors and rear ends, tires wheels etc. I've got # 644 off the assembly line out in my shop right now.
Also like my '97 Honda XR200R it should be a 520 sealed chain. I always bought Primary Drive X-Ring chains from Rocky Mountain ATV bc they weren't very expensive and bc I lubed them (from the inside so centrifugal motion pulled the oil through the links) before EVERY ride with a paintbrush and a cool whip container of used oil, later on I switched to bar and chain oil applied the same way. My chains lasted a long time.
I have an ATC 125m rn, and I can't wait to get a 200x, 250r, or a 350x. Really looking forward to this series and the build process for this atc Edit: All ATC's have a key iginition from the factory. Looks like yours was stripped Edit 2: The on switch you're referring to on the handle bar is for the headlights. Also this assembly needs to be grounded by the handlebars to work.
Dude one more rare thing I see that side case cover that's a great sigh I can't tell you how many I've seen with spilt cases from chain coming off and splitting the case because people would take them off or not tighten there chain when doin crazy stuff.
you want some real power get a Honda 350x they have crazy power and do fifth gear wheelies all day long i had lots of the 200x pretty good 3 wheelers ------- keep up the good work
keep the mikuni, it has an aftermarket cobra exhaust and will run like absolute crap with the stock carb. I have the same atc only 1983 that's very built, fun thing.
I had one of these back in the day. It was a death machine constantly trying to kill me. The scariest thing was going down steep, rutted out hills on it.

I love ATC projects, seeing these come back to life brings a smile to my face every time.
I had one of these about 20 yrs ago. Was a blast to ride in the snow. Lived on a lake that froze in the winter, tons of fun.

Old Honda 4 strokes never die, they just jump time.
I bet that oil is 36 years old just like the Wheeler
and i bet with that oil it would run because its a Honda
@@plaguedoctor7021 I can confirm it does.
I have 32 year old Honda that I got running and tested with the old oil. When I changed it, it came out extra thick.

It's a Honda it will run, I have a 85 350x and she is a beast and it still runs ....
Gotta love those old 3 wheelers...gonna be cutting a video about mine soon
That exhaust is worth some money. It’s not a question of if it will run. It’s gonna run. It’s a Honda atc
You should do more 3 wheeler videos, I love 3 wheeler's
