Lol I don’t think the problem with College Football is the lack of great games. The problem is that if your not in the playoff conversation then your irrelevant and if a game dosent have playoff implications then it dosent matter. Washington vs Oregon St was one of the best games in CFB last year and nobody talked about it because neither team was in the playoff race.

No, there is a big no big games issue in cfb, and it’s a result of letting top teams pick their non conference schedule. If this sport had a commissioner, Alabama wouldnt be able to play nobodies like middle tenn on kickoff weekend.
@@DigitalSpital The big bowl games were mostly good, competitive games. Now we have bad playoff games and the same teams in the final four.

@@russiadavidson3990 I'm a SEC fan but was impressed that the B12 resurrected itself after losing its two best pgms. The conference was supposed to have died years ago but unlike the Pac12 the B12 took the necessary steps to survive and has moved ahead of the ACC as the No. 3 conference.

@@tommartling2473 ya. a swing and a miss by Colin there. I've been following the team since 2015, never once "hate watched" a game, even through all of the controversy. Is the team young, Yes. Are other countries catching up with us, Absolutely. There is no excuse. No reason to ignore their recent behavior. Retired vets and experts of the sport are calling them out over their poor performance. It reminds me of the so called "deva wide-receiver"... where the team and fanbase will tolerate their shenanigans, until they preform poorly.

The reason people are angry about the US Women's team is because they are too political, not because they lost. They whine too much, and they protest the national anthem while wearing our jersey. If you hate America, fine, then don't make $$ representing us. Colin, stop making excuses for them.

The problem with this argument is that Labor Day weekend is non conference matchup / paycheck week for most schools. Re aligning won’t fix that. I agree that we’ll get better games overall, but picking Labor Day weekend as an example is a miss.

PAC12 followed the streaming service right too its death. I think Streaming Service will end up: Amazon Prime, HBO MAX (if warner sells them), Netflix and RUclips and everyone will sell contain to these streaming services. CFB: Big Ten, SEC, and combined Big 12 & ACC (several years down the road).

But instead of blaming the smaller schools, why don’t we blame your BIG TIME schools that are members of the SEC and B1G. Please do yourself a favor and check out Georgia’s out of conference schedule this year… (it is an embarrassment). Why did Alabama play Bethune-Cook before playing Auburn a few years ago? It is ridiculous to assume that these two super conferences will fix these problems.

So from what I've read, the bills are the issue, not who's paying them. There are in many ways bills that Power 5 school athletic programs invent, such as $8 million salaries for coaches and opulent facilities. We are talking about college here. Most of the students live on a shoestring budget and no one is there to get rich while there, it's supposed to be about learning.
