@@RobRossiFan This isn't a misunderstanding of the rules, the CU is stating that Petko hit the ball prior to the call, if true, she should lose the point no matter what. In this case, it really sounds like it happened during her shot, which should be a replay. However, if he said, "her shot was so good that all you could do was e a forced error no matter what," that is a better argument. Similarly to when a powerful serve is called out but overruled, yet tipped by the returner, the returner still loses the point rather than replaying it.
Yulia did not hit that over head at her. Yulia gets blamed for a lot of things she hasn't done. People like to pile on her. I like her., and I like how she plays. Very quick and exciting to watch. She is a LOT shorter than most of the players, but holds her own. Does she go overboard sometimes? Yes, but at least she brings some personality to the game.
On the one hand as an official (not for tennis) I hate unsporting conduct. On the other I legitimately only watch these compilations when it comes to viewing tennis. Therefore, tennis is my cognitive dissonance.
we all know these mto, close calls, ball kid interference, supervisor always siding with ump etc will happen. i think the players need to work more on mental fitness and learn how to "reset" better. these players complain for so long and dont reset properly and lose. I think of marcelo rios, borg, or steffi graf in these instances. They dont like the call, complain for about 10 seconds then they "reset" and end up winning in the end. these players need to learn this.
I think you're right. But I get the cumulative nature of it--especially since these players and umpires are traveling and working to the same venues. It's like the same chair that screwed you over in Hamburg is doing it again in Budapest.

If I am the head of WTA/ATP I would just abolish Medical timeouts completely. Either keep on playing or retire. Too many players are abusing it.
I hear you, but tennis is part of the entertainment business. From ticket holders to tv contracts, if matches end early due to medical reasons that can be actually treated, then the venue and sport itself may find it losing money in refunds and unsold tickets.
@@piper998877 i hear you too. And i think people from above wants the drama. Because why not let the umpire and players access replays. It would solve so many debates and it would actually make the dispute much faster. I mean, it doesn't even need to be the hawk-eye, they just need 2-3 properly placed cameras which i think they already do.
Actually, it would be an awful idea, because then most of the matches would be either a squashies or wouldn't even start at all
THE LAST VID HELPP😭
The ball kid replay decision was a joke. Kalinina was a miiiile away from the ball.
It is a rule
17:44 😆😆😆
YES!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sick of this medical timeout bullshit. You want a trainer, you forfeit the current set.
Fuck off it’s a couples minutes at most professionals shouldn’t be letting it affect them so much
Forfeiting the set is so over the top lol.
It should be forfeiting the next game. Not too much punishment on genuinely injured players whilst stopping players from abusing the rule.
@@balmorrablue3130 this cold your body and unfocused, isn't to take advantage but to balance the match when your opponent is better, it ain't fair at all.
OMG that last one from the ATP. Did he hit a floodlight? Lucky a ball kid wasn't standing there.
Petko and her coach wanted to fool everyone, it's so clear that she hit the ball and the same time with out call
what a shameful behavior.
if it's at the same time, it's supposed to be replay the point. I am still unconvinced she was in a position to get it back over, but you are supposed to favor the hindered player.
Now she wants to get a moderation job i TV. Unbearable woman without talents
@@piper998877 If she hit the ball back to court yes replay but she made error so no replay I am sure that XP CU Tomas knows rules better than both of us
@@RobRossiFan This isn't a misunderstanding of the rules, the CU is stating that Petko hit the ball prior to the call, if true, she should lose the point no matter what.
Collins was right though
Yup.
That ending tho 😂
Olivo - “why?”
Umpire - “
Olivo - “shut up”
🥴🥴
You should make a compilation of Danielle Collins complaining next
I don't ever want my kids to watch or participate in this sport. These athletes are physically gifted but they are complete mental cases , spoiled , and self entitled
17:44 ok now that was something
Time violation in the beginning for ystrenka. Wtf is the point of the rule if you're not going to follow it???
They even put some spiritual african song for keeping Collins calm 🤣🤣🤣" Wes Alane " Superb Song.
Danielle rubs people the wrong way, but she’s usually always right with calls.
Medical timeout shouldn't be aloud anymore... If you're injured then lose your match... That's the most fair thing to do due to the lack of sportsmanship
Sorry but that is brutal. Can you imagine a Grand Slam final where someone, using your new rule, loses the Championship due to an injury that simply needs strapping or a bandage??
Yes. You are right on the money. Well intentioned rule but someone always takes advantage. Before medical timeouts you'll notice no one died in agony. Now, regular as clockwork.
@@davidsanderson5918 You must be in good shape... Ir you are not... Bad for you... They could have some extra time between sets... Like in football... If you need treatment just lost one set and do your treatment for the next one... In football if you need medical attention you have it outside and match continues with one less player... Bad luck!
@@davidsanderson5918 the psychological impact on the other player is just unfair...
The Vinci/Errani doubles team could use some very salty language during matches. Maybe you can't show that on RUclips.
I’ve only bet on about 7 matches last few weeks and 5 are in this video lol
11:35 Gosh I love Collins 😂❤️❤️
Me too!! After all she's been through, I'm so glad she won in Palermo yesterday. And she beat Ruse this time!
Who knew tennis players could be so volatile!?!!
:-D I can't tell if this comment is sarcasm, or...?
Petko completely wrong :D
Is there a provision for a player to play a match under protest?
"Sorry."
Petkovich sure knows how to complain
chair umpire has to do a better job, using MTO, what are the requirements do they really know? players calling MTO on opponents serve, this not within the rules, unless is acute injury involves with bleeding etc. I don't see any acute, and these players crossing the line and they're allowing it. what happens when the chair umpire make a fault decision ? do they get punish ? players misbehave gets fine....it's a joke
7:47 look on 0.25x speed, it didn't bounced twice
What a surprise - Putinseva aimed right at opponents head.
Medical timeout is bullshit - play or quit. Spoil children and end up with brats.
Collins should be called Karen :p
