Thank you for all the comments and questions. I know one question that has come up a lot is why didn't Grandma move in with my Dad? My Dad would have to remodel his house to have Grandma move in with him, plus there isn't always someone home. We moved her in with us, because someone is always home 24/7 to make sure she is alright and take her to doctor appointments or shopping. Grandma's mind is all there, but her mobility is getting worse and she has falling more often in the past couple months. She was lucky she didn't break anything. Plus we have nicer weather all year in Florida.

Bobby, take it with you and get storage unit in Florida. Your grandma is going through a huge change! Please be gentle. Her world is changing and changing fast. We older folks have a hard time with that. Go slow with her! You can not imagine what is going on in her mind. She is frightened at what she does not know what to expect.

I know you have back issues & such I would hate to see this put you out of commission! I mean it's such a loving & selfless act to move your grandma into your & Cambriea's home as well as being the one to make the actual move! That is A LOT!! I know you're very organized & regimented which is great - I just hope you are resting when need be!! Sending positive vibes from NY & wishing you both a safe trip back to FL.!!

I moved in with my mom in 2009. My daughter and son in law moved in with mom in 2009 as she was failing and I still worked full time out of town so they were there for her. After she passed away, I inherited the house and we stayed. It is a change for us. You will need to give her privacy, if she shuts her door respect it. Make a special effort to make sure she feels welcome, wanted and safe. It will be a shock for grandma to have all the noise and hustle of the house. The kids will need time to adjust as well as grandma will. Invite her to go places. I think she will love getting to know her great grandchildren. If you need anything or just to talk here I am 24/7.

Bobby this to will pass. I had to move out my Aunt and uncle stuff in another state. Spent a whole month there by myself. I knew no one there. Many many many trips to goodwill. After I cleaned it out I hired a crew to paint the place. Another month there. Then met with a realtor to sell the place. Missed Halloween and thanksgiving with my family. I came home the day before Christmas. No place
like home. Remember everything that is there was drug in there and at some time it has to be drug out. Now I have some vague memory of all that mess and stuff. It’s amazing how much stuff one would accumulate year after year.

I recently did the same type of move. I'm currently renting an 8x10 storage unit. I lost my husband, and so I needed just a little more time to adjust and see what I really needed. I've been figuring it out and getting rid of things, I still don't have enough room for everything in my room, but I'm planning to try to get a small storage building to house my yarn and fabric in our yard. It made it easier for me to say goodbye to my old life.

I would get a storage unit my aunt did that for my grandma. My grandmother was in her house for more than 50 yrs she had a huge house 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms. So much stuff she had stuff that her mother gave her and some her great grandma gave her. She was in tears and my aunt rented a storage unit and it allowed her to take stuff she was having a hard time parting with. She passed a few years ago but we have family heirlooms dating back to the 1800's. I hope your grandma has a easy transition this wont be easy on any of you.

I’m so happy for the family. This warms my heart. I just lost my grandma last month. She lived with me for 10 years. When grandma moved in with me she gave a lot of her furniture away. She threw out and donated things. We negotiated appliances. If hers was newer we kept it and gave away mine. We had our basement loaded with a lot of her things and she slowly went through it all. Now we are going through the remainder of what’s left and we have a small storage spot for her things. My grandma had a craftmatic adjustable bed with a built in bed massager. It’s great for if they get sick it helps loosen the mucus. I have tons of caregiving ideas and things I’ve done. If you guys have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me.

Hello Bobby, it's a lot of work you have to do. Great that grandma is coming to live at your house.
I'm disabled and I know how it is to sleap in a chair for many years. I can not sleap in a bed, because I have a lot of pain. Sleeping in a bed is for me more than 16 years ago. I have such a kind of chair like her. The only place I can have a little rest. Sleeping is not something I can do often. Some times a little bit...
You do a lot of good work Bobby.
If you are older or disabled it's very difficuld to do something. I try to do a little a day. I'm proud if I can do what things in my little apartment...
It's so very fine for her that you help her so very good...!!!
    Greetings from the Netherlands, Marith...😊🐶👍🏻

Yay Gramma's moving in!!! So *potential spoiler* does that mean that Freya is moving to Xander's room off the kitchen and Xander I know will be moving back in with Bjorn, of course. Now Gramma will have Freya's room becuz its closer to the bathroom. Plus she will have the full size closet in there. Well that is good news!! And I would get rid of as many cardboard boxes and all those plastic bags and just only use the plastic storage bins. Especially the clear ones. That way you can see what is inside each one when they are stored in her room. I hope she will be able to have one recliner in the living room and one in her bedroom. I'm glad she has her lift chairs and will be getting and adjustable base bed. I have been sleeping in my recliner for a couple years now. Our old bed just hurts my back and I can't get up once my back is out. I hope to be getting a medical bed very soon. I'm really excited for y'all to be together and for gramma to have time with the kids. Its gonna be great!! I'm also sure there will be struggles and adjustments but I pray for peace and easy transition. I pray for gramma's stamina and comfort. I pray that all the things work together for goodness, peace and happiness to prevail on all aspects. In Jesus's Holy name His will be done. Amen🙏💜💞💚💌👍
    P.s. I hate snow, too. 👎

Yes we have it planed that one chair will be in her room and one in the family room. You are also right in the money when it comes to the room lay out. It will work well this way because Freya will be closer to us and grandma will have more space and that bathroom

I am sorry you got sick 😢! What an inspiring video of what all you got accomplished! Especially not only being sick but I know with your previous back problems it had to be hard too! I am so excited for you guys to have your Grandma move in with you guys! I lived with my Granmother back in the ‘90’s and we got so close! Before she passed away in the early 2000’s from cancer and was not in too much pain, I ‘d go visit her every night at dinner to record her on video when we had dinner bc I did not want to ever forget all her GREAT STORIES she had told me through the years! I would sit at the table with the recorder in the middle of the table and hit record. It had stories of how she and my Gramps met, their first date from early 1920’s and even how she would get off the horse and buggy right out of town so her high and fulty friends (more money that had crank cars) couldn’t see her on the horse and buggy . So when she comes to live we you guys take all it in! Let her tell you everything! Record it for keepsake and you will cherish it and your children will look back on it too and cherish it! You do not have to share it on here if you guys do not want to! It is a wonderful gift!! Thank you also for sharing bc I have been needing to totally declutter my house from top to bottom! There is so much I do not use and it is taking up so much space! I never use any of it! I have put it off for 3-4 years bc of a very bad back (6 surgeries of which 4 were for nerve stimulators) and depression! I am at the point now though it all needs to go! You video inspired me! Thank you so much! God bless! Good luck on the move! ❤❤❤❤❤

    Hey Cambriea and Bobby,
How was your day? Last weekend we had a snowstorm and today suddenly felt like our May/June weather... unbelievable. Bobby, I figured since y'all are from up North you'd kept at least a pair of boots in storage for your visits and a winter jacket just vacuum sealed. Despite your health kicking you in the butt you did an awesome job. Trying to condense years and all of those rooms into the back seat of a car is a humbling moment especially in your "Golden Years". I live alone and I'm currently in the process of moving. I've been decluttering for years and it's insane to see how many possessions you have until it's time to move. I'm starting my packing now for the end of June because I don't want to be overwhelmed.
I really enjoyed the snow removal. I wish we had that when I was younger and maybe today I would have a back. I can't wait to see Grandma be apart of your home life it'll be great for everyone. Thanks for sharing and I pray 🙏🏾 it's a smooth transition.
    ❤ Janelle 🇨🇦
