There's a special place in heaven for you, not only for taking in Grandma but for making your home hers too with her favorite chair, collectibles, etc. not to mention her cats. What a great lesson too for your children to learn that we need to take care of our elders instead of putting them in nursing homes. God bless you all!
I expect Grandma to thrive now that she is living with your family. You have done a great job of making her feel loved and welcomed. Instead of lonely days and micro meals, she has the company of a loving family, home cooked meals and a safe, warm place to live. This is a total win-win for everyone.
Before this, I have only known about the cleaning motivation channel and I found this channel and I have fallen in love with Bobby and the love he is showing for his family and his grandma! Wow! What a sweet man. I loved watching him take care of moving her down, and wrapping things in the tissue so carefully. Not many men would take care of that. I’m subscribing for sure.

The one thing that I think that could help her in the shower would be a couple grab bars to 1. help her stand up from the bench and 2. help stabilize herself when she does need to stand in the shower. Other than that, I'm sure that she's alot happier and thankful that she's no longer living alone. Thank you to you both for bringing her into your home and not placing her into a nursing home. You've heightened her quality of life ten fold! ❤

I love that you asked grandma to live with your family for her safety and well being, instead of potentially living in a nursing home. You will see a big positive change in her because she is around family and life all the time she will be more vibrant! . There will be bumps on this path but overall will be a fulfilling journey for all! Blessing to your family!

As a senior used to being on my own, I truly value my quiet space. It is going to take a while for her to get used to a really active family, so don't be surprised if she goes to her room and closes her door once in a while 🤣🤣

Watching the boys help Freya with the egg hunt made me think one of the reasons Freya is going to be a good big sister is that the boys have been showing her how. I know they aren't like that all of the time, but it's heartwarming to see.
The gnomes are a nice little touch of Wisconsin. I love how easily Grandma G's decorations blended in, it's like they were always there.
It sounds like her quality of life is going up along with her safety. No longer alone, good food, less housework, and it sounds like she's treated like a queen. She's living the good life!
How does she feel about becoming a RUclips star? I assume you wouldn't be filming her if she had a problem with it, of course. She seems comfortable with the camera, like a real natural.
As long as we don't film her before her morning coffee she said she will be fine.

This video gave me goosebumps. I loved my grandma so much. She was 60 years old when I was born, and she lived to be 100. I am 59 years old and still talk about my grandma and the impact she made on my life. Grandma Gloria has a beautiful smile! She seems to have adjusted well with the move. That road trip would have been hard for most of us especially sleeping in that moving van. Grandma Gloria did great. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

It's wonderful that you both opened up your home for Grandma. It will be a much safer place for her to live. And the memories being made are priceless.
Also, forget the family drama about Grandma! You did what is right and what she needed! It is so cool to have a great grandma around! I mean this is so cool that with people living longer kids can actually know them.
I would get a second litter box for the cats and put it in a different part of the house. Also get some cat scratcher, toys, and beds etc and spread them around the house, just like you did with Grandma Gloria's things, to help them feel like home.
It's great to see. The animals will adjust. You did a great job giving her spaces to set up her things.
You guys are doing a great job accommodating grandma! I love how you’re making her both safe and comfortable. 2 suggestions I have from caring for my own grandma is ask around and find a good gerontology doctor that specializes in older adults. They will be able to handle her medical needs but also help with resources for just her life in general. The second one is find a local senior center where she could make friends as well as stay connected to services for senior adults. May the Lord bless your family!
Family life is so important - nothing is worse than sitting in a room day by day, even with family visits. Even if your grandma was 100% able bodied. I am sure, after the fatigue and stress of moving itself subsides, your grandma has such a boost of quality of life - you give her back 24/7 family life (with a room to rest whenever she wants), safety and so much joy with your little ones and all the pets! I actually did it the opposite, as my mother does not want to give up her indepence (yet) i put a home office into her house (have a job who enables me to do that) and spend 50% of my time with her (no children so i am independent) and my sister and her family is closeby the rest of the time. The time we have is now -in the end, thats all what matters for every human being regardless of age.
My mom and dad moved into my house in 2019. My dad just passed away in February. He was 90. My mom is 85. He was so happy to be here. My kids came over all the time. We have dogs that he loved so much. You and Cambriea are doing a wonderful thing!
Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. At least you got to enjoy all that time with your Mom and Dad for so many years.

Bless you all ‼️♥️😍💛 just take each day as it comes. My hubby and I took care of his mom for 4 yrs before she passed. We have a lot in common. One month before we were planning to combine housing we found out we were pregnant. We talked about it and Grandma said she could think of nothing better than new life coming home to share with each other 🩷 she really loved holding the baby and she would talk about when she raised her children. Remember each day is a gift 💝

I cared for 3 yrs my Mom in her home until she passed at 95 yrs old. I treasure all the sweet memories I made with her. Grandma Gloria has such a nice smile and beautiful countanance.

Hi guys, I have a touch lamp for my elderly mom, I also put night lights all around for her. I also have the tall toilets but I also put a toilet seat riser on the toilet seat. This way she doesn’t have to go down too far. It is just wonderful that grandma is with you. Always be on alert when she goes to take a shower. I have a table top speaker that mom can use near her chair, that way she doesn’t play the tv too loud. Great job Bobby and Cambria.
Now that Grandma is all settled in, where is the new bundle of joy going to be? First few months are with mommy and daddy. Love generational families!

Another thing you probably did not mention is that she no longer has to cook. And so her health is probably going to improve because she is getting better nutrition. Also the kids will keep her young and the kids will learn so much more from having Great Grandmom around.
It is so wonderful that Grandma has joined your household. You have seen to her needs and any foreseen obstacles for her well being and bringing her pets, she loves them so. To be around the kids is grand. I am 72 and in ill health at the moment that I hope to come back from but to have taken that burden from her shoulders is a blessed thing. I admire you and Cambriea so much. 😘

When I had cats and a dog, I had to keep my cats’ food on a countertop to keep the dog away from eating it.
Being a caregiver is a full time job. You guys are doing a great job right out of the gate. The kids are going to have great memories of their great grandma!

As a person who has experienced this, expect that it will not be perfect. Look to Frasier to get a true expectation. Don't expect perfection or gratitude. Expect rough waters. Just put it aside and decide to love the other person and it will eventually work out.

You guys made such a beautiful room for Grandma... I wish I can move my mom who is disabled into my home however we have a two bedroom apartment unfortunately however I love what you guys did and how much you love her and want to help her. I am so happy Cambria is on the 4th baby and everything is going so well. I hope it's a girl so Freya has someone in her room like the boys are together as a team. I shared a bedroom with my sister almost all of our childhood life and it was awesome because it was like my best friend in my room with me like roommates. I love you guys and may God bless you and the rest of this pregnancy. Please keep posting the videos because they make my day when I watch them
I really enjoyed this video. I loved learning about how gramma is doing. It was so nice to hear that you guys brought her stuff so that she feels at home in her new space. Everyone should follow your example and take care of our elders. God bless you and your family and gramma.
Awe you gave Grandma a new beginning and a chance to have young ones around again. I am right there with her about the nursing home. Grandma will be very happy. I am so happy she was able to bring her comforts and memories.
I bet it is fun for her to have those little kids around her every day. The only suggestions I would make is to add a grab bar inside the shower. That helped my parents a lot as they aged. A wireless doorbell would also be great for her to have. If she needs help at any time, when you are in a different room, she can ring the doorbell to let you know that she needs help.

Hi Bobby, this video made my heart so happy to see grandma happy. She needs to be with family and you and Cambria are so thoughtful and caring for having grandma. I guess this touches my heart so hard because I'm a grandma raising my grandsons and being a widow too. Also I just found out I broke more hardware in my back and oh the pain I have and now looking at another surgery and without my husband. I'm scared to death so please keep me in your prayers..🙏🙏. I believe your grandmother is going to thrive in your home. If someone does not want or like the nursing home route there is no way they would thrive in that environment and in fact would decline rapidly. Great decision by all.
I’m glad to be able to watch this .. I’m so devastated.. my husband recently passed away at 39.. I had to move in with my grandmother and father. We have two girls and we are just so vulnerable right now. I will be watching your videos to get me moving.

Just wondering how in the world you keep the dogs out of the cat food. I had to have a "cat room" with a baby gate to keep my doglets out of my cats' food...and the litter box!

You might want to keep the cats food and water in her room..as the dogs will woof down the cat food in one gulp and the cats will get nothing. Great install of the ceiling fan.

She is fine with filming and being a background character in the videos. Everyone was curious about her and how she was doing so she was more in the spotlight. Her only request is to not be filmed until she is fully awake, so she at least needs to have her coffee first.

Grandma!!! ❤❤ I am so excited that you guys are multi generations. Incredible wisdom can be passed onto your kids. Safer for her. I am sure it's a bit noisier then what she is used to. But she seems to be a tough cookie.

Nice to see your getting settled with Grandma in the house.. I’m sure it will take a bit of an adjustment for all to get into a new routine.. if I can suggest maybe putting a safety bar in your shower which will give Grandma more of a sense of security while standing if she has something to hold on to if needed.. also if there is a senior Center that has activities she maybe interested in or just to get around other seniors … Bobby/Cambriea I can see how you take pride in your yard and home .. looks beautiful. You might get a rollator for your grandma as the rollator has a seat area for her to sit down when she would get tired when walking with the rollator and has bicycle brakes. The rollator folds up for you to easily transport in the car. You are wonderful to have her come to live with you. Nursing homes require a person to reveal all the financial assets like bank accounts, house, car...those assets will be used by the nursing home before social security will kick in to pay the nursing home. You might check with your state for the nursing home regulations. I was presented with asset reveal paper work by a nursing home as social security will only pay for so many days then they use your personal finances to pay them. Most older people have to sign over to the nursing home all their assets and after those assets are used then application has to be made to apply for a nursing home through social security.
We have a rollator, you just didn't see it in this video because it came after filming.
