The members of Toto were regulars on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, Sonny and Cher, and many others, contributing to many of the most popular records of the 1970s.
Toto’s Steve Lukather provided the main guitar work on Michael Jackson's hit "Beat It", although Eddie Van Halen played the guitar solo in the bridge. Jeff Porcaro played drums on that track, while Steve Porcaro programmed synthesizer for the Thriller album and also wrote and composed "Human Nature".
Steve Lukather is just one of the best guitarists on Earth.

When I play music in the arena at my son’s hockey games, this is the song I use when a team goes offside. Yet another meaning of the phrase “hold the line”.

Hey Saeed, you are hitting many of my favourite bands and songs. I am certainly enjoying your reactions to some of the greatest music ever recorded. My top 5 all time bands are, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Steely Dan, Toto and Kansas……with Peter Gabriel’s, Secret World Tour live video album, also being a top position.

Sometimes you may know a song, but don't know the title or who sang it. You only know a portion of the song, usually it's the refrain. When I was a kid, I was never knew many of the bands or the song title, but I could sing the song. Only bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. I knew, or maybe just the lead singer I would know. And the names of all the band members? No way, lol. Unless it was John, Paul, George, and Ringo 😅. As I became older, I took more interest in who was who. My point being, it's still a great reaction, and it qualifies as such, because you learned much more by reacting to it. Thank you, Saeed for finally getting to post this here. So true. It was a masterpiece of mixing in the days when it was almost impossible to do without so much effort.
This was a huge radio hit in 1978, kind of their breakthrough year, when they also had hits with "Georgy Porgy" and "I'll Supply the Love," plus the year a funk/disco song they wrote for Cheryl Lynn, "Got To Be Real," was also a big radio hit.
Great song. Definitely want to check out many more of their songs.
