Thank you for the upload! Your method saves me a lot, I was not able to get the software to create a bootable USB, and finally have your method. You have saved me,bro! Thanks again!

That's a pretty useful video man, thank you. But, something's bothering me. What happened to the rest of your videos. I'd love to learn more (as would many others, I'm sure) about the Windows C prompt. its a tool that is extremely under utilized.
Thanks for the comment/mention, glad to hear that! :) actually we closed the domain 'talknetworking.net' that's why haven't made any posts/videos. Sure, will be back with new videos sooon!

The first step is to obtain a .iso image file of windows xp, vista, 7 , 8 is not suported in this method . Now you need to mount the .iso image file with magic disk , daemon tools or any other mounting program.Bootable USB The next step is to open the command promt with administrator rights. Go to start , in the search bar type cmd , and right click the cmd file and select run as administrator. In the cmd program you need to type the following commands: diskpart→list disk→select disk 1(disk 1 is my usb drive , you need to select your usb drive , you will recognize the usb drive by its size)→clean→create partition primary→select partition 1(or 2,3,4 depending on what number is your usb drive)→active→format fs=ntfs→(the formating process will take about 10-15 minutes).Create Bootable USB After the formatting process is done you will continue writting commands:→assign(this will usually change the usb drive letter to H or G)→exit(this will exit the disk part but not the cmd)→xcopy i:\*.* /s/e/f h:\→(i is the letter of the mounted .iso and h is the letter of the usb drive where you want to copy the files from i)→Untitled14 This process will take another 10-15 minute. When the copping proces is done just type:→exit(this command will exit the cmd)Untitled15 That was all , your usb drive is now bootable .
If you don't mind me askin you for help.I downloaded a recovery for vista, the disk tray don't work so i need usb. I tried Ultra Iso It says WARNING Iso Image May not boot properly & it doesn't, the vista says boot failed. I tried Iso to Usb it says cannot create bootable disk. I'm usin an antique windows xp & it doesn't have the search box in start the menu. So i can't find how to get into command prompt.
Thanks! excellent tutorial except for when I tried "format fs=fat32 quick" it asked for the volume label! So I had to use "list volume" command to find out the volume label and then issue "select volume" and then use the format fs=fat32 quick command.
Thanks for your warm comment Taleb, Your welcome.. :) Here I'm used the tool 'Snagit', you can get a free trial from here: www.techsmith.com/snagit.html
if I skip the "clean" part, will partitioning it and everything overwrite or damage all the stuff I currently have in my usb drive? Cause I want it to be both able to store its own stuff (and I got nowhere else for that stuff to backup) and also be bootable.
But I don’t have Windows install disk. All I want to do is wipe my drive before I dispose of this old laptop. Don’t have any disks. There is no factory reset ( as some videos said). I tried prog diskwipe, but said couldn’t wipe c: drive as in use. So, I made a bootable Zip drive. But when I boot from Zip doesn’t see c: drive. Evidently not possible to wipe c: clean for average user. Now I remember why I switched to an iPad.
Hello is that G drive you were talking about is the DVD windows installer you inserted on the diskdrive and then you copied it into the USB,, Im hoping for your reply sir thanks a lot :)
Issue now with the XP when I place the USB and tell the PC to boot from the USB it just tells me there is no OS on the USB and just continues to boot my old OS.
I'm at the ' xcopy ' stage and it starts copying from my virtual drive to the USB but it keeps getting to the same place and saying 'access denied ' I'm running as administrator

Q
Which screen recorder you are using brother ?.
Thank you very much. I'm surprised it still works in 2018.
Thanks a lot!! Works in 2019 too :)
Pls, tell me, "*.*" why this has been used here? What does it stand for?
* mean all file, so *.* is all file with any extension.

It is not necessary to show the DiskPartition part. You could just reformat using some USB format tool. Faster and easier.

Only shows disk 0 which is the hard drive of the computer
