- Really good Freak Show show from Métropolis in Montreal, Quebec. There's an issue with the left channel cutting out at times. I think it's like that on my VHS tape I took it from, so there was probably an issue when I made my dub way back when. Hopefully it's still enjoyable. I've seen other versions of songs from this show, but this looks to be a little bit better quality, despite the sound issue.

God Silverchair used to be so amazing! It all came burning down to the ground in 2007, but up until that 5th abomination of an album they vomited up, I believed Silverchair was unstoppable. I desperately miss all the talent they used to have, especially Daniel.

Yeah unfortunately Daniel deleted a whole album because he said he was sick of doing angry and then wrote Young Modern instead. Bloody anti depressants! Wish I heard that deleted album…

@@MrZZsharka I think you’re right I was confusing with diorama. In the documentary he mentions coming out of medication and writing tuna. Nonetheless this happened way before the 5th album. I think DJ simply wanted to write different things. For the record I love them all ;p
I’m pretty much never gonna experience them live since they broke up more than a decade ago but this makes me feel like I’m there in a way thanks!

It’s both brilliant and sad that children decided to name their album Freak Show. They really were put on display, turned into a spectacle, and this made them super vulnerable to abuse. These live performances prove how unwarranted all of that was. THESE WERE MINORS. THESE WERE SOME RANDOM KIDS FROM AUSTRALIA AND THEY HAD THE CROWD EATING OUT OF THEIR HANDS. I’ll never get over that, the performance quality they had at such a young age.

You can really here the pain in his voice back then. I started to watch lots of Daniels interviews these past weeks and he said he wouldn't play live again. My guess is these songs are too painful for him to sing anymore. Poor guy went through a few big health problems so if that keeps him sane and healthy not to perform live anymore or reunite Silverchair, I accept and understand that. Korn has a song that Jonathan will not sing live as it's just too painful for him.

Duuude, I was at that Minneapolis show too! My brother lived in Iowa at the time, and I was going up there to see two KISS shows with him, and silverchair just happened to be playing Minneapolis the night before the first KISS show in Iowa, so I went to that too. So good!

It cracks me up on the old hot heat generated overhead lighting back in the 90's. How lighting has changed over the years...They needed dimmer packs. Ha! The band probably didn't have in-ear monitors..

I can't believe Daniel smashed that PRS! Right at the end - I don't think he actually broke it, but he might have... He swung it like an axe, crashing into the stage floor. Those PRS guitars are mahogany - a soft wood. They sound incredible but break easy.
There was another concert when that platinum PRS stopped working multiple times. I don't think he liked it very much lol
Man do I love the old Silverchair live performances. This is the peak times they kicked ass! Thanks for the upload...It sucks that Dainel flew off the deep end which the breakup probably caused Ben's breakdown too. I hope someday they will at least do a reunion concert. It would sell out quick!
