- 2K or 2 part Raptor Liner is an extremely durable product that is designed to withstand heavy use/abuse. In this video I show you how to apply Raptor Liner to sliders, bumpers, and other 4x4 parts. I recently purchased a pair of used sliders with a step/kickout so I wanted to add some grip for my vertically challenged family members while improving their durability. Raptor liner was the clear choice as it is arguably the best DIY bedliner on the market. See links below for all the products that were used in this video. Thanks so much for watching!
The Raptor Liner I used 1L (enough for 2 coats): amzn.to/49H1Oog
2 Can Pack of Aerosol 2k Raptor Liner: amzn.to/4aYJisN
Raptor Acid Etch Primer (for bare metal) Aerosol: amzn.to/3Q2efUH
6" Nylon Cup Brush: amzn.to/4414zjf

You should upload more content about your Toyota 4runner, we just bought a Trd off road premium and your videos have helped us a lot 😎😎
Thanks so much! I have some maintenance videos planned for the near future. Hope you’re enjoying the off road premium 😁👍🏼
I live in northern Michigan where they dump lots of salt and lots of sand on the roads for 5 months out of the year. After 1 winter the powder coat on my bumpers was chipped and rusting. I spent a lot of time prepping then sprayed 3 coats of raptor liner. After 2 winters not a chip or spot of rust. The 2X rattle cans are great for smaller jobs but they don’t go far. It took 4 cans to do my fender flares and they are pricey but it has held up just as good as the bumpers which were done with a spray gun
This was a perfect first video. Want to do the same on my silverado boards and you just saved me about $50
Painted my 02 Tacoma with there tintable linner… love it! It’s all in the prep.
Wish i saw this video sooner 😂,
Im about halfway through scuffing a powder coated canopy been going at it for a few days, the nylon cup brush would’ve had me done in a third of that! Awesome video thanks for sharing ❤
Great video thank you
Has anyone rolled Rust-Oleum truck bed liner on GoRhino RB20 running boards?
Great video gonna do this to mine also and front and rear bumpers on my wrangler. Did one bottle do both step bars? And how is it holding up?
I’ve seen this product but never used it. Once you mix the paint and hardener what is the shelf life. Can I use it a day/week/month later for another project? Or is it once mixed use it and chuck away the residue?
Thanks
I have a car that the left front fender was damaged. I have the replacement part. It cost too much to have just one, painted. Was thinking to have both fenders done with this
Does it require an adhesion promoter to be applied first?
If you cannot reach a spot to abrade it, adhesion promoter can be used in that spot as a substitute. Adhesion promoter isn’t necessary if you abrade the area
@@T4Rgarage cool. Thx!
I built a deck for the back seat floor to cover my tools so that my kids don't have a messy truck. Do you think this coating would be good for the for the boards?
I spray this stuff over a storage drawer box I made for my hatch and it’s very durable. I highly recommend the 2 part Raptor liner
@T4R Garage might be a good video idea. I made my storage area out of armorcore which is like a fiberglass panel made with Kevlar and now I need to coat it with something durable to prevent Kevlar fibers getting everywhere
Did you only use the 1 bottle for the entire job?
Yes, just one bottle for two coats and had some left to spare
I am buìlding a hardcore offroading klr650 enduro bike and plan to paint the gas tank and plastics with this stuff...The bike gos off trail alot and is scratched af from branches and stuff... You (or any viewers) have any thoughts or tips for me?
That damn thing is already heavy enough don’t do it
@@Rfunk819 lol definitely true for most but i am 6 foot 8.. I whip that bike around like it ain't nothing... Not too heavy for me...
It is a rockSLIDER and you are adding friction to it sliding
You’re right, originally I was only going to apply it to the top half. I figure the Raptor is pretty strong but should be no match to an almost 5000 pound vehicle. As mentioned in the video, if it comes off I’ll hit those spots with Rustoleum
Hey I wanted to say that I love your vids and was wondering by any chance if you could do a video of a complete walkthrough of what your 4Runner looks like currently? I have an MGM Video be as well and was planning on getting a new front bumper painted and would love to see how good of a match it looks. Hope to hear soon! Do you have an Instagram account dedicated to your 4Runner!?
