Recently leased this exact pathfinder. Shopped different brands quite a bit and have to say the nissan was the nicest. Honda's quality has really took a dive. Was shocked after test driving their suv's and the prices they were giving me. Pretty happy with our pathfinder

Nicely done my friend I have to agree with you, Pathfinder seems to be one of the better 3-row SUVs in the class now and the excellent lease deals is cherry on top congrats

I just bought the Platinum model three weeks ago. I love it! I tried every SUV I could and the Nissan had the most knee room and most comfortable seats for my big ass. I went from a Grand Cherokee. I picked the green with a black roof. Looks great!

@bob2823 I'm a Overland with summit package; 4 different jeeps over the last 15 years.
      I love the Pathfinder Platinum.
After 10 months, what do you think of it? Still like it more than the jeep?

@@_Jolyn There are pros and cons, but overall, my Jeep just fit me better. I liked the 190" size better and if I had to do it over, I would have kept my 2016 Jeep. Too much tech on the Nissan.

The VQ engines are some of the best V6 engines put into any US market truck or passenger vehicle, not just a Nissan. Have owned several over the years. Each one has run just as well as it did when it was new, even with nearly 250k miles on it - VQ40 in my Frontier still runs smooth and pulls like a mule, doesn't burn a drop of oil. Buy any VQ-based Nissan with confidence.

For the money I don't think you'll find anything with as many options and features. I just bought a '24 Platinum and got a great deal. No other make offers so much for the money. Comparable Mazda, Kia, or Acura would be $5k-$10k more easily.

We just bought a 2023 SL Premium. We love it with one exception...Interior ambient lighting SUCKS!!
The Platinum is awesome in this regard. However it appears there is no upgrade for the SL other than a kit to light up the lower center console area.
Without that, there is only 1 usable ambient light over the phone charge area. I say one usable because there are two more ambient lights under the dash for the floor. The crazy thing is that they ONLY light when you open the doors and they are pretty much drowned out by the regular interior lights being on???
So, if thats the only thing we are disappointed in, we are doing pretty good...

They compared a Platinum vs the Pilot Elite. They praised the interior over the Pilot but gave the Honda a slight edge on driving and handling. Slight advantage on the Honda transmission. The Nissan drives better in Sport mode. If Nissan offers 0%, I'm going to really check it out.

Some negatives I noticed coming from a Durango. Wish it came with a 24gal fuel tank. It comes with an 18gal tank and just feels like it uses more gas when in reality it doesn't. It just feels that way because it has a smaller tank. Next, wish there was more aftermarket support and they offered a Turbo and/or Supercharger for it. It feels laggy. A Supercharger or Turbo would make this vehicle more exciting and more passing power. Lastly, the front end I'm not a fan of. Love the side and Rear profile but he headlights look ugly to me. Overall, great car. This engine is proven and very reliable.

Really nice overview of the car! I agree with you 100%! I checked it out at the dealership today and I liked it a lot. Except for the fact it’s gone now and have to wait for 2 months to get it if you want the SL trim, at least where I live… the market is still crazy and I think maybe I should wait? I don’t know anymore

    • @MeynMotorGroup

I would def wait it out my friend. I would not buy one of these without a 6-8% off discount. Try inquiring at a few dealerships perhaps even out of state if you have to. And if all else fails, you can reach out to AutoCompanion they are always running great sales on Nissan but you would have to pick up at Washington DC

@Exhaust Sports Auto jatco CVTs ruined the Nissan brand. Knowing that they are bad they still use those transmission in many of their cars, that show how they really care about the quality of their products. I want to buy the pathfinder, but highlander/4runners are safer options. I was in Mexico and rented a versa with a 4 speed auto transmission, and the engine and transmission were solid.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  Год назад +16

@@hobolyf this has a 9 speed ZF.. but they have improved their Xtronic CVTs over time and honestly they perform better than most automatics in the segment. Honda has had an awful history with automatic transmissions and CVT transmissions but Honda never got scrutinized or had their reputation tarnished like Nissan which I think is very funny gives good insight into how the public views things

There should be a class action lawsuit for the rear brakes wearing out at 15K miles in normal driving conditions. Stay away from this vehicle. Passenger seat is so low the passenger can't see anything. I hate the fact that it can't recognize a bike rack or trailer and slams on the brakes when backing. I have to disable the rear emergency braking every time I start the vehicle. Nissan really didn't think through it's engineering on this one. Did I mention I have had to pull over a couple of times to reboot the vehicle due to every idiot light coming on and erroring out!!! Took pictures and showed my Nissan dealership maintenance and they replaced my battery thinking it would resolve the issues. NOPE! It still does it especially up in the mountain passes. Once again stay away from this POS.

Not exactly. While the badge says 4x4, I can assure you it’s still a clutch based awd system. The Nissan marketing department developed the terminology 4x4-i despite it being a full time awd system. This is a completely different system than that in the trucks.
