  • Today is a sad day for all of us... we lost an amazing soul. A great training partner, motivator, and most important, friend. Doug was always there in the gym, eager to help out and motivate everyone that he came in contact with. From our times training at 3AM, to the countless hours on set of the Movie Divinity we did together, the impact Doug had not just on my life, but those around him was monumental. Show your love and support in the comments for our brother Doug 🙏

    I’m amazed he wasn’t inspired to join the lifetime natural club training around Mike all the time . For fucks sake you really don’t need more than 21 inch arms and a 55 plus inch chest that Mike probably has and I have as a lifetime natural and Im still improving at 55 years old. One day people will realise there is a limit to size that people will aspire to want to have. Rip to him and all the iron brothers who have died prematurely in the last 60 years.

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 23 дня назад +1

      I'm also a huge natural while staying relatively lean, amazing genetics obviously. I rarely run into people with genetics like that, it's unbelievably rare as a natty. I'm younger than you though. I want to be like that at 55 and even getting older than that. Unbelievable if you're truly natural with that kind of size in your mid 50s. Obviously weighing 315 pounds and lean on steroids is pushing it. No reason to be bigger than Mike natural or not. I'm not quite Mikes size and leanness, but super close while natty, but in my late 30s, so a lot younger than you and Mike. You believe Mike is natural, I still have my doubts, but yeah it's obviously possible. We want to keep our health. That's the main reason I'm natural. Muscle and strength are amazing for longevity if you're natural. If you use steroids to get there that changes a lot. RIP Doug, he was a very intelligent man. He had a lot of good advice about training and bodybuilding regardless of his steroid abuse, which had nothing to do with his death by the way.

    • @jamproject9
      @jamproject9 23 дня назад

      @@billj4525 The lifetime natural road is taken alone and no fucks are given . No true natural gives a damn about praise or admiration from others . Mike chose the public path to educate with his RUclips channel and therefore cops the flack of those frustrated individuals out there that have commitment issues and or can’t handle the depths of darkness needed to progress, I’ve been training since 18 years of age and know how to generate the ferocious intensity needed . It’s the feeling I get inside and outside the gym that keeps me in it. I will hopefully end up living in the states again by next year as I’m in Australia . I will be hitting up Mike for some serious training only because I’m curious where I’ll stand with his performance as a fellow natural and being the the same height and age as myself . I’ll tell you from the get go though Mike is the foremost leader of the Natural pack and has put more hours and dedication into training than even most of the Open Olympia competitors . The difference is he will be enjoying a longer healthier future doing what he loves . If I can best him in two or three exercises then I’ll be smiling. People just don’t get the fact that “Lifetime Naturals “ really do continue to progress even in their 50’s.

      Easy to say that knowing he's dead though. If he was alive and talking about how happy he was those same connections wouldn't be made. I honestly don't see unhappiness at all. He looked happy enough most of the time. He posted on his own channel and gave plenty of good advice. I have no idea when he relapsed though. Obviously he was having even a tougher time towards the end, but he was fine here, or at least appeared it.
