Same. After about 3 hours of trying different shaders, methods and everything, wondering why Particle Info exit nodes don't seem to work, decided to look for a video online, and when I heard that line, I was like FUCK FUCK FUCK :)
The cubes are all oriented in the same direction (see at 2:50-3:05). How can we align the cubes in curve direction (with the a face forward like a car or a plane)?
Please do share if you do. My graphics card does not support Cycles particles so the result was not pretty (rendering in Cycles for my computer takes about 2 - 5 minutes for one simple image and up to 15 for complex, so animation is not possible in Cycles).
On same node (Particle Info) just under the Index that he used is another labeled Random. It already outputs a number between 0-1 which is what a color ramp is, so you should be able to plug directly into there without a map range. Then plug color ramp into shader.
This totally not a bot is maybe one of the single most valuable channels on this entire platform.
"Make sure to use Cycles" Thank you! I thought I was going crazy.

This is a great materials/shaders series, easy to follow but covers a lot of different things. Thanks!
Thank you for this xx
Your videos are such inspiring! Thank you so much!
COOOL do it again for particle info shader 😁❤
this is AMAZING! THANK YOU!!!
There we go!!
thanks mate!

Can you change instance particle color in Eevee??
Eevee doesn't support Particle Info Node.I think you can make it in different way with eevee. But I really dont have any idea about it.
@@GraphicsMK thanks for your answer
@@johnson738 U are welcome. If I find a way, I will share here.

The particles take on the colors one by one. How can I mix up the particles colorfully like Smarties?

@@aladdin9027 Ah, Random output. I will try, thanks buddy!
