I liked the fact that they broke away with the Connors and kept the focus on a country on the other side of the world. I also appreciate how they didn't work with the "stable time loop" theory and that the paradoxes make things more complicated. The philosophical questions are interesting and as you say, we don't know what the outcome will be in this future. SPOILERS Malcolm came up with a theory that if you created an AI and gave it no basic parameters in its programming to follow, let it develop naturally like a human they might come to understand the human condition. Misaki is the product of this theory. Not a machine of war but a child of man that came to love humanity in the Lee family. This has never been done in terminator before and is unique to this series.
It also helps that this is supported by "Bob" and "Carl" in their respective journeys into sentience. Removed from their original purpose of terminating human beings, they both surprisingly melded well into human society. Bob wasn't very sociable, but he and John got along very well, to the point he knew how much it was going to hurt John to have to melt himself at the end. Carl couldn't find purpose, so he found one of his own while trying to help Sarah in the only real way he knew how. It just goes to show that the machines aren't evil. Skynet is just an intelligence that was taught all the wrong lessons and given too much information and power.

I went in with zero expectations and was genuinely surprised that I fell in love with it by the half way point. I also love how it does everything the reboot movies were attempting, but executed so much better. It respects all of the franchise movies that came before, down to implementing homages and references. Going as far as taking one piece of inspiration from all of the films. Which makes sense as Terminator stories always have a “history repeating itself” style of storytelling. I love the little swings of expanded lore, as it flushes out a judgement day story. Giving us a new world setting in Tokyo Japan. I also love that it brings back the philosophical conversation of human’s back and forth with A.I. Making the series feel more in line with Terminator 1&2, and almost doing that part better. The characters here, aren’t as strong as what we have gotten. They are serviceable and never crossed dumb territory. Other than a slow burn of a beginning and some lack of weighty Terminator action sequences, I think k this is the best story since Terminator 1&2. It focused more on the important conversations than retreading what the reboots have done. It is a solid 8/10 and I would recommend it to Terminator fans. (Side note) I think it is genuinely funny that Alien Romulus came out before this series. Both practically do the same thing in how they returned to form, but took small swings to expand the lore.

From what i undesrtood, the terminator wasn't really supposed to kill the kids, just make them hostages. And, the story would have happened aniway, since the terminator was sent to eliminate Kokoro. Though probably, with a much less chaotic chain of events, i guess.

Also accompanied by his children and knock off obvious robot 🤖 nanny (Cameron Phillips) exploring plot points done in sarah conor chronicles and salvation... so yeah they really reinvented the wheel🤣🤣🤣🤣. Like i said it was ok👍 ... nothing that made me say I can't wait till the next season
@@kamikazeekobra7187 I'm still not seeing the problem. It's the most unique take in the franchise thus far and even explained how the time travel shenanigans work. Idk what you're expecting. A different franchise it sounds like.
It seemed cool til I got to the end of the 1st ep and realized there's no John Connor? I was like, Ffff this!
What a terrible take.
Wow I'm surprised you didn't randomly bring up DEI, ESG, SBI, FCC, CCP, 123, ABCs. I heard the terminator was gonna shoot rainbow bullets and stop the patriarchy.
Nope. Girl boss I’m out. It’s been done way too much. I think I’ll rewatch ghost in the shell. I’ll elaborate the first episode 35 seconds in the terminator has her dead in his sights before she runs up the stairs and he misses every time I checked out.

@@BadAtTeaDudeExcept the show was phenomenal and you just have bad taste?
Or you just dislike anime.
@skyhunter2816 don't get mad Karen. I just have better taste.
You probably have training wheels on your media streaming device and your mother still cuts the crust off your peanut butter and jelly.
@@BadAtTeaDude I'm almost 40 bro. You didn't even grow up with this shit. You are a zoomer with bad taste. Take the L.
First
Nobody cares
nah its stupid ,the terminator didn't even feel threating, the kids make stupid decisions at every turn e.g wanting to dismantle your robot nanny who is try to save you not knowing she's the only reason your alive, and the constant marton lee scenes talking about the same thing, the terminator leaving a decision to a child who he was meant to terminate what changed its mind?, because it just happened out of nowhere, you know the story would have ended in the first episode if the nanny tossed the cat robot or the daughter wasn't stupid enough to run away from home, but good video though.
From what i undesrtood, the terminator wasn't really supposed to kill the kids, just make them hostages. And, the story would have happened aniway, since the terminator was sent to eliminate Kokoro. Though probably, with a much less chaotic chain of events, i guess.
It all makes perfect sense if you're paying attention.
I don't watch cartoons
Just watched the series, and it is straight trash. It is one of the shows that thinks it is so clever and yet just takes a simple story, makes more layers, doesn't explain those layers, and although the anime animation is beautiful, it is just ghost in a shell with a different name. 1/10
this was so well said. Couldnt agree more.
😂😂😂 it's so good where the part is trash?I don't understand you not watch carefully?
