I personally think this is the best tudor release this year. Metas certified , ceramic, beautiful presented open case back, limited supply, beautiful looking, in house movement and for the price point it's amazing value. If this had a rolex stamp on it, it would be 8k not £3,550. Ordered one and looking forward to adding it to my collection. I know its not for everyone but it's going to be a classic in years to come. Tudor is a brand where Rolex was years ago. Their watches will not be at this reasonable price point forever. Getting a collection of tudors at the moment before I cant afford them.

    • @Spielen89
      @Spielen89 3 года назад +1

You conveniently missed out the other releases from Tudor which have bracelets lol. Also they wouldn’t put a bracelet on any of the watches you’ve mentioned because it would blow them out of the water from a price perspective which isn’t what Tudor is about. If you want a solid gold bracelet go buy a Rolex.
Also they won’t make a bronze bracelet because it would react with people skin. Just like how the case back on the bronze bay isn’t bronze.

Hi Adrian, I see two things:
    A) Tudor (and Rolex) is positioning itself as a technical innovator by attacking Omega with the Metas certification, 15kGauss and ceramic case. So Omega is now kept in a sandwich position between Tudor (also pricewise) and Rolex.
    B) Tudor gets out of the shadow of Rolex. It is no longer the little brother, yes it is cheaper but the anticipated Tudor value is improving with an attractive pricing. It is not the watch anymore for people who cannot afford a Rolex.
The Rolex buyer and fanboy who wants innovation gets it now from Tudor. This is Hans Wilsdorf style, brilliant move

Love it. I don't always like the blacked out look on a watch, if it's at the expense of readability. Reading the bezel however is not imperative for me. Seems like a great value. You're such a good shooter - would love to see you on location more.

Awesome movement this, but the dial and bezel not serving the purpose of a tool watch as you rightfully mentioned. Gr8 work!! Keep em coming…..

I like the snowflake hand design on the underside of the strap. That’s a nice touch. I don’t like the bezel at all. Looks like it’s unfinished. Great quality I’m sure but not great on the eye for me.

Not a dive watch, a sports watch, that you don't need to worry about getting wet. Looks great but another unobtainable watch unless you want to pay 3-4 times retail on watch websites. I have to ask who is buying the current crop of Rolex/Tudor watches that are advertised privately for grossly inflated prices.

I bought the limited edition Omega 'METAS Certified' limited edition '57 Railmaster. Less that one year old and condensation appeared under the crystal. It had never been near water ! A few weeks later it stopped - no reason, neither knocked or dropped. Luckily my AD was able to replace it immediately - they had two of these limited edition watches ! Although I think I was just basically unlucky, I couldn't help saying to my AD " so much for METAS !

I’d still need a bracelet. I’m not a nato or leather strap guy, so most of these releases are a miss for me (minus the chrono, which I got). I keep wanting to like these, but they just need 1-2 more tweaks IMO.

I like what Tudor is doing so far this year, things can get really exciting when they switch their attention to Pelagos. The watch is pretty cool, but The Zenith A384 Shadow is still ahead on my list for a blacked out, understated watch that screams I am quite expensive once spotted by a watch enthusiast.

Ngl thats looking pretty awesome gotta love the scratch resistance of ceramic! Although it would have been nice to have the bezel numerals lumed or filled in with something the same color as the indices. I think its needed to level out the contrast of the main indices on a completely blacked out watch

I find the watch too black or dark?? is it just me? I'd love for Tudor to experiment on colors to make it more vibrant and more appealing to look at especially during the day now that they've started using ceramic. Maybe this is more of a test to see how many are willing to purchase before Tudor starts releasing colors? But thanks for this video and the close ups! Real informative! not too many hands on reviews yet

In any event, Tudor is stepping up with their movements and this one is a beauty. Not something I'd get, but this will fly off the shelf...if it ever actually get on the shelf.

To me it kind of feels that Tudor have forced this one through.
yes cheaper than the Omega Carbon but with an Omega you have a completely practical watch as well as a stylish watch.
To me this watch doesn’t fit the Tudor brand though the Tudor/Rolex social media world will take this watch and run with it and no doubt create false hype which imo only goes to encourage massive watch snobbery over other brands.
