Just want to point out a couple things. - For this, while I know it’s fantasy, I tried to put this together without simply going “ok this player has the best stats, he goes up top”. Thats boring. - While I did look at stats, I also looked at team’s draft tendencies to try and put together something as realistic as possible, at least in my eyes. - Also, just because a player on here may not have made the Majors yet, doesn’t mean another player should go above them. I weighed future potential as well. Hope this clears things up about my thought process 👍 Also ☝️ I probably could have gone with Nick Gonzalez and Gavin Stone somewhere on here. In hindsight, I’d probably do Gonzalez to the Twins, and Stone to the Braves.
Westburg has still proven enough to go in the top 10 here. He’s the more solid foundational piece than Kjerstad for us right now, even weighing ceiling heavily. Westburg is having an All-Star caliber season already
@@Bmorefan358he definitely has, but again, I also looked into team draft tendencies. Most of the teams in the top 10 from that draft don’t usually draft college position players minus the Orioles, but in this case I believe Evan Carter has higher upside than Westburg. Perhaps the Blue Jays could have been a fit since they went college, but I’m buying more into the Kjerstads potential. Could have done Westburg for the Pirates, but since they went with Henry Davis a year later, I figured Bailey was a good pick. With all that said, Westburg for me ended up with the Rangers 🤷♂️
It would be really cool to see you go back and re-grade first rounds from the past. Those videos for NFL usually do really good so it’ll get good views too
Sleeping on Nick Gonzales a little bit. I know things weren’t looking too hot for him early on but he’s been basically the best hitter on the Pirates this season.
I hope teams don't look at Torkelson's struggles as reasons to not draft positionally limited players highly in the draft. I still believe in taking a great player at a less valuable position over a good player at a more valuable position.
Just a question. Spencer Strider opțed to get the splint or sleeve instead of straight Tommy John surgery. What does this mean in terms of recovery time and when he might be back. Ďo you know Robbie or anyone?
He was only a few years away from free agency, universal DH was implemented in 2022, and the Phillies wouldn’t have had to rush him up like the Tigers did. Sounds like a great fit.

For Evan Carter its "growing pains" but for JWalk hes worse than kjerstad lol? Id bet my life savings on walker being better than Carter by the end of their careers
Why is Veen so high. Dude isn't even a top100 guy anymore, plus according to Just baseball ..hes one of the worst OF in the sport. Ill take everyone on this video over him
@@rhyde mid season, after dozens of guys graduated. After the draft... he won't be. Just baseball did a bit on him. It was about 5 min, of how bad he is in terms of his pick and progress
What are you talking about? He’s #90 overall on Pipeline, #86 on Baseball America, and he’s doing very well this year. Also very athletic, and fine in the field. I have him there because he was the Rockies original pick. No need to switch it.
No disrespect to those guys, but I strongly disagree with that take. He was hurt last year, and he has tools for days. Also, because he’s still so young and is having a great season so far, I expect to actually move up in the top 100.
@@rhyde i can take that, but even thn. Guys like Winn, who are in the same age range. Hes on pace for like a 5war season. Him above winn? 30% krate at AA after like 3 bad seasons. Hes just to high imo
I actually had Crochet at 3, but decided to switch it considering Crochet is still in his first full season as a starter. Also it was just a clean swap replacing complete lefty Asa Lacy with him 😂

Two Cardinals in the Top 10... If only they could turn more of this draft talent into big league success for the club
Wild the Cardinals now have walker, winn, Burleson, hence, and Saggese from this draft
Cardinals low key won the draft. Or the Giants.
Nick Gonzales not being a first rounder is crazy. He's been great at the plate this year and still has a lot of potential

Could probably go with him over Schmitt here
Cool video. Could you do older drafts? Even from like over a decade ago.
Thanks! It’s off to a good start view wise so people seem to like the idea. Looks like more will be coming!
Dodgers with another gem 💎 in the first
Crazy how well the giants drafted this year
So good!
Don’t tell their fans that
Nah we’re good, we’ll stick with Kjerstad lmao
No way someone like Veen goes above Westburg. Dudes a borderline all-star in his first full season. He goes top 10 easily

Just goes to show the numbers don’t mean much. I personally think it’s just been a bad fit.

Good ol TJ
Don’t sleep on Nick Gonzales
Probably could have put him on here. Twins would have been a good spot at least.
I feel that the Braves would have taken Pfaadt instead of Hancock
Possible!
I feel like Mayo would definitely go top 15
In hindsight, because of the numbers, sure, but I also tried to make this realistic based off team’s drafting tendencies.
Phillies take a first baseman when we had rhys?

Kerstad is on the Os and Carter is on the Texas. Not the cubs bro
My friend. I think you might have a misunderstanding of what this video is about.
